Clean store, nice employees; one gentleman particularly helpful, went out of his way to help me find something which was a surprising experience simply based on dollar general experiences prior- the store was daily typical of a dollar general, but nice and helpful employees with a smile and a “have a good day” will keep us coming back for last minute milk and bread

I can not tell you how wonderful the employees of this store on ,Rt.997 in Chambersburg are....they go out of their way for you, are so friendly...and Lyndie...the manager wAs actually worried about me when I didn't come in all week...as I am handicapped....this team you have finally put in this store ROCKS ...keep them happy so they STAY... As Dollar general go, this one is the best one I've been in. The staff is friendly, the prices are fair, and it's clean. Not everything is strewn about like the older dollar stores I've visited. And there's a certain sense of prestige when shopping now. Excellent choice! Great parking lot too.

I have experienced poor and snippy attitudes from employees on multiple different visits. There are constantly items just thrown randomly onto shelves when employees can't figure out where they go. As a customer, I shouldn't have to be told by an employee to read the price tag on the shelf to make sure the item is in the correct spot before assuming that's the price.

This is a fairly new location opened in 2017. While the staff is friendly, the store is always a mess. Boxes and items piled in the aisles make it annoying to shop. And not just one time or one aisle, every time and 1/4 to 1/2 of the aisles. Did they not incorporate storage in the back of this store?It's great to stop in on my way to or from work if I need something quick, so the convenience factor for me is great. I hope they work through the crowded aisle issues soon because it's frustrating.

My husband and I used to enjoy shopping at this store. But with the recent take over with new staff and management it SUCKS!! We stopped in on Saturday December 29th and the girls that were working were not pleasant at all. One girl was slouched over a cart while stocking shelves like she had a hangover. Neither employee acknowledged us ,very rude. When Connie and Tracy were there it was a great store to shop at. They always greeted us with a smile, and acknowledged us as soon as we walked in. This was our go to store but I'm sad to say not so much anymore! Signed a very upset ex customer.

I was SOO happy to find this Dollar General. I had gone to McDonald's down the street, sat through about 3 red lights that never turned green for me to exit. So I had to take a right and as I did so my coffee spilled all over the floor. So easy to get into the big parking lot at Dollar General and a roll of paper towels was little more than a buck. Yeay! Brightened my mood before I got back on the freeway.

I've always been a fan of the store, but this location has by far the best employees. Even with turnover, they pick good people. Quick and convenient.

Store can get a little crowded. Always seems like they are stocking shelfs so you have to watch out for their carts. But they generally have what I need.
