This Dollar General isn't the biggest store, but they have a pretty large inventory. You are very likely to find what you are looking for. They have been very well stocked, even during the pandemic which has been extremely helpful. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it always takes a while to check out as there are a few employees who don't do their job.Okay, I am changing my review and rating. I took a star away due to the fact that employees aren't typically friendly, helpful or even doing their job for that matter. Hardly anyone is ever at the checkout, and when there is, it's because there is a line of people. Every time I go here, I can expect to stand in line for at least 10 minutes. If you are in a hurry, stop somewhere else. This isn't the place to go. They finally have the self-checkout working, but sometimes they are doing stuff on it, and it's not available for use.. plus it only takes cards. No using cash there. And believe it or not, there are still some people, like myself, who prefer cash over a card. Hopefully they allow more options in the future.Also, the stock has been very low lately, but that isn't the fault of Dollar General, that is just how it is everywhere

Very good customer service with a very good store manager who was very understanding and knew her job well. On 4-21-2021 at 1:00pm I needed a refund for an electronic item. The dollar general computer system declined the refund even though I never left the parking lot because I wanted to verify that the item worked. It did not. The manager was very helpful and was able to override the declined refund. She did this quickly and with a positive attitude. Thank you dollar general in carmichaels pa.

It is a small store so one would expectthen have limited stock. But I found it to appear Run down & dirty inside. The only thing that excited me was they carried bbq Frito's and I haven't seen those in years.

Employees are friendly but not one person ,customer or employee, had a mask on this morning. It had been rate to see overall making of the employees since this all started. The state requirements are still in place as of this morning. It is disappointing all the sacrifices parents and small businesses have had to take to try to protect our children, customers, employees and livelihood, but wearing a mask is the biggest challenge for this organization.

very unorganized, n dirty. not enough employees to do what they want done. Although the employees r very nice n helpful, i feel bad they have to work in that condition with the way the store is unorganized n over stocked. some asiles u can barely get through with a buggy due to all the stuff they have n no place to put it.

Your average Doller General. Has most of what you need, general house care items, small selection of furniture kits, house hold appliances, nonperishables aswell as frozen and refrigerated goods. Clothes, pet supplies for common/standard pets, (cats, dogs). Friendly staff.

If this is the Carmichaels store. RUN!!! It's under staffed with underpaid employees whose has 2 employees on each shift respond for not only unloading truck shipments but unpacking it, rearranging the entire store to fit everything. Their expected to do that and watch for customers at the register so it involves stopping what your doing every few moments to check a person out... ridiculous. Watch out for the Neo Nazis store manager Susan Donnelly West who will falsely accuse customers of shoplifting in her greater attempt for good..the real shoplifters walk right out past her undetected LOL. Because of that crazy woman I refuse to ever shop there again. Dollar general needs to FIRE that lady before they get theirself a nice little lawsuit. Her dollar general manager status clearly has gone to her head. Run run run from this store. Very disorganized store, you always maneuver around huge boxes and piles of boxes and stock. To small and cramped. And don't pay the employees that actually do their job a decent living wage for the work that they do.

New store is nice don't get me wrong but the manager wanna be "SUSAN DANLEY WEST" is NO GOOD!! She deserves to be put on blast for what she does to customers, the stories are endless of this woman accusing ppl of shop lifting & mortifying ppl in front of other customers, then when u prove her wrong she still is IGNORANT & doesn't apologise. There's a way to do thing when you work retail & this isn't acceptable by NO MEANS!! I even witnessed a woman call her out for accusations & embarrassment, this lady was so mad she was demanding someone call the cops & strait up told miss Susan she was gonna beat her a** to come outside, yeah miss bad butt didn't wanna go that route. So tired of seeing her tell ppl to get out of her store, when she has no right to do so. I won't stop TIL SHE LOSES HER JOB! PARKVIEW KNOLL TRASH IS WHAT SHE IS!!

Prices on some things are higher then Walmart. Friendly staff. Cluttered store. Some safety issues. But for the most part great store.

I like Dollar General for a lot of things I use. Their greeting cards, wrapping paper, paper products, things for the bathroom. They also carry my favorite gum.
