My two daughters and I visited this shelter and were greeting kindly . My daughters got two cats from this shelter; both in good condition with updated vaccines. The building was clean and animals were well kept with food and clean accomodations ! We enjoy seeing what they have to offer from time to time.

The staff is very nice, and dog savvy. They were able to give me valuable behavioral traits that they observed in the stray dog I was asking about. The staff is organized, prompt, and professional. I highly recommend this shelter to anyone looking to adopt a pet.

We recently were approved to adopt three bonded kittens and have had them a week and a half. They are such a joy for us to have living with us!The adoption process was thorough and CVAS takes great care to match you with the animals. They are compassionate and caring and do a great job! Adopted a sweet little puppy from CVAS on Saturday. We've made a couple trips and finally found the right fit. They take in a lot of animals that need a good home. Please adopt!2/11/24 - It's been 3 years and Hadley has been a great addition. CVAS adoption process was very straightforward and everyone was extremely nice. All of our questions were answered and we found the perfect family addition!!

Hoping CVAS can help me. I got my cat, Bella, from them when they were at their old location, off of I-81. My recollection is picking her up in late winter, early spring of 2003. I was driving my 91 LeBaron and she threw up on the way home. She was called Layla and was about 7 months old when I got her. My wife says we got her in 2007. If I'm correct ,then she's 21 years old.

My daughter had an interview here today, so I didn't go inside. The way she talked about it seemed to be very nice inside & had allot of cute animals to adopt.

It has been 3 years with our cat Halligen, who when we got him from Cumberland alley was named Mr. Man. He is a huge part of our family. We love him. He is our third child and my kids brother. Thank you Cumberland valley. I said it 3 years ago and I still hold to this, adopt your cat or dog from Cumberland valley. You won’t be disappointed.

So many beautiful, healthy, happy looking animals looking for forever homes. Wish I could have adopted several. Facility very clean and it is evident volunteers love what they do. Adoption paperwork pretty straight forward. Felines reaching through the cages wanted some human contact and a little ❤️. Hope this post generates some interest in this facility. They provide a much needed service. Getting stray or surrendered animals back into loving, safe homes.

If you go anywhere else you’ll be sorry we had a greyhound for 8 1/2 years. Only one Dr know about this breed. His name is Dr. penny he did surgery on our dog and her last months of her life. She was diagnosed with bone, cancer and staff that they have are wonderful, thanks again for your services in our community.

I recently had to surrender a beautiful, golden retriever/ lab mix puppy that I was fostering. This was very traumatic for me, but my dogs were just not handling it well. The staff at CVAS is amazing!! Not only did they put my mind at ease, but are confident the puppy will be adopted into a loving, forever home!..

They are amazing. The staff is so friendly and helpful. You can tell that they care about the animals and want to only find the right home for them. My husband and myself adopted our cat Mr. Man from there and we have never been happier. Our cat came home and has just settled into our lives and hearts from the first time we saw him. He is so sweet and so loving. My husband and I can tell that he was loved while with Cumberland Valley. We have had Mr. Man almost a year now and it feels like we have had him since he was a kitten. We can’t imagine our lives without him. Thank you Cumberland Valley for giving us our sweet and loving cat

We just adopted an adorable dog from here. Great place to get an animal. They are spaded/neutered and chipped. I would've rated it 5 stars but the lady that was in charge of the meet and great with my other animals treated me like I had never been around animals let alone know how to take care of them. She referred to it as a helicopter mom but it was way past that.

The young lady was very insensitive which weird since she seem very sensitive to the guy before and his kids. Hate say it's a race thing but I have never met her I just went sat to the side as my husband who is white filled out paperwork for adoption. She was very pleasant with him until she realize we were together. Then I knew it's a race thing. It's sad and unfortunate. All of sudden they didn't have dog available she would keep our application on file. She email wanted more info about our pet who had passed vet records why would you need that. Smh

Went there to adopt two kittens. Found two that my whole family liked put in an application. Got told the two kittens would be put on hold till our application would be approved,then 2 to 3 days later we went back in to deal with our other animals shot records that they needed to know an got told the two kittens we wanted got adopted. Also a couple of the staff seem like they don't want to be there.

The living conditions are great here for the animals and are well taken care of. A Particular staff member was very rude during our time of adoption but we did not let that get us down. We love our new pets!

These dogs r awesome. I want one to adopt and hope I hear soon. Don't want to wait for months. These baby's need loving homes now. Not later. I'm also a groomer and take care of my kids. Been to adoption agencies before and don't get it. These babies need homes and the staff doesn't comply in a timelyMatter and the dogs r left in cages for months until they decide what their doing. It's not fair. The staff has to get with the program and get these babies in the right homes. Very frustrating. That's why people go to breeders for their dogs. It's instantly done and happily ever after. Shelters need to comply with the same process.

They are absolutely wonderful about providing a safe, & loving opportunity for the darling little feral kitten I've been trying to save and find a home for its 2 months of life. My husband is allergic, so I couldn't give my home, only my heart, food, water, & outside shelter. I am a very happy person who CVAS is willingly helping Sparkle!

Call the shelter for help controlling a large growing cat problem. They did not even listen just kept saying we don't service your area. I live in Franklin County PA. When I called animal controll. It was the same place. They had no suggestions to help.. I called back later . Problem still growing. I left a message. No one called back. They charge $50 per cat to take them in. We are desperate

My kids got there cat from here. Everyone is friendly and the place is kept clean. The animals get a chance to be out of their cages from time to time, in a special room. There's hand sanitizer to use after touching each animal.

Oh one more thing - we all know it's friends & family padding these reviews. For every one star review there's 6-10 five star reviews, but without comments.
