Always loved the Dollar General until this month when I went in to do my usual shopping along with my OTC products that I've been doing for years. As I got to the register and tried to pay as usual it would not go through so the girl nicely said she had to call the manager on duty. Well if looks and attitude could kill I was the biggest vermit that crawled the face of the earth. She grabbed all my bags and said we don't take your kind of people with that OTC here now leave! How rude can you be?!?! You've lost a great costumer and another Pharmacy gained one!

A quick place to run for home decor , makeup , toothpaste pizza creamers milk eggs cleaning products to cat litter and food to dog toys to dog snacks bags and food. They truly have a ton to shop for your needs. Also sve your coupon as Saturday you can get 5.00 off of spending 20. Its attached to your receipt. A must to use as save 5 for your kids piggy bank or save for gas weekly. I found some pretty rustic lamps and vintage light bulbs. Gorgeous flowers and vases. I must say the sales on home decor you cannot beat.. the selection I would put in my house. My daughters home has over 20 items from here and the guests always ask. Need I say more. 🙃🙂

Always love dollar generals but this one really isn't bad I love the 1 that's actually in Simpson only 10 minutes from here. But both of them are really good

Another one of the many Dollar General stores in the area. All the same products, different floor plan. Locals may remember the location as the former Carbondale Unemployment Office.

This place is a nice place to shop! Lots of items to choose from, with reasonable prices, and a lot of dollar items too! I took one star away for the clutter. Sometimes it's really hard to maneuver a cart around the many stock carts, and the aisles aren't always cleared of packages or items. The staff, for the most part, are pretty friendly, except there is one older lady that seems like she hates her job, and is mean to everyone who shops there. I know a few of the people there - and they're awesome - always smiling, always friendly. I like coming here for the things I can't get anywhere else nearby, or things that are cheaper in price. Overall, it's worth the four stars.

That place has gone down hill. I understand what's going on in this world we live in. Please don't make comments standing right next to a buying consumer that are totally uncalled for! These women during the day of 10/12/21 are some of the rudest, most unhelpful employees I've encountered in a while there now! Disgrace how they talk about the customers in there! Meanest faces on some of them, ya actually feel intimated by shopping and then getting in their lane, where they don't say a word to you, and act like we the customers are bothering them! Such smart mouths on them! Just might cough all over the wrong person one day, and then we'll see who takes it on the chin...This one woman actually came in from smoking, nothing against smokers, I am one myself. Well in them tight aisles where you can barely turn around with more than one person in it, this worker comes over and starts hacking up a lung without covering her mouth!!!! Disgusting! Again I'm no covid freak, but have some manners despite it and everything else going around as usual, but I felt like I needed a shower just seeing this! Coughing not covering her face all over the aisle! Smdh... Gross. But, I did find some things I was surprised to see in there, and I made my purchases quite happily! Just throwing this FYI out there! Take care peeps!! ✌🏻

We always shop in this store and have always had positive experiences. They have a new employee, man with a shaved head, thirtyish, tall, we've never seen him before, he was just incredibley rude and disrespectful to my wife. He spoke to her rudely, grabbed items out her hand aggressively, and slammed them down. Very disappointing. I don't think we have ever had a negative experience there before tonight. He made her so upset and uncomfortable that she said the next time she goes back if he is working she will leave and go somewhere else.

Employees are very friendly and helpful. I'm one of those guys who is 'blind' when I walk in a store, any store. I can't find a thing I'm looking for but they help me locate my items with a smile. Great store!

Love this store, especially since Family Dollar is now closed. Except there is an elderly lady named Joanne that works there she is the most rudest person arrogant ignorant and belligerent to all customers more people need to call corporate and complain about her so she can be gone, this is not personal I do not know Joanna outside of the Dollar General nor do I care to know her. Do not appreciate being ignored when I walk into a store instead of being greeted instead get smirked at she needs to go all the other employees their agree with this please help on this crusade to get Joanne fired sooner the better...

I went to dollar General today with shoes my daughter bought me. She didn't leave the tags on, nor did she give me the sale slip. They were never worn, they wouldn't exchange them. This was at Clid Dr in Carbondale, Mike was at the register. I shop there often, they know me
