This is a 1 star for petco as a whole, and has nothing to do with the staff. The staff here are awesome.Fish are infested with ich. I know its not any of the employees faults. I did some digging around the internet and learned petco does not have any fish quarantine procedures and petco staff are not aloud to medicate fish.If you plan on buying fish from petco or any corporate owned petstore, be sure you have a quarantine tank set up, know how to run a quarantine tank, know how to diagnose fish, and know how to medicate fish. If not, youre going to run into this problem with every single fish you buy. Nobody in this hobby wants to buy dieing fish.

I’ve been going here for training with Silas. I’ve been very pleased. I get exactly what I need to help my dog and Silas is very professional. They have been flexible when I need to adjust my appointment.I’ve also had my dog groomed here. And although the haircut didn’t quite turn out like I wanted, that’s my fault I probably told them to cut it shorter than I really wanted. However, my dog looked pretty good, and he was not traumatized in the least, he loves to go there and the staff at the grooming center are very kind.

The Workers here are Amazing They actually care about the animals. We walked in the store at 730 on a Friday night with intentions of buying our first bird. All of the workers were friendly and helpful as well as knowledgeable They even stayed after closing to help us out with our newest member of our Family A Green Cheek Conure named CASH If you have thoughts of getting a pet Go here first You won't be disappointed!!

Great store. The only thing that could make it better is employees. Wow... There is 1 in there that has to hold conversation with you. Normally it is okay. But sometimes I do not want it to take 45 mins to get crickets.

Went to the Chambersburg store and purchased over $150 worth of items and was told that I had to pay 10 cents for a bag. Seriously?? I was told it was a corporate policy and that they had to follow. Well, if they can't provide me with a bag after spending that kind of money then I no longer will shop at Petco!! I'll shop at Petsmart and Chewy.

I've been taking my bernese mt dog for grooming every 5 wks...typically cost me 130-150.00..today I go pu up my dog and they try and spring a bill for 202.00 because "corporate " says the groomer isn't doing enough dogs! I said well you cannot spring a 200.00 bill on me without discussing it with me and expect me to pay it....I refuse..I paid $156.00...this evening I get several text canceling all of my pets appts for the rest of the year

I would have only scored the store at a 7 usually but I love your new aquatic associate George. He was engaging and helped me pick out and buy over 10 fish. He was informative about every fish I asked about. He made sure to ask questions regarding my current tank setups to ensure I bought the right fish. He's an amazing addition!

We absolutely love Petco! We just started shopping here recently. We always went to Petsmart before because we honestly forgot that we even had a Petco here. The staff is SO helpful! We just started with a fish tank about a month ago, and everyone has been wonderful with all of our questions and visits. We also have a kitty, and I will be shopping more often for him at Petco as well. I really love the Vital Care program, and I plan to enroll our cat and our fish.

We had our dogs haircut and they look way better than last time we were there. The staff is very friendly and courteous.Again we go there because they work with our schedules. They do, do a good job on the haircut, but could use more time on the nails. Otherwise good job. 👍

Great selection of dog and cat items priced even less than we can get them from on chewy. Very knowledgeable staff who are eager to help. We purchased puppy classes and were so happy with Ariel that we continued the training program afterwards for several more months. Store is always clean too.

I took my small breed dog into petco for a haircut and the halloween package they offered. I walked out paying $90 which was a little confusing to me and I had to bring him back the next day so that they could finish the nail trimming service and to also fix his haircut since he did not look any different. I wanted his feathered facial hair to be cut shorter since he is a long-haired puppy. When I picked him up his haircut was way better and then I soon realized when I got come that they cut all of his whiskers off. I travel with my puppy in the car often and he can barely keep himself up and ended up throwing up everywhere, I believe, due to motion sickness from not having any whiskers. I’m a little displeased because of the price I paid.

I always went to Petco for my fish tank hobbie. They have a great employee ( Dustin) that is a wealth of knowledge about fish tanks, so thank you Dustin for being great!However the manager is useless, I have spent hundreds at that location just in fish aquarium up keep and fish. I BOUGHT 100 feeder fish.( rosey red minnows). I keep my tanks in perfect condition for temperatures and chemical levels thanks to Dustin. So I bought 100 feeders from them and over 75 died in this batch. Due to my work schedule I couldn't make it in right away. All I asked for in return for my very bad purchase was a discount on cheap fish to breed on my own. The bearded manager refused to help out and proclaimed that my water temp or nitrate level must be off. So instead of keeping a loyal customer, he showed me a program to spend more money and refused to work with me. I will never spend money there again!!! I advise people talk to Dustin about fish tank upkeep and go elsewhere to buy fish or feeders. I understand unhappy customer reviews, but this is legitimate. So now I sing from the hill tops to NOT go to petco for aquarium needs, but to talk to Dustin for advice. Good luck to anyone that has a serious hobby in freshwater aquariums. Dustin will steer you right. The short bearded man will not.

Very neat and clean store with a good selection of items. The little furry friends they sell always have fairly clean cages and appear to be in good health.One visit left me a little annoyed when I went to checkout and the cashier had to finish her text before helping me. She obviously had no interest in actually working, but that doesn't reflect on the entire staff as other have been just fine.

Won't lie the people and the store were great but man did my dog get an awful cut 😕 just wish they would have taken more time to make sure things were good and not rush it unfortunately won't be bringing my dog back good learning experience
