Lady that works in home medical supplies department is extremely rude. I called with a very simple question, and she bit my head off. This is my first and only experience with Hartzell’s, and I’m very disappointed. I thought for a neighborhood pharmacy, they’d treat people better.

This pharmacy is the best of both worlds: small enough to receive personalized, caring service like an old school neighborhood pharmacy, but large enough to deliver all the conveniences that modern technology provides. They also have medical supplies & equipment, a compounding pharmacy and delivery throughout the Lehigh Valley. The best part is their friendly knowledgeable staff. If you're tired of just being another number at a national pharmacy chain, give Hartzell's a try; you won't regret it trust me!

My wife recently visited this establishment and spoke to a gentleman who loudly pronounced he was the owner of “this establishment”, and made assumptions to my African American wife that she was on Medicare or Medicaid. Then he told my wife that all he works with is Highmark, and never worked with her insurance before. Mind you our insurance is Capital Blue Cross? Didn’t raise his voice to anyone else, also mind you that the other patrons waiting were not a minority? My wife didn’t match his tone or vocal level, and politely dismissed herself from the situation.I can’t tell if the owner of this establishment was having a bad day. Maybe there was something else happening in his life that he presented himself this way. But I won’t waste the time making assumptions, though facts about the situation paint a very clear picture: To anyone reading this, if you are a minority, please tread with caution.My wife and I will gladly go back to CVS. At least they treat people equally, with decency, and professionalism.

This is my pharmacy. I've been going here for years. Always a helpful staff. They also sell medical equipment, recliners that help out those of us who need help getting in and out of chairs. Breast cancer specialists, various braces etc. Long time family owned.

Read other reviews regarding DME. They will bill you indiscriminately regardless of your insurance coverage. Be careful here.

Very disappointed in our local pharmacy. We have purchased may things from Hartzell's including a power lift recliner for my father. This time we needed a toilet seat with handles with a larger seat than the one we have. I sent my brother to get one as we live very close by. The one he came home with was even smaller than the one we have. We opened it looked at it and realized how small it was. Within the hour he went back to return it and was told no returns! At no time did the sales person ever mention this. He was told it was on his receipt. Who reads the receipt before the sale is final? You try and support local business's especially now. Sorry Hartzell's but you have lost a local long time customer. I was able to get a beautiful chair from Amazon and it will be here in two days. And you wonder why Amazon is putting out local businesses'. Poor customer service!

Went in with script for compression stockings. Waited at customer service a few minutes. Lady was at computer. I said is anyone here to help me. She ignored me. Went to back by pharmacy. A woman said be with you in a minute. Showed her my scriptShe said the lady out front will help me. Told her I was waiting and no one acknowledged me. We went out to front and she said there she is she will help you. I said that is the same lady ignored me when I came in. The.lady she was busy on the computer, which I would have understood if she would have acknowledged me and said, I'll be with you in a minute. I told her I did not derserve to be ignored. I walked out. Never to go back and will leave everyone know it. It would have taken a few words - be right with you!

After many repeated delays in getting Cpap supplies, and having to wait for months to get them, and the worst customer service I have ever had to endure from a Dme company, and been told they never received the script for supplies from my doctor, even after my doctor personally showed me multiple faxes they sent them months ago all the while this company NEVER called me to tell me they didn't receive the faxes and here I am waiting for months for supplies to be delivered, I wish I could give negative star reviews! After months of waiting I received an incomplete order, heated tubing, 2 nasal pillows, and 2 filters. Seriously? Never got my water tank, headgear with additional pillows, and other filters. Rarely do they answer my calls if ever! I do NOT recommend this company. Go elsewhere. 👎👎

Years ago they had great customer service for medical supplies. Not anymore!. My husband and I both use cpap machines for sleep apnea. We are eligible for new nasal pillows every month per our insurance. When we call in for an order every month they constantly send them in late so we only receive the supplies we're eligible for every other month. They constantly have excuses- we called in late, didn't get the referral from the doctor, c. After trying for months and talkind to the owner on down, things never improved. We are transferring our business elsewhere. Do not recommend this place at all. If you need medical supplies, go elsewhere!!

There dirty sleep apnea machine put my husband in the hospital . Then they charged us another month use when we sent it back and they claimed it took 20 days to get. When I called today, the reason was, they didn't have our current insurance information. Funny thing. They could have asked, if that was true. Or why didn't they get it from the the Doctors office who ordered the machine. Who's not doing there job there. Well whoever it is thinks it's easier to push the responsibility on to the customer. I say, use Youngs medical. They don't steal from there customers.

The sales people misquoted me a price on a wheelchair, but the store manager later made things right for me. The sale staff is very friendly and the selection of the equipment is very nice. The store was pretty busy the times I was there on Saturday mornings. Spent a good amount of waiting on those mornings. Might be good to pick a slower time.

Thank you so much for masking your staff. I only wish that customers were required too as imo pharmacies are like medical buildings. Your staff was helpful. I like that I can schedule a vaccine here. It was my 1st time here. It was a little hard to find.

Hartzell's is a great local pharmacy and I will continue using them over CVS or other big name stores as long as they are here to serve the public. My love for Hartzell's has only grown since I started using a CPAP with them. Ron Cherawaty is an absolute pleasure to work with; during the consultation he demonstrated his vast knowledge and experience with CPAP and made me feel completely comfortable with the equipment I was choosing. Ron has continued being awesome by helping me work through ordering issues and even getting me a much needed part when I accidentally broke it. Thanks for the great service Hartzell's!!!!

First time using their service. Very friendly over the phone, went in to get a nebulizer machine for my grandma and they were nice and informative. The store inside is very nice too. Only reason i didnt give 5 stars is because im waiting to see how well they proceed if there is a problem with insurance. They adivsed me it will take 5 days to process with insurance and will need to submit papers to the doctors office.

Very friendly staff and make you feel comfortable. I had a sleep study done and I was referred to hartzells pharmacy for my cpap equipment. I was nervous not knowing what to expect since I never needed 1of these machines. The staff there comforted me and explained everything to me and showed me how to use my new equipment and make sure the mask fitted to my comfort level. They took care of all the paperwork with my insurance company. Very stress free environment I will be getting all my medical supplies from Hartzells...

This pharmacy probably saved my life. I am from Catasauqua and live in the Towers that has a high amount of Covid 19 infections. Not only does Hartzells deliver most of the medications free to the elderly but they went totally out of their way to help the ones that could not get out to be vaccinated through drive through hospitals and clinics. Hartzells cared enough about us to come to our building to inoculate the most vulnerable individuals in our building. I applaud them and thank them from the bottom of my heart. Who knows how many more would have perished had they not cared enough to help the helpless people. Some are deaf, some are blind, some or most are not capable of taking a bus or driving. We have a special connection with this pharmacy and anyone who lives in a small town would be so lucky to have a pharmacy as caring as Hartzells. Since the board of health has now made it more difficult for most of us in a elderly high rise to get COVID vaccines because they have decided to streamline their efforts to just the hospitals, buildings like ours will have a harder time getting vaccinated. Thank you to the Hartzells.

I love this pharmacy. They are so personable and friendly. Once I had a prescription that was over $600 and their compound pharmacy was able to make me one for a much more reasonable price. Adam was very helpful and patient with me and I couldn't thank him enough!

Horrible Pharmacy. Supplies ordered 3 weeks ago, still waiting. Call customer service told me we would receive before Memorial Day weekend to no avail. Left message for a manager on Wednesday. Manager returned my call on Tuesday the next week. Too many different stories. Stay far away from the Pharmacy.Unhappy customer.

This company does not honor their word! I went to them for a CPAP mask and was told it was fully covered by my benefits and I didn't owe anything, now I am receiving collection notices for an unpaid balance. I will never do business with this company again!
