The Johnny Waffles are surprisingly SO GOOD! I stopped in for the first time this morning with the intention of getting an iced latte and a muffin but left with more Johnny Waffles and a great start to my morning. I was greeted and served by Sonja (sorry if that’s misspelled), the manager, and she is so welcoming, sweet, and open to conversation. She gave me some background on the business, herself, and the Johnny Waffle origin story which was cool. The coffee is excellent and this cafe is a great addition to Canonsburg. Fresh Start is the hidden gem of the town right now and I can’t wait to come back. Treat yourself one morning as I did: stop in and get some coffee and a Johnny Waffle (or two). Great people and great food is all we ask for and this is definitely the place. Thank you so much!Kid-friendliness: There is plenty of seating and board games available that kept my toddler busy. Definitely accessible for all people of any age.

Nice place. This is a non-profit place. The owner ties it back into the community. Thank you, Lord, for this opportunity of a humble man who helps others. While sitting there, sipping your coffee and eating a snack. Just listen to the people around you. Talking about life in general. Listen! You will hear how good the Lord blesses all of us on our journey in life. Beautifull stories floating everywhere. Thank you, Lord, for letting me hear them! It's amazing. Beautiful Coffee Shop with an amazing mission. Everyone there was so happy and kind. The waffles are delicious. Their coffee beans are from another local coffee shop that’s owned by a vet. All their pastries are also from local shops. What a beautiful addition to the neighborhood!

I found this place as I was in the area for a meeting, but had some time for coffee. It had good coffee and WAFFLES! Yes, how cool is that? The interior (and restroom) seems new, very clean, and has intentional decor. I will be back as I'll be having regular meetings in the areaI hope they can make a Cortado. I'll have to ask.

I and a friend stopped in yesterday morning for the first time. I had a hot dark roast coffee, a maple bacon nut roll slice, and a Johnny Waffle. The coffee and pastries were delicious. The service was excellent and the cafe was clean, inviting, and comfortable. One of the staff members even gave us much appreciated information about festivals in Cannonsburg. I really like this place and definitely recommend if a person wants delicious coffee and local made pasteries. AA+

My favorite coffee shop. I walk here 4-5 times a week or more, and everyone there knows my name and order. If you want the best LOCAL coffee and baked goods you’ve ever had, combined with THE friendliest staff, plus the amazing, good-hearted mission they have… please give Fresh Start a visit. Canonsburg is blessed to have this store!

Wandered in after eating near by and had no idea this place existed. PLEASANTLY surprised to say the least.The staff was very nice and explained how this shop was formed and that they are NON PROFIT giving back to the community.That being said the CARAMEL MACCHIATO was absolutely fantastic. We will be back!
