Wow I am surprised that all the bad reviews! Every time I have called I have gotten through to the pharmacy I have never had an issue. I've never been spoken to rudely. I've never had to wait for a prescription they were always filled on time. I think they are a fine pharmacy. I have no complaints!!!!

“Lisa” refused to give my mom my medication after i just had surgery and was told i can’t drive. my mom had to go to this pharmacy 4 separate times because they kept saying it was too soon to be filled even though i was meant to be having my dosage of meds at 12PM and it was past 2PM at this point. she refused to give my mom my medication and said i’m just gonna have to be in pain. i know you’re meant to respect your elders but absolutely not. she deserves no respect. i hope once her hips give out that people withhold medicine from her… if this wasn’t bad enough, she lost my little brothers insurance card. she is extremely unprofessional, whole place is. DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY!! absolutely disgusting. if i could give a 0 star, i would.

I wish I could leave a review with zero stars. This place is an absolute joke. I had the best pharmacist in the world but unfortunately he had to go out of business and all our files were sold here. Couldn't get through yesterday, finally got someone around 10 after 2:00 who said to give them an hour. I went after work at 4:40 and they asked for 10 minutes. When I said forget it, I'll come back tomorrow I was told it would only take TWENTY minutes. A. Which is it? B. Why isn't it ALREADY ready??? The two people I dealt with were not very professional, nor did it seem like they cared AT ALL. I thought maybe Institute Hill Pharmacy spoiled me but judging by the rest of the reviews, this place is just subpar at best. I won't be going back. Ever!

It never fails, no matter what time of day I call in here they never answer the phone. They will rarely have your medication ready when they claim it will be and in fact you can show up several hours after you've requested a refill and it either won't be ready or they will have no record of you requesting a refill even though you called in for it and spoke with one of their workers who actually made like they submitted it for refill.

I would feel bad for leaving a 1 star review if this really wasn't the actual worst pharmacy I've ever been to. I've had to go to regularly go to various pharmacies over the last 10 years and I haven't had issues until we moved to Butler and I started coming to this pharmacy. My prescription has never, not a SINGLE time, been ready on time. I'll call the automated refill system, it'll tell me 3:45PM is when it's ready, I'll show up at 4:20-4:30 and STILL get told that I have to sit and wait 10 minutes. It would be one thing if there were only 2 people behind the counter but there's 6 people back there...

Why do you have a phone number for your pharmacy if you are never going to answer the phone??? Be a responsible business and answer your phone! I have invested over 2 hours of my life for you to answer your phone to have one simple question answered. I still have not been able to get through.

1st review: was how much i loved this pharmacy. It held 5stars STRONG! untill now. The ONLY reason it gets +2 stars is because of the kindness of the staff with the exception of 1 pharmacist.*UPDATE* I AM NOT PLEASED TO WRITE THIS :( but, last time i was here, the pharmacist tells me "i will NOT fill your script here anymore. You NEED to find a pharmacy closer to your doctor. Ill fill it THIS time but i WONT dont it again.." I told her i live in butler and this is my local pharmacy (only live 4 miles away) but she just shrugged her shoulders and said uh huh you NEED to find a pharmacy closer to the doctor. (45mins away) the cashier was was VERY nice and tried to think of other local pharmacies and make recommendations of places to try. LONG STORY shortened, i finally found a rite aid 45mins away that said they can help me next time my script is due. I will NOT be returning to this butler rite aid due to the way i was treated by 1 inconsiderate pharmacist. Which is sad because i REALLY did like going here before :( but as the the old saying holds true, 'ONE bad apple does ruin the bunch.'

This place is a joke I’ve never had a pharmacy ask me the reason WHY I’m having medication prescribed to me completely crossed the line fast forward to today they refuse to even look for my ear medication. I do not recommend letting these lowlifes handle your medications.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy in butler county. They claim they are understaffed but simply just lazy. Everyone works to get paid to do our jobs correctly and they work and get paid to not do their jobs at all. It takes 2-3 days to even refill a prescription which is unacceptable.

It’s ok buy drinks and snacks but when I go on break time from work that strang guy wears jacket and bag is started following me around the store and he brushed against me I do not appreciate his kind I am customer I do not want be harassed he is creepy and weird he needs be kicked out and prolix called I contacted Justin today and made complaint next time I call police on him and tell the store workers and I will taken photos

I used to love this place at point plaza. 16001 butThe past few times I've been there they think prescriptions being filled are an accident, without calling to verify, not filling prescriptions until patient comes in. Then asks i we've received the text message that script has been filled. I had a RX sent over 24 hours before trying to call and then put on hold for 10 minutes, then when I went in and asked it STILL was not ready. After getting the script I get home to find it wasn't even mixed. Not sure what happened but it's a shame.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy in Butler County. Get orders wrong, get insurance wrong and ask you to come pickup prescriptions they don't have in stock. The pharmacist is most unfriendly and actually said, "Can't you see I'm too busy to answer your questions?!" Actually spent 20 minutes waiting for regular checkout at front of store with only one person already checking out in front of me. So, Rite Aid of 139 S Main St Butler has the worst pharmacy, unfriendly staff and the longest checkout times.

The first time I got a vaccine and prescription filled here, everything was great. The pharmacist was kind, the workers friendly, and everyone knew what they were doing.When I went to refill my prescription, it took multiple days and phone calls before they sorted out whatever issue they had. They apologized and said they had a new pharmacist.When I went to refill my prescription the next time, it took 6 days, at least 5 phone calls, and me showing up in person twice (after they texted and said it was ready!). They blamed my insurance. I called my insurance directly, who said that the pharmacy had never contacted them. After days again, I managed to get my refill as the workers avoided eye contact. No apology this time. I should've left then, but no.The third time I went to refill, I again didn't hear from them. So I called. They again said there was an insurance issue. I noted that they had this issue last time- did they need my insurance number again? Why didn't they save it in the first place? The girl on the phone argued with me and said that her calling the insurance wouldn't solve anything; I argued back that that's what the pharmacist had to do last time to figure it out and that I didn't have days to wait for my refill.Unsure if I would get my prescription before I was out (two days had already passed), I asked my doctor to send my other refill to a different location. It was filled in the hour.When I went to pickup my final prescription from Rite Aid, I used the drive thru because I currently have COVID. There was a sign in the window that said to go inside to get prescriptions. The worker saw me and motioned for me to come inside. I attempted to mime that I was sick to him. What the actual heck is going on with this place???

I've been a Main Street, Butler Rite Aid customer for years. The New Store is nice enough. Clean. Well stocked. I use my R.A. Members card regularly. Lots of great deals when you have time to search out the bargains. Many high quality products that are not always easy to find elsewhere are also available, at premium prices of course but I won't criticize for good business practice.I must agree with the previous commentary upon the poor work ethics of some pharmacy personnel to the extent of encountering blatant rudeness by several pharmacy employees. I have also witnessed bewilderingly inefficient behind counter procedures. One time I received a script in which the pill count was short. To managements benefit however, this most serious issue was professionally addressed and immediately corrected. I also commend the store as a whole as attention to such issues is obviously being made. The service quality and professionalism has come a long way since store opening and continues to progressively improve.As a regular customer I have come to know a few employees well enough to engage in casual conversation. Generally speaking there are some very nice folks working there, cashiers in particular who are excellent front line Rite Aid representatives.

The pharmacy staff is very judgmental and discriminated me about the medication I’m on I was told two different stories (lies) as to why they couldn’t fill my prescription and when I asked for their policy they claimed they had they stopped answering the phone when they rudely hung up on me! I will never go there and don’t recommend this store to anybody! Even the one time I went in here the guy cashing people out wasn’t very helpful or friendly! Miserable place and miserable people! Not customer friendly at all!

This honestly was the first terrible experience at rite aid I have had. One they offered me no help towards trying to find my appointment. Then while I was in the store numerous pharmacist made unprofessional comments towards me mocking me as I was on the phone explaining how no one was willing to help. My job is literally endanger and they made a smug remark about how everyone is like that… worst experience in my life

This pharmacy is absolutely horrible. They will have you standing there waiting (acting like they don't see you) until you get so frustrated you have to literally raise your voice and wave your hands to get someone to the counter. Then your prescriptions are never ready when they are supposed to be. I came in to refill three prescriptions and was told it would be 20 minutes. An hour later I approached the counter, had to yell for service again, and was told they hadn't even started to work on them yet! Then today I called in my refills at 9 am, the system said they would be available at 1145. I showed up at 1pm because I know this place. Again I stand there for 10 minutes, the only person in line mind you, just to have them tell me it will be 15 minutes because they are still working on them. One is an over the counter med that I get prescribed so my insurance pays and the other an extremely common anti-depressant. Easy to fill, I've gotten both for over 15 yrs, always the same. I advise anyone in need of a pharmacy to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

This place is totally unacceptable. ..more than once I've called to see if a prescription was ready and was told yes only to show up and it wasn't done! I sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes today because my daughter's antibiotic wasn't ready when I called 1 hour prior to picking it up! Cars were backing up behind me and every other employee completely ignored us until the original employee came back 20 minutes later! I had a sick child in the back seat that needed her meds. ..I will be transferring my prescriptions Monday morning!

I’ve used this pharmacy for a very long time. 1) nice customer service 2) convenient and fast. Lately, the later is anything but true. Dropped a prescription off last week on my lunch break..went back after work, it wasn’t ready. Went back the next morning, still not ready. I went two days without my meds bc of this. Understandably, things as such happen from time to time, so I gave another chance. This morning I went in to pick up a prescription that I dropped off last night at 5:30 pm. It wasn’t ready and I was told to give them 15 minutes, which I don’t have since I am on a schedule. This store is no longer convenient or speedy, so I have to take my business elsewhere.

This store suffers from typical corporate skeleton shifts. A busy store that isn't properly staffed because at the corporate level they don't think having extra staff on is necessary. It isn't always a good place to just run in and get something quick, as there are only so many employees and it's within walking distance (and directly next to the bus depot) so they get a lot of traffic.The pharmacy also suffers from a quadra-fecta of extenuating circumstances as well. They're the only pharmacy on main street, the one closest to the hospital, right next to the bus depot and have both up front registers and a drive-thru. This is compounded with them also being understaffed. Do not expect to get your prescriptions here right away or even right when you walked in unless they were called in a day or two prior.That being said, this store is full of some of the nicest and most helpful people you will meet, especially under the circumstances. You typically don't run into the retail exasperation here (where the employees are so fed up with the ins and outs of the job they take it out on the customers). If you're willing to wait and aren't in a hurry, then by all means make a stop here. The store is nice (clean and brightly lit) and the employees are as well, if not a bit busy.

Worst pharmacy in butler. They are slow,rude and don't follow hippa laws. I once was told from across the room they wouldn't fill my script. They called the hospital. To tell them I had a script for the similar med that was already gone. Very unprofessional. I should have sued for the hippa violation.

Waited for some time to checkout - cashier nowhere in sight. Patrons getting annoyed and started searching the store for a clerk. Cranky man came up to check patrons out. 👎

Unhappy with the pharmacy. Couldn't get my non narcotic medication refilled 3 days early so I could take a trip out of town to visit my dad. My insurance covers it a week before the refill is due and 2 other pharmacies said they could do it for me. Also, the last time I dropped off paper scripts and waited in the waiting area the pharmacist came to the counter and said "your scripts are ready" and when he rang me up I noticed my copay was way too high. It was because they were giving me somebody else's medication and if it weren't for the higher copay I would of walked out with somebody else's meds. I'm switching pharmacies to avoid any more problems.

I had a really good experience at this store. I had to get a tetanus shot and the pharmacist male (Stephen) was very helpful and made my day. He was so sweet and caring, I would definitely recommend this store to anyone else!

This is the third time I have asked to have my prescription home delivered and this is the third time they did not mark it as set up for home delivery, why offer a service if you cannot commit to actually doing it, wanted me to wait 4 days without my blood pressure pills as they only deliver on mondays and Thursdays, think we will be changing pharmacies very soon, my mother has also had problems with them too.
