Acme is never the first pick of the grocery store options for me.Acme is always on the higher price line and the stores are always older and dirtier. This location is no exception. It's also poorly staffed, I think I saw 3 employees while I was there with 1 open lane.

Was just in this store 15 minutes ago to get some deli items. The deli clerk behind the counter (tall guy) was washing a large tray in the sink and saw me standing there and didn’t even acknowledge me. He saw me and completely ignored me for almost 10 minutes. Finally left and asked for a manager up front. I was told there was no manager onsite and received no help. Awful service. Will not be back- rudeness is intolerable.

This is a last-resort grocery shopping destination. The prices are high, the store is old, smelly, and dirty, and they charge you for grocery bags (which don't even have handles). I could go on even further, but it's not worth my time.

Went here to buy baby formula and was accosted at the door by two men inside begging for donations for a food bank. How tone deaf! We're all suffering with massive inflation, barely scraping by, and Acme has the AUDACTIY to allow 2 people at both entrances posted up trying to guilt you for donations. One man has the nerve to try to cut me off so I couldn't walk farther into the store. Horrifying. Never again.

I'm disappointed with ACME – it's short on staff, not well-kept, and quite pricey. They hide the affordable items, making you spend more. My dad, found a turkey online for around $30 instead of the in-store $50. We won't be returning; it just doesn't feel welcoming.

Is there a reason this store smells like bathroom that has not been cleaned for years? When I go in, I have to hold my breath just to shop. The stench is unbearable.This store needs a makeover. Everything looks out of date.

Price's are outrageous and be smart and being your own reusable bags they charge for paper bags. Also make sure you have your ID with you for any alcohol purchases. Customer service is friendly and they do have public restroom

Stopped at this market today for travel snacks. This store appears to be part of the Albertsons chain. My Von's rewards card worked in this Acme store. The store appears clean and well stocked at a cursory glance. Wasn't busy, so I was in and out fairly quick. When I am back in this area and I need groceries, I will probably use this store.

Matt in the meat department is wonderful! I needed to order a large kosher turkey for Thanksgiving and he made the process so easy. He followed through on all of his promises, phone calls and emails. Matt is reliable and is an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thank you Matt for making my family Thanksgiving delicious!!

My wife went to purchase a product on sale but did have the app on her phone. I have the app but was at work. You need to spend 25,00 and she spent 56.00. At checkout she asked if she put my phone number in could she get it as is was a gift for me and was told no. So when I got home I called to ask if I brought the receipt out could we get the prime rib for the price of 4.99 a pound and was told in a very nasty way NO because she said she waited at customer service for over five minutes then left, the rep said she was there from eight am and did not leave so my wife is lying so the result is that after shopping there for over 40 years good bye to the Acme.

When I have to talk over the ear buds to tell my order to the young man cutting my lunch meat, when I see a young woman cashier on her phone while an elderly woman is unloading her cart, when acme store only has 1 cashier on duty, when the steaks and London broil is cheaper at costco, it's time to stop shopping at the overpricedStore.

Absolutely horrible alcohol policy. State law requires one form of acceptable identification, this store requires TWO with BOTH photo ID and birth date. Insane that they think people walk around with their birth certificates and passports. Also pathetic and laughable that I can walk down the street to the wine and spirits and they only require 1. Seems ACME has a false sense of power. Have fun with your alcohol sales plummeting.

The prices are higher than their competitors, but they often have an item or two that the competing stores are out of. It makes sense that the place with the higher prices will have more stock remaining of desirable items, so I go to Acme last and pick up a few things that I couldn't get at the other stores.

Clean store but the layout seems a little odd to me. Beer and wine section is large and the frozen section cuts the aisles in half. Relatively clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Carpet cleaners are cheaper than Giant, and their meat sales are unmatched.

The cashier refused to scan my ID when buying alcohol, and accused me of using a fake ID. I clearly had a state issued driver license and the cashier refused to serve me, she clearly would have known if she just scanned my license. I will not be coming back and giving my business to ACME.

I used to steer clear of this Acme because the prices were highest across the board. Even though its the closest supermarket to me. But I did the occassional grab n go if I was in the shopping center. And ever since I downloaded the app it offers me personalized pricing on some items that is very competitive. Its a loss-leader strategy, but it worked.Its a nice store. Always clean and bright. They stock while closed. Unlike shoprite that has a pallet obstacle course in the evening. If money was no object it would be my goto. But in late 2022 $ dont go as far. So splitting my shopping between acme and shoprite (3 minutes away) makes sense.

I love Acme's bakery and produce. I would shop here more often (than a rare stop) IF more of their prices were lower. Sales are good though. For the items I buy regularly, there's no sense in paying more than a competitor.

Couldn't find where they hide the hand held shopping baskets. But that did not matter their prices were higher then Giant and Shop Rite so I left without buying any thing.

I’ve been a patron of this store for years, but more out convenience than anything else. Usually the employees are about average as far as being helpful and polite, however one employee in particular by the name of Betty or Betsy is particularly rude. If you ask her where something is she sighs and rolls her eyes every time without fail, then gives the worst directions possible. One time she clearly had no idea where the item I was asking about was located and was Clearly annoyed that I had the gall to ask. Worst of all, she hovers over anyone that looks “different” during check out as if she is stopping some kind of high level heist. If you have tattoos or look unconventional, be aware, she will follow and make you feel uncomfortable.She’s the only employee I’ve ever seen actually stand there and go through a customer’s receipt item by item after purchase. I don’t think I will go back after my most recent experience. Luckily West Chester had no shortage of grocery store options.

The store is good, except for one area, the deli/meat section. There is one man who wears black and acts like he can’t hear you. I have walked in front of him asking for assistance and he continues to ignore me and others as well. I thought he was deaf until I asked another employee and I mentioned that there are more food stores that are more willing to assist with any help then ACME. So my advice, go to another store, you will actually get someone that actually cares. Especially in the meat and deli section.

I have personal issues regarding sapphire. I had no option but to go through her checkout as I burned myself and needed bandages and was getting alcohol at the same store for convenience and her lane was the only one open. However, she felt necessary to get another employee to watch over the transaction which is fine- however, her using the words “I’ll explain why I need you here in a little” was not fine. It’s been discussed that she’s unable to bring up the incident with other employees but she chose to do so. I was already uncomfortable enough going through her check out and she made it worse by vocalizing our mutual unliking towards one another. Your employees should know how to separate personal lives from professional lives and if they can’t they should not have the opportunity to work and make others who can uncomfortable

So I went to the pharmacy at Acme's west Chester location. The experience I had was horrific. The pharmacist was extremely rude and unprofessional. I gave the pharmacist my script. He said he needs to speak to doctor before filling it. Which is normal. The doctor was taking a while to get back to him. So he handed me my "script " back. I drive home only to realize he gave me a copy of the script, not the original. So I had to drive all the way back. When I got there I told him it was a copy. He continued to say "thats what you gave me" it was obvious it was a copy of my script. I asked him to please check the printer. He refused to even look. Amd still continued to shout that's what you gave me. So I proceeded to leave the store, in tears, knowing no other pharmacy would accept a copy. I noticed his handwriting of my address was a copy not ink. When I showed him that, he then went to copier and held up my original script. I said now that is the original script I gave you. Even after he found my script, he still said that's what you gave me. He never apologized for being so rude and causing me stress. I suffer chronic pain and needed the medicatn. If I didn't go back, I wouldn't of been able to get my medication refilled. Horrible pharmacist

Very clean and organized store. Makes shopping easy! In addition, associates are very friendly and this grocery store has a great beer and wine selection. Self checkout makes it easy to pop in and out when you are only shopping for a few items.

Waited at the bakery for 20 minutes while the employee took a break. Poor management didn’t get anyone to help us when we told them no one was there. So maybe your district manager will see this.

My wife & I stopped by ACME later in the evening as it's much easier to either "get in & get out" or to take a slower pace & have a conversation while looking at alternative products &/or brands. We both have health issues to consider besides getting older, so we try to set some specific parameters for what we're looking for in new foods in particular. Although ACME tends to be higher in price on most of the items we are currently buying at our local Super Walmart, we still find some values & a different selection of items allowing us to try new things!This store is always clean & the employees ha e always been courteous & very helpful. It is close to my wife's job, so when I take her to work a few days a week, it's convenient to do our "slow exploration"!
