Clerk took my debit card right from my hands when I was trying to tap for payment. He didn't even know how to tap it. I tried to take it to tap it and he pulled it away. I literally had to demand my card back. Very weird checkout experience.

We had a bad experience here. I can over look a thrift store being dirty but this one was gross! The items on the shelves were dirty and broken! While I can get over those things, I cannot get over how rude the clerk was at the counter! She made us bag our own items, which I am fine with if you ask me nicely but there was nothing nice about this lady. She often rolled her eyes and was just miserable! Even though I was bagging my own items, she was trying to tell me how to do it and when I didn't do it like she wanted, she rolled her eyes and sighed! Very unprofessional.

Tried to donate no longer used items using their pickup service. Skiis and bike were taken. Dresser was turned away due to incredibly minor scratches (see photo). Artificial Christmas tree (fully functioning) was turned away due to it not being October or November. Note the date of this review (September 16). Writing this to let others know to be ready for extremely picky pick-up service. (Also- had to call to find these reasons out. No explanation was left behind).

This store is an amazing place to find some great deals. I come regularly and always get so lost in all the items they have and the prices are nothing short of amazing and some days they have amazing sales. Love this gem of a place

This location is small when compared to many other locations but that doesn't take away from the selection that you can find. I shop here to save money on my young daughters (3 and 5 years old) clothing and books. I am able to get quality name brand clothes and educational books for a fraction of the cost. Just like with any discount or thrift store you must spend some extra time to sift through all the items but it's worth it.

These people do not have tactics to work with people, they are disrespectful, I had some vouchers for clothes and they made me feel terrible, the lady who charged me even told me that that is why she did not like to do that for the simple fact of that the clothes went beyond what the voucher did, when I very kindly told him that I was going to pay for the difference. look for people with a desire to work and who are not so undesirable, put young people with a desire to work and who are agile. I went to pay something else and another cashier told me I can't help you because I don't charge with a voucher and in a very ugly tone.

First time visit. Easy access and ample parking. The store was clean and had a wide selection of all types of clothing. Also had a selection of shoes dishes and furniture items. Employees were friendly and helpful. Who knows they may just have what your looking for. Would return if in the area again.

I love going to this Salvation Army location and go almost every week. I've gotten many great deals there, furniture, kitchen items, clothes, kids' things, sheets and towels, and costume jewelry. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful; the only names I know are Nancy, David, Joanne, and Keith. I would appreciate more special days (e.g. senior half off), but the prices are low enough that that doesn't matter too much. The store is fairly well organized and reasonably clean - can't expect more than that for a second-hand store. There is plenty of parking too.

Good thrift store overall. Has 3 (or 4?) changing rooms available, has a ton of clothing racks while also having a decent selection of other things like shoes, accessories, houseware, and miscellaneous stuff.My BIGGEST pet peeve is that the clothing is not sorted by size. So instead of sticking to one section of a rack, to make sure I didn't miss something, I needed to look through multiple rows of that clothing item. It's just incredibly tedious to look at each piece, judge if you like it, then check for a size tag, and continue to the next. I spent way longer there than intended because I was specifically looking at clothes, probably about 3x's longer than expected.

They staple their tags right on the clothes and when I'm taking tickets off, I'm ruining the shirts etc and I'm using the proper tool...staple puller. I am so angry and they rang up my order wrong too!!!! Ugh. Tried to call and unable to actually speak to anyone in store. How totally STUPID can u be?

Has a great selection of clothing. I always find cute clothes in good condition. One day I went and got a Zara jacket from their warehouse sale for $30 that was originally $128. The cashiers aren't always friendly, but the item selection makes up for it.

Price inflation sure is real. This store is currently selling old VHS tapes for $7.25 each!!!!. Definitely not thrift store prices. Very disappointed that they are taking these resources away from those in need Price gouging donated goods!!! We need to do better!!!

Prices are a little higher than expected. I went looking for mixing bowls and some other stuff for my kitchen and was pleasantly surprised at the selection. The shelves could use a little more organization and order things are kind of just thrown on a shelf and there is no organization to any of the shelves really.

Very organized, clean and easy to get through the aisles. Lots of clothes, shoes and accessories. However be warned that most items have been sorted by color first. Lots of books, DVDS, records, appliances, and kitchen items. Furniture and exercise equipment too. Seems like they have everything! Personnel polite and friendly.A right fun adventure!

Larger store than normal. Great selection of books and household items that were well-priced. Kids' clothes were very picked over so unfortunately didn't find much despite the amount of items they had in other areas.

Probably the nicest salvation army I've ever been to. They had so many options along with some newer items. If your looking for jeans they have such a wide selection. I came out with some pretty good finds and I'm satisfied with everything. Definitely would shop there again.

The people were nice but I had a hard time taking the price tags off of the clothes I bought. Why would they staple the tags to the clothes? You either get scratched or you rip the clothes. I will never buy from there again. Waste of my money

The premise of The Salvation Army is one of my favorites. However, the organization of their stores is leaving a lot to be desired.. The clothes are barely grouped and primarily by color, not size. In my opinion, they would probably sell more items if it was grouped by size so it's easier to shop.

Huge store with lots of selection. The only thing I dont care for is all Salvation Army stores have clothes by color and not size. Found some designer clothing for little cost. Cashiers were friendly and checkout was efficient and quick. Would definitely go back.

It would be nice if you sized your toddler clothes. Or even out the correct size on the ones you have hanging instead of a random 5 or 6 or 7 on a 3t. Its impossible to find clothes for my toddler without looking at each and every tag, which is hard when running around with a 4 yr old.

Hit or miss on prices. It seems like whoever puts prices on things thinks the store is more like a department store than a thrift shop. I've seen dollar store items priced at two to four times the actual cost. i.e. I've seen storage containers that are normally priced around $1.99 to $3.99 at Salvation Army yet they are $1 at the original store. Overall, the store is fairly nice to browse especially when they have sales.

Among thrift stores of the greater Mechanicsburg-Camp Hill area, Salvation Army seems to have the best balance of item variety and reasonable prices. The cashiers here are very friendly (especially David!) and I’ve found some really great bargains here, especially in the clothing and shoes sections. Be sure to come on Wednesday, their family day, for 50% off!

Price It's so high for old storesI don't know 😕🤷😐😔😪All the time I found something there am so happy to find but when I see the prices too high I keep it there and I go new store I pay few dollars and try buy brand new and easy to return for 90 days
