If I could give zero stars then I would because that's what this place of business has earned. Their lack of customer service and incompetent is clearly obvious when you're dealing with them. I had referred my daughter to trust in this operation to entrust her order of special dog food for her pet: they kept giving her the run around on when it was ready...when they finally said it was ready my daughter went to pick it up and they had said it was never readied. What? What kind of place is this that tells the customer it's ready and then they say it's not! They need to all be in the same page. The manager was also extremely rude, apologizing for nothing and not addressing what could be done about this. The manager just kept saying it wasn't there ...NICE! REAL PROFESSIONAL! And my daughters dog needed this medication desperately. She specifically waited on this store to get the food in for her dog counting and entrusting them to create the order! Now she is out the food and has to frantically scramble through other pet stores to find this specific food! What a mess! The manager even ended up hanging up the phone on my daughter as to just excuse the situation and not handle it as a PROFESSIONAL manager would be expected to do! Never and I mean NEVER would I ever recommend this store to anyone looking for great customer service as they clearly lack it and could care less about their Customer s and their pets!

The staff greeted as we walked in. They kindly asked if we needed help and they showed us where in the store we could go to find our specific need. Even though we came the week between Christmas and New Year's we were able to find a jacket for our dog, Lucy. We took our time walking with her around the store after we found our item. The check out person was friendly and efficient. It was a really nice relaxed experience after the season of hustle and bustle.

I always find good quality products at the West Chester store. They carry premium dog food brands and pretty good dog clothing. Employees are knowledgeable and available. Overall great store!

When I entered the store, mandy()asked if I needed any help right away and she helped show me what I needed and I got the things she recommended for my puppy like dog food, milk replacement . My puppy is super happy with what he got. The customer service mandy provided was great! She was really genuine. I'll be coming here again for the great service and verity of pet needs in such a clean and organized store!

Great selection. Prices are high but it’s a one stop shop for all your needs. I get all my car and dog supplies there. I also started getting beta fish and snails. Sadly, the snails don’t make it after the first day. 4 out of 5 didn’t survive a night. But, it’s a couple bucks to take the risk. Beats are doing well. They have good variety to choose from most weeks.The grooming is awesome there too. Just need to get an appointment a long time in advance.

I love coming here to use their self-service dog washing station! It's affordable and so much cheaper than going to a groomers to bathe my dog. The employees are helpful and everything is usually neat. I only took away one star because a lot of the small animals don't seem to be in good health or condition.Come here to buy pet food and supplies, not the animals.

I’ve shopped at pet supplies plus for years. Every time I’m disappointed in the tiny containers the beta fish are kept in. Some are even grey, still, and DEAD at the bottom of their container. The pamphlets THEY PROVIDE on beta fish say they are supposed to be kept in a 2.5 gallon aquarium. Those containers don’t look like 2.5 gallons to me. They can’t even follow their own rules that describe how to properly care for a pet. It’s disgusting.

I only made a quick stop into this store on my way through town to check it out as I was in the Plaza for other reasons and I was surprised at the selection they had of non cat/dog items ... the staff were very very friendly and seemed to really enjoy working there =)

I had purchased a baby Guinea pig from them a couple months ago and she died 17 days later. I took her to the vet days before she died and the veterinarian diagnosed her with severe pneumonia which she said likely came from the pet store given how short we had her for. Either this place is getting in sick Guinea pigs or they’re not taking care of them properly. I keep visiting and I see Guinea pigs with the same symptoms before my little girl passed. It’s so very unfortunate how these Guinea pigs are being treated in their cages even. Their water bottle are so low where they can barely reach and they never seem to have hay which is primarily what their diet consists of. If anyone wants to help these poor piggies I advise that they take them to the vet right away. This place has lost my trust.

We took our fur baby in for a wash while traveling through PA. The only interaction with an employee was initially when paying to use the service in front of other employees working at the fish tanks and having to step across a hose. My hubby is disabled and navigating the maze was challenging. The employee walked us back to the dog wash area, put in the tokens and told us to turn the knob to stop after ringing then to the dryer. The tub was filthy with dog hair and when I asked if there was a trash can to put it in, was told 'no, we don't even clean them'. I was given as couple of old tattered towels and the employee walked out.The tub had a shelf with an oatmeal shampoo and a hyperallergenic shampoo shampoo along with a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner and also a puppy shampoo. Water pressure and dryer pressure was adequate. Overall it served the purpose although the room itself, as the tub, was full of hair and floor dirty. I carried my fur baby out of the room as employees at the fish tanks (outside of the washroom to the right) had water on the floor along with the hose across the aisle.Employees need to be educated on preventing potential accidents, not only for customers but themselves.

I’ve never rushed quicker to write a review to a place. The groomer here, Mariah, is one of the kindest and sincere people and I feel so comfortable leaving my dog for the day knowing he is in her hands. She always does an incredible job and treats your dog like her own. Today, my dog was acting like a giant baby and didn’t want to walk across the parking lot, another employee came out and cheered him on and he walked right in.My dog was also very excited leaving the groomers after being there all day and was pulling me on the way out. He has about forty pounds on me and when Mariah realized I was struggling she came running to help. I am beyond greatful for the kindness I was shown today by the Pet Supplies Plus staff and especially Mariah. Get your dog groomed here! You will not be disappointed.

Pet Supplies Plus is my favorite store to take my dog. She loves to pick out a new toy. They have a wide variety of food, toys and over the counter meds. Staff always greets me when I walk in the door. They’re all very pleasant and helpful.

Very helpful staff. They have a self wash dog washing station with a low station for large dogs and a raised one for small dogs which is very competitively priced. I also use their grooming services. Again, good pricing and good staff. Great selection of pet products and treats. You can order on line for pickup if that is easier. Ample parking.

The staff at this particular store, the three times that I've been there, are surprisingly personable, professional, knowledgeable, and prepared to provide customers with exceptional service. The store is clean, well-stocked, and offers a good variety at competitive prices. I'm actually shocked at how pleasant an experience I had buying treats for my girlfriend's dogs and bird.

I like this particular store very much. First off, they price match amazon and chewy etc. Just ask and show the price listing. They also have a continual cat adoption center at the front of the store. Sure, it's a strategy to create new customers. But its also needed with cat population explosion. There are pop-up vet events for cheap vax and basic care.But what I find very quaint about this particular location is that the staff appears to get recruited organically from a progressive community of diverse youth. All consistsntly super nice and very helpful ! It seems that word got out in certain circles that this is a good place to work. Networking at its finest. It reminds me of Portland OR. and lends this store a personality of its own that offsets the fact it is actually a large chain.

I have a "dog aggressive" dog and I've been taking him to the dog wash in this store for years. The employees know that my dog can be the only dog in the "two-dog" wash bay. Yesterday I and my husband had him there for a bath. We had already paid and my husband was waiting to be given towels and coins for the wash when a rude individual came up and said he needed to pay for his dog to use the dog wash. He was told that we were ahead of him (I had already taken my dog back to the wash area and was waiting inside) when the other customer said he needed to use the wash immediately and would only take 5 minutes. He was told he would have to ask us as we were there first. My husband told the rude customer to go back and ASK me. While my husband waited for the towels and coins, this rude individual came back to the wash area, barged in BEFORE I had a chance to lock the door to the wash bay, and told me that the manager had said he could go first. The man basically threw me out of the wash area. We waited and, after bathing our dog, I approached the manager and said I didn't appreciate what had transpired. The manager then told me that, the door to the wash is not allowed to be locked (it wasn't yet locked) but as a courtesy, they allow us to lock the door because they know our dog is "dog aggressive." He then said "Well, what do you want me to do about it? There's nothing I can do." The rude customer LIED to me because my husband later told me that he was the one who told the rude customer to ASK ME if I minded if he went first. That did NOT happen. The man just pushed past me into the wash bay while it was all I could do to control my own dog, who was trying to go after the other dog. I feel the manager was rude to me when I complained when leaving the store. If I managed that store I would have told the rude customer that "I'm sorry, but there's someone ahead of you and you'll have to wait." I've never had dealings with this particular "manager" before, and have always found ALL the employees to be courteous and friendly. They all know us because we are "regulars" at the doggy wash, but yesterday's visit and this particular manager's response to my complaint me left a lot to be desired.

Good prices and easy pickup. A polite staff member hoisted two 36lbs cat litter bags to my car parked in a well labeled curbside pickup spot after I placed the order online and then used the confirmation email link to indicate my arrival. This store is conventionally next to the grocery store. I'll definitely come back.

In all the times I've gone to Pet Supplies Plus in West Chester I have never been disappointed. Their rewards program is great, the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. Anyone can tell you where to find something; they know their store well. The manager is great, the products wonderful. I shop there for both my dog and the birds in the backyard. I have also used their groomers and was very satisfied with them.

Always a pleasant experience when we shop here. The staff is friendly and they have a great selection, and prices are fair. I love the fact they are constantly adopting out cats. The bathing area is nice! We take our dogs for baths all the time and it's nice and easy! We also have them groomed here and the groomers are always nice and good. Recommended!

Waste of my time. Went for a dog wash. Looked online and the store closes at 9:00 PM. Arrived at 7:30 and was told there were two dogs in the wash. They need an hour to clean it and we wouldn’t be able to use it.I get that it take time to clean but what a waste of my time. The emoji wasn’t friendly either. I’ll take my business elsewhere and you should too.

Update: No cats for adoption, just a cage that has been sitting empty for months. Star rating reduced for this reason.This is a great store, staff is extra helpful, and an excellent choice of items. Plus, rescue cats are available (not present during COVID, of course). We shop here weekly and are never disappointed.
