When we visited Goodwill Thrift Store there were very limited things on shelves. You can see the pictures yourself, but whatever was there, prices were very moderate.The store itself is big.Plenty of free parking space.Chambersburg, Pennsylvania

Great deals on men's & women's clothes. Extra discounts for military families. Fun, helpful staff. Wide selection, laid out in a nice order, so it's easier to find things. It's all good. Here's to a great day!

This was a horribly horrific experience at this location for me involving two employees. I overheard them laughing and joking about one of them being so high while working this particular day I was in the store. I was very offended and uncomfortable immediately. As I continued to shop one of them walked over as I had my back turned and reached into my buggy attempting to touch my purse. I have no clue what she was thinking but I yelled at her in shock as she was appologetically startled from being caught. All at the same time the opposite employee tried to overturn the situation into a joking matter or prank? I then wanted to check out and while getting my items together I was told by same employees they weren't allowed to sell me any items at this time??? There was no excuse for this situation and no manager in site to speak too. I turned, walking out horrified embarrassed an in tears. I made a few phone calls & currently waiting to hear from the head office. I will never shop here again.

Prices are insane. 5 dollars for a ratty child's t shirt? 12 dollars for a womans pair of work out shorts? Ugh. It's in poor taste and frankly offensive. Not worth stopping to look.

Prices are definitely much higher than other thrift stores in the area. I finally found a work shirt I liked and fit, but they wouldn't sell it to me because it didn't have a tag. I get the policy is probably to discourage people from taking tags off to try and get a better deal, but they couldn't reprice it for me? Staff was nice, but I thought it was disappointing.

All clothing is individually priced. Used Walmart tank tops are not worth $10. Every single item of clothing / shoes I picked up seemed to be ridiculously marked up. Definitely one of the priciest Goodwills I've ever visited. Slim selection on everything else. Never seen a goodwill this bare before.

Overly expensive and most of everything that's given to goodwill is free, so tell me how are you selling these items so costly? Poor people like me and others cannot afford to shop goodwill. Please tell, do you care about the less fortunate? No. People stop shopping there you're not benefiting anything shopping. And don't send any message with any bad ideas to me.

Great selection and they keep the store tidy. Always new stuff. Some items simply shouldn't be up for sale, and some prices are ridiculous, but mostly prices are good.07/06/21 UPDATEIt's been awhile since my review, so here's an update. Still a great store. They have wonderful organization to help narrow down the shopping. Clothes are by size and then by color. Shoes are by color, and housewares are too.Always check the clothes for deep stains, rips, tears, and missing buttons. They have so much to sort through that it's easy to miss small damages. Give it a thorough look before purchasing.Also, all Goodwills got rid off bags, so bring your own or purchase a reusable one there. I like that, cuts costs and cuts waste. Just have to remember my bag!Plenty of fitting rooms to try on clothes. Restroom in the back of the store for customers. Staff is typically friendly.Check their Facebook page before bringing donations. They've been overwhelmed with donations since Covid, and sometimes turn you away if they can't accept any. They're pretty good about posting that on FB and when they'll be accepting them again.06/28/2022 updateNot much has changed except the shoes are now scattered around the clothing area (above the racks) and purses are near the front of the store. I think they were trying to keep the checkout area less congested, which has worked. I saw some of the items I donated up for sale, so I can confirm donations are used!10/012023 UpdatePrices have gone up. A bit, just like everywhere. But they seem to tailor prices to the brand an item condition. A new item with original tags will be a little more than similar. That's fair. Purse and shoe prices are often ridiculous. A very worn pair of no name shoes should not be $10. They need to evaluate those. Same with some of the home goods items, but some are a great deal. It's hit or miss with pricing.

The prices are good. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The store is kept very clean and tidy. The selection is normally very good. It is more then what you would expect out of a thrift store. This time it was same as usual. The people were nice and friendly. The store was clean.

Hmmm. Seems like someone down there has never ever gotten to work late at the factory. I have found the Managers/Staff @ this store to be some of the nicest people I've ever met. They're friendly, professional, hard working & have a talent for working with "difficult" customers. Even those who are delayed a bit while doing the rest of their Christmas shopping or buying that day' eBay postings. Bless her heart.

I have found so much great stuff here. I've found everything from nightgowns, leather and jean jackets to really nice pitcure frames and decorations. Some people don't like buying used clothing, but that's fine with me because then their spending 30-80 for tops I then get at goodwill from 5-12 each. Goodwill is more expensive then Act II amazingly, but it benefits the disabled and people in need, plus is still a while lot less then buying new. I have actually been amazed with some of the grear things I've found at goodwill. Plus the variety of items is unbeatable in stores. Only problem is that you have to be willing to take the time and look. I needed about 30 pitcure frames, and I wanted nice wooden ones. I also wanted all different frames. I'm going to paint them all to match as a way to display family photos, but in an artistic and creative way in my stairwell. I would of spend hundreds buying those frames new, but buying them all here I'm still under 100.00 for almost 30 frames from large to small. So before you buy that 50.00 grey sweater, check here first. You may find one you like just as much or more for much less.

I was highly disgusting today while here. An announcement was made at 4:45pm that they would be closing at 5pm. So I did a quick walk through the store and was waiting on my family to finish looking when another couple and us were told and I quote "You need to get out". We were all stunned for a second and replyed with a what only to be told a second time to " Get off the sale floor". This was all done by an employee at exactly 4:48pm. No more then three minutes after the first announcement was made. I returned my purchases to the racks respectively and will probably not be back for quite a while, if ever.

The best thing about Goodwill at this location is the ease and accessibility of the donation process. I always know that whatever I have can easily be placed in the "clothing" box or the "household wares" box. Generally, some pretty friendly folks are in the back there to help if you have any questions.Inside the store is pretty great too.

The ladies' department is well stocked and divided into sizes/racks. However, there is a small selection for men, though it is neat. The children's clothing is okay. The home department is divided by color rather than similar items, and there's a fair amount of books.

If you're a thrift store enthusiast like me, then you know finding a new store to check out is like hitting the jackpot!This Goodwill is pretty much same layout as every other one, not the best organization for sizes. Always try on before buying. The person tagging clothes might think a "small" is a size 6 when the person buying thinks it's a size 2. Would love to see better consistency for labeling sizes!

my mother and I were treated very poorly. my mom only had one mask on her and gave it to me. then the cashier or whoever she was YELLED across the ENTIRE store “ma’am i’m not kidding if you don’t put a mask on you need to get out” MY MOTHER DID NOT HAVE ANOTHER MASK IN OUR CAR OR PURSES!! she could’ve politely offered her one! pathetic!

Pretty much clean. Bathrooms needed some attention. I found Price's a little high.When a line started to frome, no second cashier to help so line got long. Im not waiting 5 mins for a dollar hand towel.

I do not really understand the concept of the color organizing. To me that seems a little to hetic. If in looking for an item. I have to dig in between all kinds of random things. Over all clean. Am not a big fan of the color sorting.

That's all they get when the assistant manager cant make it to work on time. 9:15am and suppose to open at 9. Employees standing out in freezing cold temps. Ok he showed up about 9:18 and left old people in wheelchairs sit outside in the cold instead of letting them in the store. You have a lot of unhappy customers today.

Large, clean store with nice, easy to identify sections for men's, children's, women's and etcetera. Staff we're friendly and helpful. Will definitely hit this one up again, if in area. Thanks!

The young women working in the good will store were very rude..younger girl thin with brown hair was cursing out loud..it was not the first time ive seen this...also its Good Will.. $15.50 for a pak of bath towels? $3.35 for 4t used shirt?I am a grandma trying to assist my grandkids...people donate this stuff!Why so expensive?
