In my opinion if youve seen one family Dollar you've seen them all. Messy on shipment days, short staffed. This particular store has gotten better recently. The new manager seems to want to make it better. But it is family dollar. They pay their employees terribly.

This is the store Ive ever been to. They literally open when they feel like it. You never know if they are going to be open or not. Some days they just open up an 1 1/2 late. They lock the door when trucks come. Not to mention, the place is super dirty and always under stocked. It sucks because its the only store in Carnegie that walkers can go to.

I've lived in Carnegie for about 6 years now and this place has really gone downhill recently. You got about a 50/50 shot of them being open during business hours. Went there yesterday at 6pm, sign on the door they closed at 3. Got there this morning at 8:20 (supposedly opens at 8 but we all know they never do) two women outside smoking, said they needed 15min to open. Come back at 8:40 one is right back outside smoking. I don't blame the staff though I blame their district manager ( if they even have one). Whoever is in charge of their manager. They're doing an extremely poor job keeping this place staffed properly in terms of volume of people and quality of workers. I don't know if they need to pay more to be more competitive but what they're doing is not working. The only good thing about this place is the location.

Dirty, un-organized, hard to navigate isles and much more makes shopping there a literal nightmare. I grew up coming here often and it used to be clean and well stocked. When I go in now, it's a complete and utter disaster. I do not recommend coming to this store! Make the extra trek to Shop N Save or Walmart for your grocery needs!

Stopped at the store at 7:50 pm on June 6 and the store was closed and locked with no notification or signage reflecting the reason why. Was trying to do an Instacart pickup for a customer and the hours state they are open until 10pm

The staff are great. You can find some very neat things here. I come here at least once a week or a few more times to get items for last minute reasons. I'm gonna have to say, their hand carts are a bit dirty but generally the store looks clean and the music is smooth when you walk in.Never had a problem at all and most of the items I'd buy were less than 2 bucks.

They're really stocked up and have a lot of name brand stuff for cheaper than the grocery store.... Well worth the trip....

I've never had a bad experience there. It's a bit messy, and old. You can still get all the things you need. I went there for paint supplies. They had most of what I needed. They sell food and clothes and kitchen utensils. They sell cell phones and cheap electronics. It's your typical convenience store.

Store was dirty and unorganized. I knocked something over but caught it before it hit the floor. Clerk made a comment, if you break it you bought it. I must have given her a nasty look because she kept saying , "it was a joke"I almost said if you knew how to block shelves it wouldn't happen in the first place. Some great summer merchandise, decent prices,so not a horrible experience but needs some organization and proper running of the place

Some of the employees are nice and do their jobs. The one middle aged woman who works there is always unpleasant, talking about corporate this and corporate that. She is very lazy and never running a register, even if there is a line of 10 people. Always talking rudely to customers. I'm going to take my money elsewhere.

Horrible customer service or lack there of. Got there exactly at 8am. Stood outside waiting for the door to be unlocked for 25 minutes. Employee never came to door to let me and the other lady standing outside in or know when the door would be unlocked. Hours on the sign says they open at 8am. Won’t ever be back.

love the store they have everything I need ❤this store is needed people that don't drive this store is a life saver appreciate this store there understaffed and can only do so much appreciate the workers that are there so you can get your stuff people to day don't want to work or can't pass the drug test to work the ones working the store are doing the best they can and there nice and always willing to help to the ones complaining what would you do with out them appreciate the store and the workers carnegie needs this store.

Great staff, they do a great job and work very hard. Each one of them do the job of many people, every time I go in they are working really hard. And doing there best. Wish corporate would give them more of a payroll to help them out more.

Constantly a line with 1 cashier. Ive done this job 20yrs and you always need to put customers 1st n rest will fall into place. Especially as a manager. Manager on floor cuz they are stocking and shelving changes while kid up front is getting slammed. I am actually having to ask for another cashier to help kill the line. I realized if a customer dont ask for another ringer then the cashier up front, alone and in shambles with a line that wont stop growing will have u sitting there all night...*im not a rude, racist or discriminatory type of person* the cashier thats in there now is not the type of person to have on a register...let alone him ring during heavy traffic times by himself...he should be stocking or something at his own pace. THIS STORE NEEDS MORE THAN 1 REGISTER OPEN DURING SHIFTS ESPECIALLY during rush hour. If the customers not happen at the end of the transaction the company did not do their job either.

The hiring manager is a man with a very small mind his mouth is very disrespectful he talks extremely inappropriately to his stuff I know because I was one of them just got fired because I wasn't taking his disrespect good luck if you go work here it's not worth the disrespect from the hiring manager the assistant manager she is amazing

Store used to be alot trashier.. became nice but it seems the workers there claiming this is their store don't do a very good job ruling out who the problem is or what the problem is. They take sides with in whom their "cool" with..Utterly immature ignorant workers.

Today is the second time in 2 months I needed something in the morning and it wasn't open, even though the posted hours say it should have been. Their hours say they open at 8am, I tried to open the door around 9am, it was locked. There were employees in there looking at me trying to get in.This place has a lot of problems

This store is horrible! They do not appreciate their employees and they start rumors about how to get rid of the employees to a point the customers are approaching the employee, or start rumors where other customers have brought it to our attention. Very unprofessional establishment. Our friends and family members will not be returning!

I called to ask a simple question because I'm from out of town. I tried to confirm the address with a female employee that answered the phone and she said "I'm hanging up" how rude and unprofessional!
