I can't rate this restaurant.Despite hearing good reviews and the sign saying they were open 20 minutes before closing, we were told the cook had shut everything down for the night.Yes, we took a shot at getting a meal late in the evening, but it was disappointing that the facility left the open sign flashing in the window when they were obviously not.I'm fine with a local eatery shutting down early. Unlike a chain that is required to serve if a diner walks in to serve, a small operation really should put out the closed sign when the cook calls it a night.

I only managed to get a picture of the my pie. LoL I’ll add more next time we go. Food was excellent, I had the seafood platter and my wife had the hot Turkey with gravy and mashed potatoes. Hers was excellent as was mine. They have the best coleslaw of anyone. It’s ground and very creamy. So if you like this style you’ll love theirs. The pie is homemade and you can taste the difference. My wife had apple and it was absolutely delicious as was my berry. Finally found a home cooking family restaurant. Locally owned and operated. Met the owner who was the chef. We will be back over and over.

Normally this place is one of my favorites but tonight when I went in with my family so my daughter and my old lady I waited for over 30 minutes they never once came to a table we legitly asked twice for service and they never even acknowledged us after waiting for over 30 minutes at a table and nobody coming to see us we ended up walking out tonight never again they are not LGBT community friendly

Best Ruben (turkey) I've had in decades.Brian was wonderful to work with when we were planning a lunch for family and friends after my mom's funeral. Very accommodating. And a genius with fried chicken.

Spaghetti was cold. Garlic toast burned in places. Double hamburger burned in places, dry, bun wasn't fresh. Fish sandwich bad. That bun was sticky, not fresh. Food here has been bad for several visits and is getting worse. Not sure how anyone can send it out of the kitchen and think it's ok. They need to begin with quality ingredients. Too bad as this place was a sentimental favorite for a lot of people.

I saw reviews go both ways on this place, so I tried for myself. I'm glad I did. The food was fresh, good and the portion sizes were just fine ( and I'm a big eater!) The menu was pretty large, over 4 pages, with many choices of dinners and sandwiches. The starters were diet cheap, like $2.99 for breaded cauliflower, $6.99 for a sampler of like 4-5 different things! The service was quick, the waitress very friendly and she came back multiple times to refill/check on us. No complaints here whatsoever, I'll be back for sure with the whole fam!Addition 3 yrs after first one above: Still love this place, had breakfast this morning and the oatmeal and country fried steak made my day. Destiny served us, never missed a beat and super friendly to BS to!

They have great food. The portions are great for the price. Desert is a must! The people are very nice and friendly. I have known some of them from working other places and know they will take care of you like family. If you haven't been here it's definitely a place to check out.

Great food and service when I've been. Love the open faced sandwiches and hoagies. Dinner plates are better for bigger meals but never once had anything bad from there. Love all the bakery goods on display when you go in too. The peanut butter pie is to die for. 10/10 reccomend

This place has went down, first off 18 dollars for a steak, that was all fat, then my husband ordered the all you can eat fish only to get a cold small piece of fish, my sides came out first I ordered medium rare steak, then they never offered us anymore fish never came back to table to even ask to refill our drinks, you could hear them having a good time in kitchen. Really bad it's a shame it did have good food not anymore.

To give credit where credit is due, the wait staff is extremely attentive and upbeat. My server was Destiny, but I was also helped by several others during my visit. I ordered a steak and eggs meal. The timing of the food was not a problem, but when I cut into the steak I noticed an only slightly pink center. Having ordered medium rare I felt like it was light on the rare. I didn't want to be "that guest" so I went on eating. As I got about 2 ounces into the steak(half of it), it got more cooked until there was no pink to be seen. I let my server know, and she went into the back to ask the owner, Brian, if he would remove the charge for the steak, since it was only half of what I wanted. He refused to even make me a new one, even though it was his cooking that left me undersatisfied. Don't go here, unless you want to have a tightfist cook your meal in the cheapest way possible. And before anyone says that I was trying to get a free meal, I wasn't. I expect standards of customer service from the owner of a building, and hemissed the mark on that standardThank you for reading.

I cant believe I've never been here before until this week being that I live so close. This place is a hidden gem and should be advertised more. My son is usually the toughest critic and he cleaned his plate and ordered dessert. The eggs Benedict were terrific but hollandaise sauce was a little sub par. We were so impressed with this places over all quality that I forgot all about the sauce. The creme brulee was rich and creamy. The staff were very polite and helpful as well. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Oh my god their sausage gravy and biscuits are to die for. I complimented the chef and he told me they make their gravy from scratch. So amazing. Real good homestyle, better than mom made food.

The batter dipped fish is deliveries. Dad said it's the best he's had in years! Hot turkey sandwich is real roasted turkey. Country fried steak is a huge breakfast! If you go, be sure to check out the zucchini fries! So yummy!

This place is horrible in so many ways. Keep in mind this is not a one visit experience years ago this place was good. Mess up orders don’t cook it enough whatever is wrong with your meal they do not care never replace or refund money waitress are lazy look right at you turn away and very very rude and the portions just get smaller. And let me tell you about there buffet cheap microwave sausage links and powered eggs is what you get for top money. I will never or my family eat here again please get your restaurant back in order disgusting

Food was not good at all. I spent $55 and did not get what I paid for. There was very little steak on my steak hoagie. Turkey sandwich was dry, gravy was very lumpy, and fries were cold. My son's grits were very watery. Not good at all. Would not recommend.

I've been here twice. The first time there was mine and one other table occupied. The waitress that brought me a menu disappeared for over 5 minutes and reamerged when she heard me ask another waitress where she was. The second time I sat for 20 minutes after I was given a menu. Again not many people inside so I just left. I'm not going back.
