I have a new rescue labradoodle who was in a kennel her entire life. She is extremely wary of everyone and everything. Best Friends staff and doctors were incredible. They took plenty of time and patience with her. I have had 2 other fur babies that went to Best Friends and the staff and doctors were great with them also! I highly recommend Best Friends Animal Hospital ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love this vet. Compared to so many vets offices in the tri-state, from Carlisle down to winchester, I've had vets offices and animal hospitals who have refused to help me when my dog was actively bleeding and dying, because I couldn't get approved for care credit, and they all turned me away...these vets ALL cared more about money than my best friend. (This office didn't resolve this issue, this was a few yrs ago, and she did die), however, I say this with reason...I was living in WV at that time, so this vet wasn't a close-by option to even try, not directly off 81, etc...but, I moved to Chambersburg, and had to find a vet. I came to best friends, id used them many, many years ago, and hoped they'd not be the way so many of these vets had become. They've been awesome...they're a little pricy, but not like these other ones, and the vets there DO try to keep the cost down and not oversell you a bunch of stuff your pet doesn't need. They're very kind, they have their waiting area set up to take pets back very quickly so there's not a pile of animals in the lobby, it's a great office all the way around. All the small things they do combine to make it a great place. Of all the ones in Franklin County, I don't think I'd ever go anywhere else...or trust anywhere else.

We took our 3 dogs for their yearly checkup and, as usual, the Dr. was incredibly thorough and happy to answer our questions. We won't leave BEST FRIENDS for our Best Friends unless we have to move!

I have had the opportunity to interact with the receptionists on 3 different occasions. The first 2 times, I felt a cold interaction w the office staff. My third interaction was better. The receptionist smiled as she greeted me and the one tech welcomed me and took me to an exam room. Our tech pleasantly took care of our pet's needs gently during the examination. She was exceptional.Before the 3rd visit, I was considering taking my pet to another vet, but since this 3rd visit, and seeing the gentle care given to my pet, I have decided to continue our business w Best Friends. Had I relied on my first impressions, I would have gone elsewhere.

Our little guy was having stomach issues due to eating a tasty sock! Best Friends fixed him right up and he was back to his normal self by the time we reached home. Love that we found a great place to take our fur baby that we can trust!

We love Dr. Jeannine and all of her staff! She has been so good with our dog. She is kind, thorough, understanding, always willing to explain and answer questions. We board our dog at the office when we aren't able to bring him with us on trips, and I feel so much better knowing he is in caring and competent hands.

I left my done at the boarding here and it was his first time away from us and he was happy and great when we picked him up. We also take our dog here for grooming and all his appointments. The people here remember us and don't get upset when our dog gets scared or nervous. They are very patient. I also take my guinea pigs here and they even remember their names. I highly recommend them!

My dog Jack was attacked by two dogs in the neighborhood. He was injured on his rear leg. I was able to get him in on an emergency appointment (I was already a client).The Dr and the techs were friendly and accomodating. They diagnosed my Jack and help me understand the treatment regime he needed. His is recovering nicely.As I live next door to Best Friends, is a great convenience. Their facility is top-notch compared to some. I will be bringing Jack back in for a neutering next month (poor little guy!) But I have complete confidence in Best Friends ability to do the best they can for Jack.

Amanda Abbott's review is true and SHE IS A CLIENT. She is my daughter and she took our family dog George to Best Friends Animal Hospital. I am not sure why they are claiming that she cannot be verified as a client. Also, I took George in to Best Friends as a new patient in 2020 when we adopted him. But they could not find his records in 2021. Not sure why. I had heard good things about Best Friends from other people and had high hopes but my poor dog didn't fair so well. My experience was not so good. They refused to fit him in even though he was in very serious condition, couldn't find his records, and misdiagnosed him. They also said they would call me with the results of a blood test they did on him, but they never called me. I had to call them back a few days later to get the results.

I love this best friends. They are Awesome!!! My little four pound chihuahua started limping bad. I called two vets I use and they didn’t have any appointments till the 11 days away. I didn’t know if it his leg could be broke, an hour infection, cancer... So I call best friends and they make a same day appointment and see my lil man. Turns out it was nothing serious but best friends helped a distraught mom gain back my sanity. Thank You and totally appreciate best friends! Bringing back my other fur kids because the staff hear is way more caring and knowledgeable than my past vet clinics. Recommend 100%, they ROCK!!!!!

We absolutely love the professionals at Best Friends, they love our fur babies almost as much as we do. They take their time to not only listen to you, but to also explain things clearly. I always leave their office knowing that my dogs are in the best care possible. Whether it's the receptionist, vet techs or vet themselves, they are all pleasant and professional. WORST PLACE EVER! I bring in my dog in because he has a cough. Did even look at him no chest X-ray they did nothing but gave him a small dose of a antibiotics and sent him home. In less then 48 hours I had to rush my dog at 1:00 am to the er vet to find out he has pneumonia and if he wasn’t admitted he wouldn’t make it through the night. Spend almost 3,000 dollars in vet bills. Called Best Friend back to explain what happened and tried to schedule a follow up visit soonest they could see him was 3 weeks even though I had a early appointment already scheduled for nail clipping but they said I couldn’t use that one due to the visit being for a different reason. Fast forward call them the other day at 8:00am as soon as they open to explain to them that the symptoms are back and there worst. They advertise they do emergency visits if you call between 8:00-8:15am. I call at 8:00 they refuse to see him then place me on hold for 20 min and then answer and say they are now full for the day. Take my dog back to the ER vet to find out the lower lobe of his lungs haven’t cleared of the pneumonia and he’s back in antibiotics. This whole process Best friends has been awful to deal with. Was even told by the ER vet that I needed to look for a vet that cares.

We first started using Best Friends is 2018 when we found a young kitten that was very sick on a holiday weekend. They worked him in and Dr Grove was amazing with him. Last year when the same cat started developing fevers of unknown origin they kept following up and working with us until he was fever free and feeling well again. Our other two cats have seen them for wellness and annual vaccinations and we've always been impressed with the care and attention to detail they take with them.
