This is located in a small strip mall closer to Pottstown pike in Chester springs, plenty of parking that I'd shared. The exterior is well lit, and the shop is easy to locate. I shop here for their veggies as they always carry it fresh and prices are reasonable. The bakery section is okay, not huge like other stores. The ready to eat food section has a large selection, especially fried chicken on Mondays, which are great here. They do carry other beverages to buy with an ID and have a good collection. They do carry seasonal items for spring, summer, and even holiday season. The daily section is the breads, the usual groceries, and everything is sufficient enough to complete your grocery shopping in one place. The stuff is generally courteous, and the service is definitely on par with other grocery stores.

Great selection, clean, friendly staff. I really use this place often but they rearrange the store from time to time which sometimes adds time to my shopping trips. Conveniently located. On the pricey side relative to some other markets. GREAT BAKERY! Yum.

Living in the area, this is my go-to store. Its local corporate and they really do try to focus on buying local produce when available. Selection is usually outstanding and the staff, when needed, are very friendly. Quality items at a good price. This is my #1 hometown grocery stroe.

A good grocery store.Great deli, bakery and produce departments. They recently began offering beer and wine. Checkout lanes are quick and lines are short.I have had some issues with expired products on the shelf. There are often no staff to bag your items.update 11/30/23 - they are still selling groceries here! There have been recent renovations and the store looks great.

I'm editing an old one star review because over the last few years, I've seen the quality and freshness of the food here increase significantly. It's resulted in a much more pleasant and trustworthy shopping experience, so I wanted to do right by the store and update to reflect their improvements.

Acme service has gone south... They force you to go into the self service counters and even if you go to a counter with personnel they generally expect you to do it as well or reluctantly help to bag. The personnel I encountered yesterday said he cannot bag as he ran out of plastic bags on his side of the counter so he left me to bag it. He then said he'll get some plastic bag at the other counter and got it but didn't even attempt to help bag. Overall service laziness and expecting customers to do their job shouldn't be the norm.

Tried to buy fresh seafood tonight. While waiting for someone to help (several minutes ignored) looked down to see this disgusting mess! Not even on ice!

Acme carries fresh produce, and a delicious deli & bakery. Years of birthday cakes with non dairy whipped topping- our ultimate favorite! There are many weekly sales. I stop in for items once or twice monthly, but I find general prices high... too high for my budget to do a full weekly shopping.

This is one of the better ACME locations, They have recently renovated it and it's very nice especially the meat and vegetable departments.... would highly recommend this location for anybody wanting a "go to" grocery store.

I called over the phone to bakery for a watermelon cake for my 4 year olds birthday. I told them whatever they thought looked best. It turned out so amazing everyone loved it and it tasted amazing! Thank you so much!

I was recently there and lost my wallet in the parking lot. After trying to look for it in my car for 20 mins I called the store and the said one of the employees bringing the in the carts found it and turned it in cash and all. I'm very thankful to the employees for being so trustworthy I will shop there more often.🙏

I don't usually rate a grocery store, but something has to be said about this team. During the pandemic this place was the best run and best stocked store we visited (and we visited a few)! The place is just really well run, so well run that while other big name stores (both begin with a W) were shameful in comparison. I am not sure of the Manager's name but he/she is doing a great job and obviously has a top notch over the bar we are killin' it team! Shop here first, if they don't have it likely no one does.

This chester springs location is always clean although not always stocked. However that seems to be a norm everywhere. I always see a register operated during daytime hrs. W/ easy 2nd and 4 or 5 self checkouts.

It is very convenient location and reasonable prices. Recent days I see some of the dairy items are always out of stock. Not sure if the situation will improve in future. That's why I am giving 4 stars otherwise 5 stars.

Its a regular store with limited options on items, most of the stuff that I buy ( organic/gluten free/no artificial ingredients) aren't found here. So I avoid going here often unless need to get something quick. slightly expensive compared to wegmans or giant which are not too far. Good for a quick run, also because of the extended hours.

Visited 1/17/21, to compare prices versus Giant. Store is very clean, shelves were fully stocked. Aisles are quite narrow, and feel a little boxed in. Deals were ok, nothing worth changing stores over though. Overall, a good store and worth shopping at.

My first time at this location. I can't get over how clean and well stocked everything is. All of the employees were super nice and very helpful. I found it to be a bit pricey but all good quality food.

This is a nice clean store.Unfortunately, their prices are high compared to the other grocery stores. And the produce did not look as fresh.I will probably only go back if there is a good sale on products I need or if it is an emergency (since this is the closest grocery store to me). Otherwise, I will make to longer drive to other stores.

I guess this is being almost 40…writing reviews of grocery stores. However, of all of those in exton and downingtown, this acme is really my favorite. Others definitely have more organic stuff, or more premium food, but the staff here are amazing, the prices are good and the store is always clean. It won’t be the only grocery store I use, but I’ll enjoy shopping here.

Horrible Produce. Every single time it is always bad. Looks great in the store so I keep trying. No matter what it is, apples, bananas, strawberries, cucumbers, lettuce and so on. It must be where they get their deliveries and the temperature while it sits until it is put out. Giant, Wegmans, Whole Foods does not have this issue. Items are priced higher than other stores.

This was my first time shopping here, as we're new to the area and somehow settled on going to a nearby Giant. But this particular ACME has been nothing but a very pleasant surprise.They have a much larger selection of beers and wines, beautiful produce section and one thing that no Giant carries - Spectacular Ginger Ale (the best ginger ale there is!)Checkout was a breeze and parking lot is huge so you'll always find a spot close by...I'll be back!

It's never terribly crowded. People are a bit in too much of a hurry but that seems to be the norm a lot elsewhere as well I suppose.The staff is friendly for the most part.The produce needs work. Never lasts more than a couple days. However their deals on meats are really good.

I shopped here for the first time last week. I will never go back in that store for anything. Everything and I mean everything is at least $0.50 more then other grocery shopping stores. A liter of soda almost $3The only thing that I can say good about the store is that it was organized. As it should have been not many customers and a lot of employees standing around doing nothing. I will remain a Giant shopper and never stepping back in that store again or any other Acme stores.

I think I’ll be making the trip to Giant next time after getting blasted at by a cashier, Amy. She accused me of “cutting the line” after a gentleman allowed me to get in front of him since I only had 1 item to check-out. She was incredibly juvenile and wouldn’t proceed until I was at the very back of the line. If only Amy paid this much attention to ringing customers up quickly and efficiently, she wouldn’t have to take her frustration out on customers.

Really good selection of everything. Produce and baked goods are always very fresh. My only complaint is the lack of some basic produce/herbs and that they only carry ACME store brand tofu which is absolute garbage.

It's a fine grocery, I personally like the seafood section they have the best, there is a good wide variety of frozen and fresh seafood as well as the fresh meats department is also nice. They prices are slightly higher then I would prefer so mostly I go to Walmart and the same products for less but if I'm in the mood for some seafood or fresh meats I go here for that.
