The past few times this year I have been pleasantly surprised - for years I’ve had to paw through lumber to find decent boards etc….today was great they must have had a good shipment. The past few times I have had people offer to help me or ask if I found everything-before during visits this was not the case. Did not give four stars because I still have issues with online saying stuff is there and it is not, or that they don’t carry it at all, but noticeable improvement in customer service and at least the wood inventory-

Hello I have shopped this store for about 20 years and I have been seeing a steady decline of this store, due to poor staff that have no ambition to help customers. See them standing around the store talking to each other. Products are in disarray on shelves, not stocked in the right spot, damaged stock leaking stuff on the floors, I went to pick up a bag of quikrete and it poured onto my shoes really!!! . Staff that work I the PRO center can care less about your needs. I was completely ignored by staff , I wanted to ask a question. They acted like I wasn't there. One hide behind her computer screen. I would not recommend this store for anything. I would shop another store or better yet go to HOME DEPOT. Shoppers BEWARE thanks.

Edit as of June 14: I came by for some fertilizer, and was pleasantly surprised. All the plants looked lush & healthy. I guess they got someone more diligent to look after them.~~~~~~~I came to this location after a bad experience at one in Hagerstown. The price of 4 for $10 is pretty good for starter plants. So I had to give it another try.In the end, I found 4 plants, but it wasn't easy. The sale rack was badly picked over. Only about half of it was stocked. The plants they did have were wilted & halfway dead.I told the cashier they needed water. She said she'd told the person responsible a couple days ago. The response was "I just watered them on Wednesday!"Note to Genius: plants need water more than once a week. This person's supervisor needs to get on the stick, too. Evidently neither of them could be arsed to take a look at the plants once in awhile.Terrible, both in terms of plant care & customer service. They only kept one star for actually honoring the sale price. That puts them ahead of their counterpart down the road.

23Aug.2022 Gregg was super helpful today. He left his space to help me loads bags of rocks and tons of fire starter logs on my cart and show me where other items where in the well organized store. Professional and personable and nice. Amazing shopping experience!!

They have quality mini fridges. One I still have after 10+ years and the other I just bought and I can barely tell the difference. They lack a little variety in what you can choose from, but this makes up for the combination of quality & cheap price you get.

I purchased a washer and new hoses for delivery. I went to my local store and made the purchase. When I was asked what time frame I wanted for delivery I was given 2 options, 8a to 12p or 12p to 4p. I chose 8a to 12p. Then the day before the delivery I got a text saying they would be there 2p to 6p. I called the store to see why they had me for that time frame. The employee who answered the phone told me those 2 choices I was given weren't really a choice, just a preference and it comes when they say. That's fine I understand schedules change. But people work and take time off for these deliveries, maybe the employees need to mention that when they offer time frames or better yet don't offer the choice! Then when the washer was delivered they didn't bring the hoses I paid for. So today I went to my local store to see what they were going to do and I was told that someone would contact me within 24hrs about the hoses and that they didn't know how long it would take to get them. I don't understand why the local store where I purchase the washer from couldn't handle this? They had over 100 in stock.The employees acted like they were bothered and didnt know anything. Terrible customer service!

I tried to do store pick up on solar eclipse glasses got the email saying that my was order was ready I go in yo get it and nobody could find it wait like 15 minutes for them to tell me they don't have and they could refund me my money everywhere is now sold out of them then they tell me there sorry. That don't help my kids that I got them for or my time and gas that I wasted.

We received our granite counters from here. They set it up, set up the contracting, delivered the materials, and the contractor did a good job. The countertops are a few years old now and are as beautiful now as they were the day they were put in. We shop here frequently and usually go for various sales and items needed when doing our do it yourself projects. We go for everything from appliances, gardening, installs, and more. We haven't been disappointed yet and we hope we don't run into any issues in the future either.We travel to Chambersburg for items to fix up the house and rely on Lowes to have things in stock. They typically do and we are able to conveniently obtain what we need when we need it.The parking lot is simple, and has plenty of spaces. They have accessible parking as well as veteran parking. There is a light to turn into the parking lot, where sometimes there is congestion.They have nice, kind, and genuine employees who when I needed help were there to lend a hand and their own expertise.We have used their pick up service before as well and it came in handy a few times. They have nice lockers in the front for those picking up small items and a convenient customer service area to the left when entering.

Was in to take advantage of the mulch special and was also going to purchase a few ferns. Sales staff to me to wait until Thursday and ferns would be on sale. Saved me over $60.00 with that tip.Just in to pay my bill. The lady at the service desk was smiling, while I was approaching the area. Had my transaction completed quickly and accurately. Stopped in on my way to work. Great customer service as always.Stopped in to get a few needed items. Looked online first to find location in store to make my trip faster. Everything was exactly where it was to be. Great time savor. Also, took advantage if the current promo offer.Stopped in today to pick up a few items I needed to finish a project. Had difficulty finding one item, but saw a Order Picker and he directed me in the right direction. **MY LAST VISIT I ASKED FOR ASSISTANCE LOCATING AN ITEM I SAW ONLINE WHERE I COULD FIND IT IN THE STORE AND THE GUY (Aaron) GOT SMART AND TOLD ME MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT ONLINE.

Had a great experience when I went in to buy 8 wood clamps. Web site said they had 46 in stock, but only 5 were out in store. A gentleman named Amos was very nice and went right to work to locate the additional items. Great Customer service!

I was delivered a faulty range.It has taken three days now to get the new one yet they have already picked up the damaged one. It seems like the stores and the warehouse are not even in the same company. I guess we will live off microwave, meals and fast food until we can cook……

I was the night manager during the pandemic. Lowes suspended the aisle blocking because of the pandemic. They said we are a family! Hang with lowes during this difficult time and we will take care of you. A skid of 5 gallon paint cans fell 20 feet and knocked me out. That was the second injury In 7 days. The first was a fireplace unsafe in trailer. 5 years later and I'm still not being helped. Sedgwick is their company. I can't sue, they were supposed to pay medical and lost wages. I had to get welfare to get by. I was making 60k, Mercedes-benz, own apartment. The state is paying for my injury. THANKS LOWES!!

Beware. Had a fence built by Elliot Fence through Lowes. Terrible, shoddy quality gates (rough splintered edges, uneven, unleveled), left huge gaps at bottom of the fence in many places (hauled away all dirt from post digging), left materials in our yard including unused concrete to harden in our front yard. Lowes rep never answers calls and rarely returns calls/messages. Finally scheduled a quote for another project and got him to see the problems which he heartily agreed needed fixed. We were promised a new contractor to correct issues. Same contractor (Elliot) came out and was defensive and confrontational.

Purchased a product to be picked up at store went to get and they didn't have it . THEY made me stand there for an hour. They refunded me and took me I would have to buy again at a lot higher price. No more lowes. Do not order anything for pickup.

This store gets my business due to its location, however I have not been disappointed with the service and selection as well. I was once again pleased with the service I received the other day at the paint deck, helpful knowledgeable staff. The store is usually we'll stocked and organized making it easy for quick shopping.Update 4-24-2024 all checkouts are changed to self checkout. This is extremely unhelpful and difficult to check out.

Had everything we needed. As new home owners, we didn't know anything going into a bathroom sink replacement. But with the help of YouTube and the very knowledgeable plumbing section employee, Steve, we were able to tackle the project without the need of a plumber! Definitely has our continued business for all of our new home repairs.

Convenient. This Lowe's is *perfectly situated* for tons of home owners and businesses to get what they need. It's not too far from 81 but is to the East of the highway. It is less crowded in this" Exif US81 East off of 81. It's just a large cohort of knowledge-based, shall we say, "those with a multitude of life experience? Also happy for the mix with many young and capable staff.

Great store I have been shopping there for a long time . it's one of my favorite stores . I love that we can take our pets in the store . today I even got to hold a skunk . wow this is awesome our Yorkie got a little jealous but Lowe's is awesome to allow this . Pet friendit store like Lowe's are my kind of stores .

Needed Fasteners for treks decking, ask associate for help. She said we must be out if they aren't over where I looked. Went to the app.... they had them in stock. Placed an order for pick up on the same day, but now I'll have to make another trip into Lowe's to get them. I wish the associate would have taken a little more initiative in helping me find them the first time.

Quality of products carried has gone downhill significantly, and the prices have gone up drastically. Stopped in to pick up a 3pk of mower blades for a lawn tractor. Priced at $75 + tax. Found the same ones on Amazon for $45. THIS is why brick and mortar is dying.

They are a business, so they want to make each square foot bring in as much money as possible.In doing so, they are cutting back on basic needs of a builder or home owner. They no longer stock the smaller less expensive parts, instead they use those square feet for larger more expensive products.I don't blame them but they put the small hardware stores out of business and now the basic parts are only available from Amazon.

We are there every week. We put up a deck, gazebo, patio, and an outside fire pit. Only wish they had a Lowe's in Shippensburg so we wouldn't have to travel the 30 min drive.

Lowes in Chambersburg Pa was a shopping dream come true. I am a retired Air Force Veteran and use Lowes Home Improvement exclusively as they give discounts to Veterans and always assist any time we have needs or questions regarding our homes. As we entered the contractor checkout area we saw a few associates standing nearby and as soon as we looked their way, they came forward to us and asked if they could be of assistance. This is a rare event in any store except Lowes. We asked if we could get help to pull a load of a few sheets of drywall and pegboard to be loaded into our trailer. We were directed to the contractor desk where the assistant store manager “Dan” asked what we wanted. We told him the products 5 sheets drywall, 3 sheets of pegboard, 2 insulation bundles, 2 cans spray foam and 1 pound of drywall screws and he processed our order and we paid using my military discount. He said “wait a few minutes and we will get this pulled for you”. A few minutes later he returned with everything we ordered and said if we could pull our trailer over by the exit door they would load the drywall that was by the contractor door. We did that and they quickly loaded it and we were on our way. They were all so friendly and accommodating I think we smiled all the way home. From the time driving into the parking lot and driving away, we were there only 15 minutes. Please let the staff and employees know that what they do for the customers is greatly appreciated and we had to extend our heartfelt Thank You!
