Definitely a tour worth experiencing. The cave boat ride was unique as the boat actually exited the cave and then reentered it making for a perfect photo opportunity. The wild life tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave background on the farm and history of animals. She was able to answer all our questions. While tickets are time specific and there are no lines, it's a good idea to buy them in advance if you have multiple plans in the day like we do. But the time spent in the Cave and Park are worth it due to friendly staff, good cafe options and knowledgeable guides.

Our trip was delayed due to Spring Rains but they squeezed us in on the 1st tour the following day. The Campus was clean and historic...we only did the Cave tour...the 4 of us enjoyed the tour. Would recommend to everyone. The gift shop is large, modern and clean. I had fresh made chicken nuggets before our tour...the cafe has several hot food choices.

Boat ride was full even on weekday. Cave is dark scary without the lights. But huge stalactites. Must see for cave enthusiasts. Cave is cooler than above ground temp.. carry a sweater or fleece.

Awesome place to visit. The tour guides were very informative and funny. My only complaint is that we went a little too quickly thru the cave and couldn't really examine the inside to the degree I would have liked and the boat stopped under a water drip so I was pretty cold.

This was an Amazing Place. Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny. We got VIP, only ones to get tickets for our tour time slot, so it was very relaxing. Whereas, our guide informed us there was a crying screaming baby on the last tour.We were told kids tend to be scared because it's pretty dark in the caves besides your guides flashlight. Boats are pretty long and bump the ground and walls, adding to the fear of it so consider these things when planning to take kids and babies. We look forward to more caves exploration as this set a nice high bar.

Check website and purchase ahead for deals on price. It can seem expensive, but it is a unique experience because of the boat/river aspect. (Other PA caves are walking tours, and may cost less). Cave tours leave on the hour, so plan your arrival time accordingly, otherwise you may have awhile to wait before the next one. You are on a boat the whole time (45min) so use the restroom in the gift shop ahead of time.

While it was disappointing that we didn't get to see the whole cave (flooding meant the water was too high to safely reach the lake), you can't have a more unique cave experience than by boat! As far as caves go I would say it's average with what's in it, but the water experience brings it to a new level. After the cave, we boarded the wildlife bus and it was an amazing experience! Thea was an absolutely wonderful guide, and the interactions and being able to see all the animals was wonderful. We have a 16 month old and she had a blast!

Penns cave was a fun stop! The staff was friendly and our guide had been an off and on guide for the last 10 years. He was fun! You can feed the fish for 25c at the dock and see lots of cave formations. Its about a 30 min boat ride in the cave. We really enjoyed it. Very kid friendly!

Wow, what an amazing cave. Experienced the entire cave while on a relaxing boat ride. It's amazing what Mother Nature has to offer. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and humorous as he led our tour into the cave and out. But I'm not done there. Oh no, for this location, it also offers a surfari tour for a combo ticket. I do recommend getting the combo ticket for the safari tour. It was just as exciting and enjoyable all thanks again to a great tour guide. For the price, it can not be beat. I really enjoyed what Pens Cave had to offer and will definitely come back again

First....buy your tickets at least 2 days in advance. This was a great experience. My niece and i are from Hawaii and love the outdoors. We did this on a weekday and was lucky to have the boat to ourselves. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was patient with us taking pictures/videos and asking questions. We got to see caves, but also see nature at its finest with some wildlife... if you're lucky. If you're ever visiting Pennsylvania... REALLY DO THIS, THERE WILL BE NO REGRETS!!!

My family and I had a fantastic day. Absolutely beautiful. The cave can get cold and possibly bring a long sleeve shirt or light jacket if you get cold. The bus ride through the animal park is so cool. You can get out at 3 different animal pens as well. Panning for gems or fossils is just so much fun. You can also order Bison and Long Horn burgers, which were both delicious, but all of us thought the Long Horn tasted the best. If you enjoy nature, you will love this place.

1. Cave tour was amazing, the tour guide is very knowledgeable and made the trip fun and enjoyable. 2. The Halloween decorations are very cool, the views are wonderful. 3. Wildlife tour is more like a zoo since there are limited space for some animals like black bear and puma to move around. 4. The wildlife tour guide isn’t so knowledgeable and I really didn’t learn much from this tour. 5. The staff doesn’t seem that welcoming but are doing their job. All in all, recommend the cave tour.

Amazing adventure! Worth the drive and the money. The caves tour on the boat was short and sweet, bring a sweater it's cold down there. Bus tour around the property lasted about an hour. We got to see really cool animals and a wonderful tour guide that was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Corn maze and mining for gold and gems was also great. My kids and family really had a great day, I totally recommend going. Total time spent there was about 4 hours.

My wife and I reserved two spots for the boat tour through the cave at 11 am on the Friday of Labor Day weekend. We live 2 hours away and arrived an hour early. We were able to walk the grounds and visit the gift shop. The property is well maintained and absolutely beautiful. Bring some extra money along because you will definitely find something to remember your cave adventure at the gift shop. The cave tour itself done by flat bottom boats was great. Some areas are lit up by lights mounted to the cave walls. While others are done by a spot light our guide had on the boat. Our guide was full of interesting tidbits of information about the cave and how it was created. I gave Penns Cave 5 stars, I would not hesitate to visit again just for the scenery.

The cave was an awe-inspiring adventure, filled with mystery and wonder. Its intricate formations and hidden passages made exploring it a thrilling experience. The dimly lit atmosphere added to the sense of excitement and discovery. Visiting the cave was an unforgettable journey into the heart of nature's beauty. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an extraordinary and captivating adventure. Keep it in mind even I went during summer time it’s little bit cold inside.

We had a great time at Penns Cave and wildlife park- not planning for everything in the summer I should have brought sweatshirts for the boat ride through the cave-so be prepared with little ones I was just not thinking -nice gift shop, clean restrooms, touristy activity to do with the kids. They enjoyed the wildlife park more than the cave but I, the adult was more impressed with the cave 😀we had a picnic outside the gates before we went in, very nice guides and of course the animals are always a 100% win with us. Always good to have extra water bottles. Beautiful scenery, any day outside is a perfect day with the kids. If doing it again I might try spring perhaps less crowded but it was a good experience.fast food restaurants I’m thinking were about ten miles away give or take

This place is an awesome place to see the creation of God underground. The boat tour is well worth the price. The staff are extremely friendly. Sammy gave us our boat tour and explained the various formations and history of the cave. The water is 38 degrees year round which flows through the cave at a rate of 127 gallons a second. The boat ride is about 50 minutes. Bring a jacket as it is cool down in the cave.We also took the wildlife ride in where they gave us a ride around the acreage. There are lots of animals to see which include Bison, long horn cattle, deer, elk, wolves, fox, a black bear, mountain lion and more. Janessa gave us that tour with lots of information.Highly recommended place for a day outing. There also are lots of areas for picnics.

I am so happy we decided to drive here while on vacation. Going through the cave by boat was amazing! We also enjoyed the bus ride and seeing all of the animals! My family really enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend going here.

We drove nearly 3 hours to visit and it was worth the drive and the price. We didn't purchase tickets in advance, but fortunately they had tickets available for purchase. We went on a weekday and it was fairly busy. We didn't have a long wait before tours. We arrived at a good time and had less than 20 minutes before the first tour so we looked around the shop to stretch our legs and purchase some souvenirs. The wildlife tour was informative and there were several stops for pictures. Following that tour there was 30 minutes before the next one for a snack, which they do offer in the main building. Our day concluded with the cave tour, which was also informative and included several stops on the boat to observe the different rock formations. Highly recommend going to check out the various animals and explore a cave.

We did the caves and the whole experience was amazing. We reached there at 12:05 and waited for our tour till 1pm. But while waiting we explored the grounds and did some gem panning. It was fun. Gift shop is nicely curated and have plenty of shiny things for everyone. Washrooms are clean and plenty if that is something you worry about.Recommendations (1) buy ticket online if you can plan ahead to avoid the wait time (2) it gets cold in the cave so leggings and a layer for a kid is must. (3) they don’t allow big bag or backpack in the cave so leave things in the car
