The place does appear to be a bit dirty for serving food. The meats for sale are the bright spot. Also I'm so glad I found a local place to buy Raw Milk! And if you bring the glass jug back to them after use, they give a $2 refund per bottle!

The Hot Bar has a variety of daily entrees, a couple of vegetable choices, a few pre-made salads. The grill has a good selection of hot dogs, sausages, hamburgers, BBQ, fries etc. Service is quick and convenient for lunch hour requirements. They post the Daily Menu on FB.

It always smells good when you walk in the door. They have a deli and a nice, quick stop, specialty grocery section. They also have reasonable meat pack deals. Very nice helpful staff.

A meat market and Deli with a twist - they have a small, but yummy hot lunch buffet, a make-to-order grill and a separate sandwich counter as well as a Deli & fresh meat counter There is a small seating area. Lots of helpful staff. Some dry-goods on shelves. Store is hidden in an industrial part of the city. There was a guy out back today carving an ice sculpture (not sure if he was part of the store).

These guys will go far above and beyond for the customer. I only got Dry Ice but who literally the only place in PA that has it in the weekends. And at a better price(on weekdays too)

We had an excellent experience with Wengers! We ordered food for our son’s 8th birthday party and it was such a hit! The presentation of the food was great! The subs, potato salad, and macaroni salad were delicious BUT those wings were FANTASTIC!! Many compliments from party guests and wanting to know where we got the food from. We will definitely be using Wengers for any future events that we will have!

Heard about Wenger Meats from family friends and hired them to cater for our wedding. Wenger allowed us to taste the menu options before the wedding, and maintained excellent contact before and during the wedding. We ordered chicken marsala, sweet potato casserole, veggie blend, and drinks, and were very pleased with the taste and quality. No drama or difficulties on wedding day, and staff were always kind and pleasant.

Don't listen to the people giving bad reviews. I've never had a problem here. It probably helps that the man who runs it goes to my church, but he treats everyone well. My favorite is chili dogs without cheese. Their beans are kinda weird tasting, but most people seem to like them. Excellent place, with excellent service. I like to pick something up from the shop inside to complement the meal.

This place is top notch and a one stop shop! Excellent variety of Fresh quality meats, local treats, and deli for tasty home made meals. The staff is all beyond friendly and very helpful. Also one of the very few places in PA with dry ice. Highly recommend this gem!

I never leave reviews but this is a Fantastic place and the service is 100% . Everything there is fresh fresh fresh! I’m a truck driver and every time I’m in town I walk in there to get one thing and end up leaving with bags of groceries. You cannot beat the price for the quality of the food. Also the butcher takes care of his customers very well. Because I’m on the road a lot, he even vacuum seals my steaks, chops ect separately. ***** place!!!! No 🧢!

My first time at Wengers Meats.The meat selection was outstanding and very fresh looking. Nice sized crab cakes and a good selection of sides.The chicken that was roasting, fill the store with that wonderful smell.Bonus..if you pay with cash, you get 2% off your total.

Had a great cheese steak today. It was more like steak and cheese because it was delicious strips and chunks of steak, not the usually thin shredded steak.

I was here for the first time today. I had their BBQ ribs for lunch at home, which were tasty and tender. (Although I added some apple cider vinegar to it since I crave that.) Later I enjoyed part of the very hefty salad they had prepared. It had great variety and was only $2.49. They also have milk, half & half, and cream in glass bottles, including raw milk. I've written about only a few of the items on sale at this local business. If you are in Carlisle, I think it will be well worth your while to check out Wenger's. By the way, the service was excellent. The one negative is that hot foods should not be placed in the same bag as cold salad for take out.

Very best meat market around! Their ham loaf mix is best I've ever had. They also sell good milk in glass bottles from a local creamery. You can also get dried pig's ears and beef bones for your dog at much better prices than the pet store. There's excellent prepared food and deli items and soup and a place to sit and eat. Far better lunch break spot than a fast food joint!

Okay, so when your looking for some home cooked food, or amazing tater salad, this is the place to go. I make it a point to go at least three times a year for one thing.....The most amazing Cheese steak sub in pa. People from out of town travel to get here because of this unique sub. Its marinated, real steak strips, with the fixins if you want. The best part about these are that, you actually ruin the flavor if you put sauce on it. they are that good.

Wenger’s is truly outstanding in many ways. They have a simple breakfast sandwich. Bacon, egg and cheese. It is great! Cooked fresh! Hot bar!! Throwback items stuffed peppers, stuffed cabbage and other wonderful comfort food. Sandwich Rye? Marbled Rye? Sub? Very nice sandwich selection and the sandwich makers are good listeners for the demanding sandwich customer. Meat!! Glorious meat!! I like the steaks!! They’ve recently installed refrigerated display case near front door. Quiche, prepared meals, salads, soups and many more.Furry friends? There are nice bones for the furry friends at the checkout. The butchers are good listeners and follow through on special cut requests. The customer service reps are friendly and attentive. I LOVE this place.

Get lunch here all the time--never seen a place with so much variety in the hot bar day to day, even including delicious thai fish once. Love the grill and the deli, too, and very happy to support a local business. The breakfast sandwiches are hands down the best and know kids at Dickinson that'll go downtown to get one in the morning.

I was treated very poorly by the lady (short older lady with short brown hair) upon ordering and the encounter ended with her throwing my to go box of food on the counter. I come to town for business a lot and have heard great things about this place. So I was excited about eating food from there but I left feeling like I don’t need to come back and I won’t. It was some of the worst service I’ve ever received and this lady will bring the business down to the ground if she’s allowed to continue with taking her anger out on customers and act very ugly.

Wengers subs might be the best in Carlisle and their hot bar is as good as it gets. This is probably the most underrated place around to grab lunch in my opinion.

This place is a haven for comfort food, and good home cooked...well everything. They will treat you right, and they will make you feel comfortable. Most of the people that gave this 1 star are people who aren't used to being treated like a family member form businesses. They joke around alot and carry on and generally have a good time.

Best sandwiches you can have here in Carlisle people are really nice the food is always good they cook it well perfect and for all your truckers out there this is one of those places you got to visit. Wish I can give them 10 Stars😃😃
