Shopped here today on the way to a friends house. Didn’t have any issues outside of the bag of pretzels I bought being expired by two months. Tried calling the store to give them a heads up but no one answered.

I generally like this place, but the changes that have happened are making me question whether or not I should start shopping somewhere else.Twice now within the span of a month, I have waited for help at the Meat/Seafood counter for over 30 mins, each time. I asked for help multiple times on each trip. I can understand it once, but twice? Back to back? Each time this happened, I went here just wanting to grab a few ingredients in 15-20 min. Now I'm an hour behind with a totally different set of groceries because I couldn't get the thing that I wanted. To say that I am fuming right now is an understatement. I told the manager I spoke to that it's unacceptable, and if I don't see improvement soon I'm taking my business elsewhere.

This Giant has become terrible: constantly out of everyday products that don’t get restocked for weeks, produce is constantly spoiled but still on the shelves, or the produce gets moldy within days of purchase. There’s constantly expired food products on the shelves. Today in the organic isle, there is heavy cream that expired on February 11th that is still available for sale (today is March 11). Expired chicken and meat is usually still on the shelf as well (again today, beef that expired on 3/10 is still out). The quality control at this Giant is nonexistent. The only positive is that the location is convenient and easy to get too.

It was old and everything was falling apart, i have stopped going to this location, feel like giant listened the community and remodeled this place like better than ever, with a grand opening and lots of coupons to neighborhood it showed off new additions like expanded natural food section, fresh produce, bakery, salad bar. Farm fresh organic fruits and veggies. Great customer service. 18 checkout lanes, self checkouts.

Giant launched in 1923 when David Javitch opened a small meat market in Carlisle, Pennsylvania called Carlisle Meat Market. In 1936, Javitch purchased a store in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, which he named the Giant Shopping Food Center. It was a major change from the original Carlisle Meat Market in that it was a total grocery store. The new store offered dry goods and perishables under one roof; a new concept at that time. The store was a success, and soon a decision was made to expand the original Carlisle store from a basic meat market into a full-fledged grocery store.

Easy access from Route 3 and has all the great services that you expect from Giant. The shopping center underwent a total upgrade so everything is new. COVID precautions are still in effect. The two new additions that will make this Giant stand out are the recent partnerships with the Flashfood app (which helps stores reduce food waste and the customers a bargain); the two free EV (electric vehicle) charging stations from Volta.

Shopped on a Sunday morning at 9 AM. Did a full week shopping order and I get to the checkout and there are no cashiers. How do you have one person working the entire front end of a grocery store on Sunday morning. If you expect your customers to ring up and bag all their own groceries and do the job of your employees then you need to lowered your damn prices and you need to have a system that works where you can fill more than three freaking bags without needing someone to come over and scan a card. I will not be doing large week orders at the store ever again I’m tired of it with GIANT. By the amount of people in the store, I think others feel the same way

Loyal customer here for a decade. The customer service here the last few months is in the toilet. 8 a.m. Sunday morning. ZERO cashiers, again. Over half of the self checkout lanes aren't open or working. Three different employees walking around doing the online orders. Three employees that just stand in the self checkout area that have to go back and forth as the customers mess up ringing themselves out. Blank stares and no answer when I ask what time do actual cashiers show up to work. If you can't staff the store properly, just close down and let a more competent business move in.

This place has never failed to let me feel like a criminal. The racial profiling is at a level I’ve never experienced before. They don’t even hide watching you at the registry guess am just in the wrong skin! 🤦🏽‍♂️ They will be busy doing other things but the minute I walk to scan my items they just appear! Had to literally say to the lady I paid you can stop watching now. She laughed and walk off because she knew exactly what she was doing.

Horrible, horrible store. Namely for the rude man that works in the alcohol department.Always out of key items and the old man in the wine and beer department has been rude numerous times to customers in front of me in line and very rude once to me.

This store has the rudest staff ever!!! Tried touse my rewards points today only to be told by rude Christine that rewards points can’t be used on the same, what kind of BS is that!!!!!Then why have them in the first place!!! And it that wasn’t bad enough, she went on to blab to other associates clearly knowing that I could hear her!!!! I told her that I could hear talking about me and her exact reply was”yes, I know”.Very unprofessional and rude associate you have working at your store.I will be following this review with corporate, people like this should not be around customers period!

The best GIANT in the area. Always well stocked, clean, easy access from main road (West Chester Pike), parking available all the time, great staff. Also they have self-check out.Fruits are priced higher than nearest compititor.

First time at this GiantMeat Department- fully stocked with a variety of meat.Deli- didn't have alot of options. You are not able to grab a ticket. Everything has to be done on the screen and most of the meats they have are not there.Freezer- fully stocked with everything.Grocery- fully stocked with all grocery items. The market is currently in renovation. Very clean, organized, and the staff was pleasant.

This store is constantly out of key items every time I come here. I was here yesterday and asked where the heavy whipping cream is and the employee told me they’ve been out of it for two months. How is that possible? I went down the road to shop rite and got it right away. The people who work at the deli are rude as well the store is always understaffed. Get it together.

This place has, at most, one single cashier open (if you’re lucky!) at the busiest times of day and week. Kind of ridiculous when you have $400+ worth of groceries.

Charge my EV while I shop for free. Very good meat department. Some local flavor in produce department would be nice.

Their new self checkout system is very irritating. You must keep your items in the bagging area or you can't scan the next thing, it really slows down the entire checkout process.

This giant has always had stock issues even before they remodeled a couple years back. Still remodeled and still have issues with selection. The one on boot road is much better. The main reason i'm writing this, is how does a grocery store NEVER have gallons of water available on a regular basis? I am talking none. Empty shelves in the whole half of an aisle of gallons of water is not a good look. I always end up driving across the road to Wawa to get my gallon of water after going grocery shopping. Pathetic. The only reason I keep coming back is because I literally live right next door.

Their prices are generally the lowest of the big supermarkets. It's a pretty good place to shop. Occasionally, some produce isn't the freshest, just look things over before putting it into your cart. There are fewer real cashiers now, which is annoying. No complaints otherwise.

It’s a shame because I want to give more stars but I can not for the multiple awful encounters I’ve had with Ben at the liquor section. First time he closed 3-4 minutes prior to closing time and when asked the manager they said they close at 10 and I said I know I was here at 9:56 and he refused to help me. Next time a gentleman was being helped and I was a minute late and instead of helping me told me he was closed even though he just rung out a customer. If you don’t like your job and if you don’t want to be there then please choose a different department to work in.

Disappointing for produce. Many items old, over ripe, even spoiled. Onions mushy, potatoes mushy, peppers soft and wrinkled not a huge variety. No quality control and when spoke with produce mgr. at Aldan store, he didn't seem to care.

ALWAYS check the Circular. Excellent weekly in store coupons. Usually some type of great meal deal (last week, by a lb. Of Corned Beef, get Rye bread, sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing free). The App has a weekly 5 point freebie, and more coupons!

I am not sure as to when most people grocery shop, but I always go Sunday morning. Start the week out with groceries for the week. The store published a deal on family ground beef. Buy a family pack and get a whole bunch of free taco items. By 10:00 am they were out of the meat. Please tell me how by 10:00 am you are out of meat that you advertised for the entire week. Plenty of smaller packs that they would not let me combine. The meat worker and managers were no help. Only to tell me that they package it in the morning and that’s it. During a pandemic we are trying to limit trips to stores. I made it a point to come here specifically for this deal. The staffs lack of help/compassion/caring lead to a poor customer experience. I get it, no one wants to be working right now, me included, but their attitude was piss poor

I have been going to this giant for quite a while now for the last couple years and I think it is hit or miss. When I went there today and several other times there is no half and half for coffee, barely any soft cat food. I do call ahead for Bakery items. I always buy their chocolate chips cookies with candy pieces because they are delicious.

Perhaps I came at a bad time, but I had a lot of trouble here. Seemed very understaffed, as all the registers were labeled as self-checkout except for one. I am new to the area and had questions (how to open a card, etc) but the customer assistance area was empty with what sounded like a phone on hold. The self checkout was one of the better ones I had seen, but it was frustrating to not be able to use any coupons since I couldn’t open an account.

The store is clean and organized; however, the staff were completely rude. The milk I picked up from the shelf was leaking and when I told them they acted like it was my fault. The cashier did not give me my bonus card deals and argued that he did. I checked my receipt and nothing was applied. There are 2 other grocery stores within a 3 mile distance so I won't be going back to this one.
