Deli meat goes bad the day after it is cut. Not only one time has this happened and they just say it's your fault for getting the lunch meat there. It has became slimy, turned yellow, and this is within 3 days! Frozen fresh fruit smells like mold (its supposed to be mango). There has been beetles on my strawberries.

DO NOT BUY DELI MEAT OR VEGGIES HERE. Go to the Weis @ 1020 Northern BLVD in South Abington Township for FRESH deli & veggies!!! (Their store is larger, MUCH NICER with a way better selection). This Weis in Carbondake is a disgrace & should be investigated...possibly shutdown.I will be reaching out to their Corporate about their deli meat here (which I HIGHLY SUSPECT is old meat being repackaged & sold at outrageous prices - it goes HORRIBLY BAD within 3 days, smells foul & is REALLY slimy upon opening). Absolutely atrocious.Every time I come here, their veggies are almost always old, soft & rotting. Even the pre packaged salads and arugula are slimy. Only came here out of desperation last night & I'm reminded exactly why I'll NEVER come back. Drive the extra mile to the Weis @ 1020 Northern BLVD...its well worth the drive for FRESH deli & produce.

Not always clean but has a variety of items recently revamped aisles. Thank God they stopped charging to use carts! There is a smell like something is bad frequently

This place is great if you want to get punched in the face with the smell of fish as soon as you walk into the entrance, which is on the opposite side of the store from the meat department. I'd say the meat smells rotten upon opening it (before the expiration date) 25% of the time at least. The amount of money I've wasted on throwing out meat is even more gross. Someone's definitely not refrigerating it properly in the back.

I just started shopping at the store within the past year. For the most part it's a wonderful experience, with good workers who know where things are and are willing to help. The only major issue I had here was with their point system which they have reimagined since I was left in a waste store and the points only last a short time and you rarely build up enough points to be usable. Other than that the store is well laid out, always clean, and it's easy to locate things. Prices nowadays are a bit higher everywhere but for the most part they are very competitive and they have no complaints.

They've made great enhancements. Hate the cart system requires a quarter to free from lock for use. You get your quarter back when returned to cart stands.

I really do enjoy shopping at the Carbondale Weis. The staff are friendly and have better quality food at better prices than other grocery stores I shop at.

Been coming here for years, the best option for me for where I live since my local store is pretty limited. Nothing but praise for this place, as (mostly) it has everything I would ever want. I come here on a weekly basis, shopping for just myself, browsing for whatever catches my eye on a whim. Or sometimes specifically aiming for things for a meal idea I found online, or replicating a food I ate at a restaurant. So far, it's never disappointed.The staff is absolutely golden. I rarely bother them and just let them do their job, but whenever I'm at a loss and need to ask for a bit of help finding something, they've been nothing but saints in helping me out. And that's not even getting into how since I'm a browser and indecisive, plenty of times I've been asked if I need help with anything. The workers here are just great, nothing but praise for them.A few negative things I can pick out is many times the produce can be a bit on the underwhelming side, but I chalk that up to their source of produce and won't fault the store itself for it. All too many times I crave tomatoes, and completely have to pass them up since the quality is just bad. But from what I can see from any store I go to, this is just a common thing, so definitely not on the store itself. But from the bakery, many times I've gotten bread and within days mold develops. That's definitely on the store I would say, but not a total deal breaker overall since what I do get, I always love before it goes bad. I'm no expert in baking, so I don't know shelf life of products like that.As a finisher, I'd also say the deli is a bit sad. I adore all those side dishes we all enjoy, all those salads that aren't salads. But they're so laden with mayonnaise here, I can't stomach them. I get that plenty of people enjoy it, but I don't. Much prefer the oil and vinegar coleslaw over a cup of mayo to a cup of cabbage. For the meats and cheeses from the deli though, good selection. Just not a fan of any of the sides at all.

Pretty good store for quick shopping. Moved to the area and this was the closest grocery store, which is convenient. Parking is a little small but manageable. There's an app with coupons that sometimes are good. Various clearance foods and freezer items. Mostly pop in and out. Very few manned registers, but lots of young workers stocking shelves and managing self-checkout.

If you're going to replace experienced workers with teenagers, please hire competent teens. If one more kid gets annoyed with a simple question at the self checkout, I'll do all of my shopping at Quinn's market instead. You folks traded good workers for teens that gossip and text all day... Shame.Update: I'm glad they hired a better staff, although I'm assuming it's because the teenagers are back in school now.My only gripe now is the rearranging of the products around. Why fix what wasn't broken? As a disabled person, it's not easy walking around finding products that I knew were in a specific aisle, only to see something else there.As for the Weis brand name products, I'm pleasantly surprised with most of the flavors. The price however keeps going up which is expected but I hope they don't overdo it or else I'll just give up and find cheaper elsewhere.

Prices are getting stupid expensive. You have to check out yourself while staff stand around and talk about their day. Weise needs to reevaluate everything. Used to be a good place to shop now too expensive and you do the work for those who work there. Why have them if they aren't going to work.

Got some good sales, although really misleading ❗Their shopping bags are horrible! Firstly you simply cannot get these cheap plastic bags to separate. They are irritatingly hard to open. Stuck together, and I refuse to lick my fingers to separate them! Well I'm going through the self check out, mind you there's about five or more checkers standing around joking and looking at the clock to see how much closer they were to the store closing. I'm really getting annoyed that I couldn't put my purchased item in the bag, I'm actually scraping my nails down from the top to unstick them, I add another item to the flimsy bag, go to lift it off, it all falls off through the bag, and the handle breaks! Everything falls onto the floor. I really almost lost it at this stage. I took a deep breath as best I could, cause now I'm overheating and that annoying mask isn't helping matters. It really was more so the workers standing there, just looking at me. Not one person made a single attempt to help me pick up my purchases! I'm happy that the jars didn't break, for they are glass. I'm way over it now. I'm just settling into bed and reflecting upon my day...I'm now like oh well stuff happens. But I'll tell ya those paper thin bags gotta go!One more thing them workers would have gotten out of there a whole lot quicker had they of had the common courtesy to help out a regular client's needs for some basic help, which I'm pretty sure fits their job description.... The cashier's are friendlier now it seems then they were... they have really fresh produce so yummy! Just love fruit and veggies!

As someone who spends $800/month on groceries, the last thing I want to do is scan and bag groceries - there is just one staffed lane for traditional check-out. And now, shoppers must pay to rent a cart. Baskets are apparently non-existent or perhaps, in high demand due to the quarter requirement.If management is worried their carts wills be stolen, they should relocate their store. If employees are complaining that they have to retrieve carts, they should seek different employment.From the looks of things, it seems that Carbondale Weis is hoping to challenge patrons and limit the number of employees they have in their stores. It’s a shame.

This is the main store I shop in besides Aldi due to the cleanliness and how fresh the meat, Vegetables and fruits are. They always have terrific sales especially with the buy one get one on meats and being on a budget that helps my household tremendously.

I'd like to need a second job and have to sell plasma to afford to eat."Well brother have I got just the supermarket for you. And don't worry 90% of the registers are self checkout so you can provide the same labor for free as the cashiers would have had they not been fired to save the company money

Bad meat, bad service use Dutch’s market instead ….. pork was slimy, steak was turning brown on the bottom and the shelves had all old out of date items stocked everywhere had to check dates on everything ….. the check out staff are very snotty and nasty like their doing you a favor by helping you Don’t do it shop anywhere else but here…….

Unfortunately I've had to update my review. Weis has a new program where your points you are not staying on your card, Now they expire every week or two. So basically you're shopping with no real benefit because their prices are not cheap at all. I do believe that I will not be shopping there anymore. It is a shame but there is no benefit as prices are often times higher than anywhere else unless something is on a special sale. I know a lot of people feel the same way feel free to actually have the courage to post maybe they'll make a change.

The store itself is still good, but I'll never order another thing from the bakery. For 2 YEARS everything I have gotten has been done badly, uneven, not decorated correctly, or something else is wrong with it. My entire family used to order cakes from here, but never again!
