My sons were in seventh heaven! They have been shoveling snow for the past two snowstorms for go kart wheel money and it all went out the window when they walked through the fishing section at sportsman’s warehouse! We like this store better than bass pro, it’s much less crowded and easier to get through than bass pro with a pretty decent selection of gear. Those two kids were much worse than the stereotypical “kid in a candy shop!” Great store, impressive selection, great displays, this is the only one besides the one in Chambersburg we have been to and there is no comparison regarding selection and display - very nice storeAnother visit 4/27, needed some more candy for the trout and bass 😊 they provided!

What a huge store, with good lots of hunting, fishing, camping along with other stuff to check out. I would give 5 stars but it was hard to find someone to ask a question to. They had a help wanted sign hanging up so maybe they are short staffed and it's sportmans show weekend. I will go back again. The cashier was helpful and friendly.

Went in looking for a pair of shoes for my grandson. The shoe area was a mess, and it was difficult to locate the particular pair we were looking for. I asked a sales person if they could order the size I needed, and they said, "no", they did not order shoes for the customer, however, I could go online myself and order them.

I visited Sportsman’s Warehouse today for the first time as I was in the market to purchase a new firearm. After browsing the store, I went to the back and started my search. For a Sunday it was a little busy. Upon deciding on a gun, Denny waited on me, took my ID and then handed me the tablet to complete my background application. Long story short, after being there for well over an hour awaiting my clearance, another person working in the back started calling numbers. The whole time I was there and waited on, I at no time was aware or advised I needed to pull a number. Once I realized customers that came in after me were being waited on and checked out by number, I walked over to the one guy Ron that referred himself as “one of the managers” and explained how long I was there and was never aware of needing a number until they just started calling them. I asked how I would be assisted since they already had my ID and I submitted my background and was just waiting for a clearance. He advised he didn’t know and it wouldn’t be fair to those that had numbers, it was getting late, and just Rampling off and then ask did I want my ID so I could pretty much leave. If your “management” is this quick to get rid of every customer spending over 1k in the store, It’s obvious they don’t have your company in their best interest. I did go to the front and ask to speak with another manager and he made sure my transaction was completed. Rob definitely needs to learn better customer service skills and how to resolve matters like this effectively.

Firearms section is an absolute disaster. Ordered rifle online, went in store to pick it up and grabbed a number. Took about 45 minutes for the people at the gun counter to work through the 2 customers ahead of me. Filled out my background check and then was notified background checks were taking longer than usual. They say come back tomorrow we will call when your background is approved. Tomorrow comes and its nearly 3pm with no phone call. I call the store and they say my background check has been approved. I drive back to the store and once again take a number. Proceed to wait in line again for over an hour. Disorganized disaster.

Bought a shirt for my son for the holidays. I gave it to him when he was recently home and it was too small even though it’s marked XXL. He is 6’3” and 200 lbs. not overweightI stopped in today to Camp Hill store where they had one register open with about 10 people in line. Finally a second cashier came Can’t believe the rudeness of both cashiers. Was told I couldn’t return item since it was a sale item. I was never told this when I bought the shirt otherwise I would not have done it I try to buy from local stores when I can but with service and attitude like I experienced today, it’s hard not to buy everything I can from Amazon, who never give you a hard time with returns When you call Amazon they are always friendly and willing to help. Again I was pretty appalled by the attitude of cashiers this morning. I also asked about just getting a store credit and not a refund. They told me once sale item is out the door, “that’s it”. Great customer service

I used to prefer this store over Bass Pro however the last 2 visits I haven't been greeted by anyone in any department. It seems no employees are working in the fishing department and that's a shame because I wanted to buy a reel and they were all locked up.Next I observed an LP following my movements. At one point in time I was probably on the fishing aisle for a half hour and he was keeping an eye on me from a distance. When I would move he would move.It would be nice if I had the customer service over automatically being targeted for stealing. I'm a Deputy Sheriff I get it thefts are high right now but man I've never felt like that before and it wasn't positive.

I purchased a quality meat slicer so I thought. I bought it with the store credit card as I do with most purchases. Got it home and it wasn't any good. I took it back to return it or exchange. 150 dollars of excuses. I've spent 1000s at this store without issues. Never again and closing my account.

Normally I can find a better variety of fishing things here than I can at Bass Pro Shops, but this time I was looking for a fishing reel and the ones I liked were out of stock. (The display reels were the only ones they had and they had been vandalized.)

I’ve been buying guns here for years. Always great staff. The only thing that kinda left me salty was they don’t negotiate on used guns. Which is no big deal. But every place I’ve been, if it’s used, it’s almost negligible. I’ll still keep shopping here!

Customer service is horrible! Bought an item in hunting section, got item home and it would not function properly. Returned it next day and told me i had to buy a service contract for 40$+tax which i wasnt offered at the sale didnt even know what he was talking about until he showed me the paper. So now i gotta pay to fix a brand new item because they told me they wont do anything because its now between the manufacturer and me not the store. All because they just wouldnt refund me or take care of me in any way except to spend more money to fix a defective item they sold me.

Understaffed to save money and it shows. So many items on floor have no prices on them, and there are no associates to ask. You have to carry things to the front register and wait in the sales line if you need help.

Update 3/29/24Once again I went in, this time considering buying a new rod. Unfortunately none were strung and once again, no one in the whole section of the store. Considered approaching the customer support desk, but they had a line of 6 people. Driving to Bass pro instead now. Why? At the height of fishing season,why do you have no staff in this section?---------Prior review:Their hunting and gun section is great. Maybe a little understaffed..Their fishing section however is horrible. I've been in many times over YEARS to try to get my fishing reel restrung. I've never been able to get someone to talk to about it. No one is ever in this section. I give up and leave. I will not attempt again. It's a lost cause.

I am new to hunting. This guy cut down arrows for me and gave me so much advice. I ended up buying a crossbow. Some things about the store layout didn't make sense to me but the prices were good and the selection was great.

Stopped here with a friend after the great outdoor show to buy a Henry .22 Staff informed us that they sell don't sell firearms to nj residents. I'm boycotting this place at this point.

Worst customer service I’ve had in a while. You call in to inquire if something is in stock and you get put on hold, hung up on, ignored when you call back and then put on hold to “see if there’s someone who can help you” because the person that answered the phone can’t put a sku in the computer. Don’t waste your time here. Shop at a local store and get exceptional help from someone who actually cares and knows what they are talking about.

Prices are ok, better than bass pro and the location is great. However, I really have to hand it to the Harrisburg area Field and Stream. Their staff is top notch. Specifically Cameron Ben and Daniel. They helped me in a matter of minutes with a problem I've been battling with the online dept for a week!! Thank you both!

Arrived at 2:00 to buy a knife with my family. We came back and picked up a number. There was a family buying a gun which apparently takes ALL the staff. At a little after 3 I mentioned that we had been waiting over an hour, to which an employee stated "yeah that happens" When we were finally helped the employee that helped us had no knowledge of the brands of knives. If I could give 0 stars I would. Waste of time and supremely frustrating.

I work night shift so I’m only available between 3-6 every time I go now bow specialist is there I can’t get arrows cut or have my questions answered if want help in archery I would try to go early or call because chances are if you wait till your off work they are probably gone for the day but it is a good place to buy firearms my wife got hers there the issue is the lack of variety in ammo you only have your common calibers all in all go for the guns that’s about it

This Sportsman warehouse is one of the nicer ones I've been to . My only complaint is , like with all the other stores , they always leave the Archery section without someone working it on the weekends. It's very disappointing to us that can only get there during the weekend! If I had wanted to purchase a new bow there wouldn't have been anyone there to help me !!

I had a store associate confront me asking me why I was spending so much time looking at the ammo! I told him that I am customer and will spend as much time as I need to find what I'm looking for! When I got home I called customer service and filed a complaint! The store said they would talk to the individual about the incident! I will buy my ammo and do my shopping at Bass Pro! Thank you!

Hey I understand this is unusual times, right? So, why not work on your customer care? It is simple, I am sorry helps and good communication. Call corp is a joke (waited 30 minutes and I hung up). I emailed, which I never got a response. Remember to keep your order number, it is extremely important, because apparently they cant fuction with out one. After being called to pick up..they(SW) state they didnt have an order and can't help with a order number...can you look my name?address?phone? Nope. Finally called the store a 2nd time...the lady I spoke to was short on patience, kind of rude, but at least helpful...yeah oxymoron. But she at least made an attempt....so what end up happening..she found was my order was pushed to another order..no I am sorry, no, hey me messed up and would like your business back..Oh this my second trip to the store. My prediction, store will close in 1-2 years. I will get better customer service from on-line stores like Roger's, Cabelas, or Basspro with free shipping. I am not subjected to wasting my time and rude clerks for them to give me attitude for hassling them away from staring at their phone. This was all for me to drive for $10 hat for my wife.

Fast and easy background check, and customer service was great. Selection was scarce but I expected that. Just gotta stay on top of what you want. And get it while you can.
