The staff has been great - always friendly and excited to see Rose. I am very comfortable dropping her off knowing she will be cared for and have a good time!

We used the day camp here while exploring the Gettysburg Battlefield and our 2 labs love this place. The staff are friendly and helpful and the facilities are very nice! If you are in the area I highly recommend it.

I have had a wonderful relationship with Bark Central for years now. Both as an employee, and now a groomer located inside the building. Something that sticks out to me about Bark Central is how much they clean- more than any other kennel I have worked for. The play yards inside and out are cleaned thoroughly. My dog Vera has attended since she was 8 weeks old, she is now 5 and has wonderful social skills with all kinds of dogs. Now I have Sassy who is 6 months old, and very hard to tire out. When she goes to Bark Central, by the time we get home she’s ready to cuddle up on the couch with me. I always tell people that the same way we need socialization- dogs do too. Would recommend to anybody with a social dog!

Bark Central has been absolutely wonderful for my mini dachshund! He has made friends with the other little doggies and he gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot to drop him off for a day to play! The staff is always friendly and caring to my little buddy! He has even stayed several times for boarding and come back refreshed, happy and can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!

My dog has boarded and daycared at Bark Central once a year over the holidays when we visit family nearby. The staff is quick to respond and has gone above and beyond to accommodate us. One of the things I've really appreciated is the clear pricing, instructions, and vaccine requirements on the website. They've offered sweet holiday perks, like a special holiday meal or pictures; those perks make it easier to be away from our dog on the holiday. Our dog seems happy with the experience, from what we can tell.

Great friendly staff, good prices. Our Beagle puppy has never been around many other dogs and she is extremely shy with any dog bigger then her, and she is tiny lol. The staff here took the time to introduce her slowly to other calm dogs of various sizes to make her feel at ease! This made is as dog parents feel very confident in their love of the animals. She had a great weekend stay and we will definitely bring her back when we need a great place for her to hang out with other dogs. Thanks again to the wonderful staff here!

Absolutely lovely. Everyone who works here is so kind and down to earth. It's clear they all love dogs. I dropped my puppy off for her evaluation and she was so happy when I came to pick her up! They even remembered her by name when I came to drop her off for boarding! And she was so happy to see them! They are also very thorough about shot records, so you know your dog will be safe. There are also lots of extras you can get your dog. I dropped her off for 5 days and I got her doggie ice cream, a walk, one on one time and grooming services for every day. Over all I am very pleased with this place. There are not a lot of places I would trust with my baby, but I definitely recommend and trust this place!

We arrived in the Chambersburg area with our dog from out of state on a hot Sept day. We were in a panic, needing to get to the hospital for a family member, with no safe place to keep our dog. The idea of sitting in the car with him taking turns going in and out just wasn't gonna work. I contacted Bark Central after reading their reviews on line and they were fantastic. We arrived to find a very clean and pet friendly environment. The staff recognized my stress at leaving our dog along with our need to expedite the process and get to the hospital. They were very friendly, quickly completed the necessary paperwork, asked all the right questions to ensure our dog a productive stay, and then worked to calm my nerves. My dog had already took off to check the place out. When we arrived back to pick him up he seemed happy, had been in the pool, and jumped right in the back seat and went to sleep. He's been sleeping all evening. All that spells success. Thanks Bark Central!!! Next time through we'll be back for sure.

Bark Central has been a blessing - both for my puppy and myself. We found ourselves in a position where day care was needed for my puppy due to an emergency situation. The staff at Bark Central went out of their way to assure me that my puppy would be well cared and gave me an unrushed tour of their entire spotless facility. Dogs are screened before being put into the various playgroups and I was able to watch how staff and other dogs interacted with each other. My puppy continues to go to Bark Central every week day as the experience has been so beneficial...I have a well socialized, confident puppy whose care I never have to worry about. They treat each dog as an individual and specific instructions, such as nap time after eating, are accommodated without question. The staff has also been very helpful with hints and suggestions on how to deal and understand the different puppy stages. Bark Central is great!

My shiba inu loves going here. I wasn't able to bring him for nearly 6 months due to insane scheduling at my job, but when I finally brought him again they immediately greted him by name as if he never missed a day and took him right back to play. He's a very high energy dog, so he seems to appreciate his long days of play every week or so.They offer bulk packages of daycare days which are such a fair price. I buy ten at a time and it takes me a while to go through them. You can use half days too if you just want to drop your dog off for a few hours while you do a large errand run. I haven't tried the overnight boarding yet, but it sounds like a very good price.

Our dog’s collar was messed up like he’d been choked with it at some point during his stay. They also charged an extra day even though we only picked him up an hour later than we dropped him off.

My boyfriend and I really love taking our dog, Cali, to Bark Central whenever we travel for the weekend or just want to provide Cali with a stimulating environment if we are doing a project or house chores. We frequently utilize the Saturday daycare and overnight boarding options. Expect excellent customer service, a clean and attractive facility, friendly staff who seem to really enjoy their job, convenient drop off/pick up hours, and a happy pup at the end of the day! We had a problem one time when, due to a last minute staffing emergency, a bath was not given to Cali. We called and expressed our concerns to the owner who is always very nice and accommodating whenever we speak with her and she resolved the situation to our satisfaction. From my many conversations with the owner, it's clear that she cares about our dogs as much as we do! The price is a little more expensive than some of the area options, but it is completely worth it because of the: professional and friendly staff, much more convenient hours, easy access off of the highway, convenient options (bathing, etc), the great socialization, and the cleanliness of the facility. This is not a kennel, Bark Central is exactly what you'd want for yourself if you were your dog!

I brought my 6 month old puppy for an evaluation. I was not given any information about what the dogs do all day and was not shown any of the facility. I brought food for my dog as he’s a puppy and still eats 3 times a day, and they said they’d “give it to him if he got hungry”. We brought a full ziplock bag (more than he needed) and got none of it back. They never mentioned if they fed him, and he acted like he was starving when we got home. They told me NOTHING about my dog’s evaluation. They told me they didn’t write a report for some reason?? All they said was “he did fine” and that was only after us probing about how he did, they were about to let us go without saying literally anything. When they brought out the dog to the owner in front of us, his dog was BLEEDING. They had no explanation for him, and sent him off with some paper towels. Also, most daycares have cameras you can view to see your dog. This one doesn’t. I won’t be taking my dog back here for his own safety and I recommend others do not either if you care about your dog. Who knows what they do back there and how they treat them. I would have no idea as they told me nothing. I can only assume from the bleeding dog before me it’s probably not good.

The staff at Bark Central are awesome, and always friendly. Shady, my pug, loves going to daycare. While he is there I know he is having fun and when he comes home he will be exhausted, which is the best part! Before Shady stayed the day at Bark Central, I was given a tour; which was nice because then I knew where Shady would be all day. They treat your dog like they are their own and you can be assured they are being taken care of.

Our dog Blitz loves Bark Central. We cannot drive by the place without him going crazy. We have used the daycare and boarding services here and are impressed. Blitz cant get out of the car fast enough when we pull in. The staff are all friendly and you can tell that they love the dogs. Bark Central boarding is such a nich alternative to traditional boarding, especially for social dogs. It is a good feeling to go on vacation knowing that your baby will be played with and loved while you are away.

My husband and I started taking our pup, Axel, to Bark Central a few months ago and it was the best decision we've made! They treat Axel (and all dogs!) like their own and make sure they are safe. Axel comes home exhausted each time we take him and we know it's because he's had so much fun! We boarded Axel at Bark Central when we went out of town and they were so great and accommodating. We wouldn't trust anyone else with him!

My dog loves this place! So far we've only done daycare but its where he goes to "make friends," and has been going on and off (whenever we're local) for years! The staff is always friendly, and truly seems to care about the furry babies brought to them!! They also offer a military discount, and packages to make things easier and save you some money!!

This is a pretty amazing place. Clean, social, and safe! They actually had our dogs out and playing with others all day in supervised daycare and only kenneled over night... my dogs were allowed to sleep together in a large room like enclosure AND fed individually. (One is food aggressive) This was the first time I ever kenneled my dogs that they weren't all stressed when I picked them up....and the staff actually sent me pictures of my babies at play when I was away... like I said... an awesome place!!!!!!!

I took my first dog to Bark Central and they were such a blessing!! My dog had severe separation anxiety and Bark Central was able to provide the relief I needed some days to know my dog was safe, content and having fun in my absence. He was always so excited to get to Bark Central, that one time, when I went to open the back of our van he jumped over two rows of seats and into the back just to get out the door instead of waiting for me to open his door! Ha! Unfortunately, that dog passed away unexpectedly, and even then Bark Central was such a warm place of sympathy (they sent me a card) and understanding. Now I am on to dog number two. Only a year old and boy does he love Bark Central, too! I love sending him because I know it keeps him dog and people social, it builds his confidence and...it wears him out! I can always count on a good night's rest for sure after a day of doggie day care at Bark Central! And who in the world wouldn't want that??

Any time I have to travel out of town, Harp, my boxer stays at Bark Central. The staff are wonderful: courteous, attentive, and patient. The play-pens outside are wonderful. The facilities are kept very clean and tidy, and we're always greeted at the counter by a few smiling pups. When Harp returns home after his stay, he is so played out that he sleeps for nearly a week! I recommend them to others frequently in the Chambersburg, PA area.

My wife and I moved here to Chambersburg a little over a year ago. We have a 3 yr old Bulldog.We have boarded him before with no issue.He is quite excitable around new people and was still humping whatever he could wrap his paws around..lolWe used Bark Central a couple different times and each time there seemed to be a small issue either his non stop play with other dogs or his humping.We dropped him off one last time over a weekend. When we arrived back to get him I asked if there were any other issues..They explained to me how our dog attacked a worker while she let him out of the cage after he ate. They continued to show me pictures of the person with scrapes and a small bite mark also bruises. All these injuries looked to be on the persons forearm and hip area...Knowing my dog the way I do, I was in shock, he never has hurt anyone in the past.. I asked the person behind the counter if there was any video for me to look at, i was told no. Then I proceeded to ask if the other person was that beat up by my dog why wouldn't they have called me.. plus some other small issuesWe have found another kennel, the staff is greatThey know and understand the bullheadedness..lolOf a bulldog...

I really do not like to leave negative reviews online but as I am searching for a new kennel right now I felt compelled to share my last and final experience at this facility. To preface: I understand that when you board your dog at any facility there is a risk of health issues or bodily injury and to me it would be no problem if any issue occurs because that is the risk you take when boarding dogs. I had boarded my dogs many times here and never had a problem. However, last time I boarded here, my dog was bitten and had a deep open would on the underside of his jaw. My fiance picked up our dog per usual that day and noticed it when he got home. When we called that same day to ask when and how this happened so we would know how to treat it, the employees had no idea how or when it had happened. To me this is a sign that the dogs are not monitored when they are playing and they are absolutely not checked over before they leave (if they are checked over at all). it is not the fact that he was injured but that they were negligent of it altogether.

The drop off and pick up process is very quick and easy. The staff is very friendly and I know that my dog is well taken care of while she is there. She absolutely loves going to Bark Central and playing with the other dogs there!

My dog goes to Bark Central a couple days a week and loves it. It is especially helpful in the winter when he needs excercise and it's hard to get him out for a run. All the ladies are great and we love having such a great place to take him.

My Rottweiler, Halle, has been going to Bark Central since they opened. She absolutely loves going there and gets so excited when she knows she is going for the day. The staff is excellent with the dogs and keep them entertained throughout the day. Halle is completely exhausted when she comes home in the evening! I have also boarded her there and they are always very accommodating.

Very friendly personnel who genuinely seem to care about your dog. Prices are reasonable and the layout is nice for a dog. Dogs are sorted by personality and size. There are outdoor play areas and the dogs get plenty of exercise.
