Brought our new pup Ginny to see Dr Karner and Dr Medarac- great experience both times. Receptionist was friendly and quick with check in. Techs were so sweet to our scared pup- made her feel at ease with treats and lots of attention. Both drs are very knowledgable and compassionate towards patients- will continue to bring her here for the best vet care. Great staff and awesome doctors! 🐾

Charged me almost $300 over quoted price for spading my dog. No explanation or correction.Doctors gave conflicting information on medication they prescribed.I left a detailed message for a refill I needed it the next day. Staff was very unpleasant when they called me back at the end of the next day and messed up the quantity.I watched in horror, them send away a panicked couple that brought in their dog that was hit by a car. Another Fur parent had to tell the couple where to go because all they told them was it’s the end of the day we can’t help you. They gave no assistance - that was very hard to watch. 😢Love my fur babies too much to stay here!

The exceptional care and concern that is offered is beyond any expectation i could have had. Dr. Karner and her staff have taken my pets problems as their own. I couldn't be more content in finding such an exceptional team to resolve and better the longevity of all my feathery friends. I am so pleased in accidentally finding this veterinarian clinic years ago and will continue to keep going.

Awesome local vet that we're happy we found. The staff is very nice and our appointments are usually on time which is extremely helpful for maintaining schedules. The doctor is truthful and there's never a feeling of pushing something on you, I always feel like I'm getting the straight answer. Def a good find.

We have been taking our Yorkie here for over 2 yrs. The vet is great and our pup loves the techs. They are very kind and knowledgeable. They're prices are reasonable and we have the ability to have him groomed here as well.

We had to come to the difficult decision of putting our rat to sleep after she had faced a lot of medical issues and Muddy Creek couldn't have been more helpful! They were super busy, but they were able to squeeze us into an appointment and gave us all the time and care we needed. Highly recommend

I took my kitten here to get her shots and vaccines. We were taken back into one of the patient rooms and after checking my cats ears, they took her out of the room and I was in the patient room alone for about 5-10 minutes. When the vet brought her back in, we chatted for a few minutes and then she informs me that we are good to go. I ended up paying almost $120 for services that I don't even know were administered or not. A few weeks later I decided to go with a different vet for getting my cat fixed and to my surprise, that vet disclosed to me that Muddy Creek was way off the mark regarding my cats age and even weight. I'm disappointed that I wasted me and my cats time here. I knew there was sketchy business going on the way the vet tried to push Frontline for ticks and fleas on me when I showed her the product I use has the same ingredients as Frontline. This is what happens when practices turn into businesses and the focus is more on money than patients well-being. 2 stars because the secretary was a sweetheart.

I wouldn't recommend!Their website states that they have "daily emergency visits available"... they Do Not!Staff offered absolutely no compassion for my animal or our situation. The receptionist deemed my pets situation as unimportant and didn't even offer to try to schedule us. When speaking to a pet owner who is trying to get their animal help I would expect some compassion or empathy but I was offered none.They will offer you an excuseabout the vet taking on a new clinic and being unable to handle the patient load.

Dr. Karner and the staff at Muddy Creek have been good to me and my cats from day one. Being able to have home-euthanization is such a blessing when we are struggling to say goodbye to a member of the fur-mily. The staff are all friendly, informative, and I know I am getting the best insight and care options for my pets.

The vet I saw was fine, but the staff is the most disorganized and incompetent staff I've ever witnessed anywhere. With the exception of Dawn, they are also very rude and showed no concern for the well being of my 12 year old dog with a heart condition.1. Pulled up another client's dogs records. Didn't realize it until after I said I have five dogs with you and you have all of their records. Ok... new client... forgave this one.2. Asked for a prescription for elderly dog. Didn't get it. Very difficult process to get prescriptions and meds.3. Prescribed him another med that made him worse. Took five days and 8 phone calls to get them to understand what was happening with him. Their answer? Another, additional med.4. They called that additional med is ready and said I am to ween him off the first med. Ok? How? I ask. Should I reduce the dose or the frequency? Oh... I'm not sure, I'll have to call you back.That was the last straw. Called to cancel future appointments and get their records. Dawn was very very nice about this.Realized I can't get an appointment in time for new prescription for my dog's heart (controlled substance cough suppressant) Sent an email asking for the prescription. Was rudely responded to. "We can't schedule Arthur because the owner put a note on him not to schedule." Just like all of the rest, don't listen or read what is being asked. Called and said I was only asking for a prescription that I asked for while I was there. Was told she would ask the doctor.This is a dogs medication, it shouldn't even be a question. He was seen and he needs the medication.To be fair, they sent me a refund of one office visit on their own volition, but this does not make up for the incompetence and rudeness. Vets may be good vets, but the organization is horrible.

Everyone at Muddy creek is amazing - from smiling faces when you enter the front door, to the vet techs to the doctors. Everyone treats you and your pet with kindness and respect. We wouldn't take our pup anywhere else!

This doctor and her staff were extremely professional and considerate when helping us with in home euthanasia for our beloved dog. Our family would absolutely recommend them. Also, the cremation service came with a lovely carved wood urn and the staff mailed us a signed sympathy card. Much appreciated!

Edited: How was it? I wouldn't know, I scheduled an appointment on June 8th, for June 24th, because that was the closest date they had available that fit my time frame. I showed up today at my scheduled appointment time, and they said I didn't have an appointment. Not sure how this happened, definitely doesn't give off a great first impression. I will update my review after my next appointment for next week.Ok so now that my next appointment wasn't erased, I was able to get in for a visit. Seemed like a nice enough place, definitely seemed to be knowledgeable.I would give them a higher rating, but they gave me paperwork for a one year rabies shot, instead of a 3 year booster, even though he had his tabbies tag on his collar. They said I needed my paperwork from his previous shot, which I didn't need when I took home to a different clinic 3 years ago. The clinic I previously went to (vip vet clinic through tractor supply) said the rabies collar tag was proof enough to give me 3 year paperwork, so I didn't take his previous shots receipt with me for this visit. I understand it's a policy, and they were doing there job, not mad about it, its just slightly annoying.So all in all, it's a nice place, it's clean, with nice people, and fair prices, but don't expect top of the line technology, or top notch paperwork/book keeping.I would recommend this establishment for anyone who doesn't care to pay outrageous prices for a regular vet.

We called to set up an appointment to have our guinea pig seen. The receptionist had to ask the vet if they would even see her. She called back and said that they did not have an appointment for 2 weeks. When well called back the next day, they absolutely refused to even schedule an appointment for her to be seen. Citing that 'they were too busy' and were backlogged. The website states that they see guinea pigs but we have our doubts. We have never heard of ANY vet refusing to schedule a patient. Just absurd!

My dog got some quills stuck in his nose from a porcupine. Muddy creek got me in the next day and I was not a regular customer but I am now. Their prices are really reasonable compared to the other place I was going . My other vet said they could not get me in for 2 1/2 weeks unless I came through the emergency.no thanks,

Iv just started using this vet got my cat patches his shots and neutering done very friendly and nice what I want couldn't find my appointment for my first time around but instead of sending out the door like any other place that probably would they made a point to make sure we was able to be seen definitely going to be coming back here for a long time and I will bring my dog next time too

Recommended that we euthanize our dog who had a tumor on her belly that needed removed, perfectly healthy otherwise. This was after having her surgery scheduled for 2 weeks. Took her to Dr. Lash in kittanning they took her in almost immediately and removed the tumor with no issues. They were completely appalled by Muddy Creeks actions.

Not sure why we never used them before. I will be bringing all my traditional animals there from now on! When we reached our wits end and thought there was nothing more we could do....the staff at muddy creek were willing to help us! They went above and beyond to fit in my untraditional animal! We were not able to save peanut but knowing we did everything we could with the help of these awesome folks makes the burden easier to carry! I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Barb and team at Muddy Creek. I transferred about about 1 year ago. I am so glad I did. This was a tough year for my fur kids and I lost my heart dog, but through it all, I felt like Dr. Barb was genuine, caring, compassionate and helped me with difficult situations. My dogs' care and comfort is always in the forefront. Money is not a decision maker for my animals' care but it is nice to know that the charges Muddy Creek are fair and often less expensive than the other vet I used to use. No one wants to go to the vet more than they absolutely must, but when life throws those situations that you must go, its so much easier when you feel the passion and genuine concern for your dog's care they provide. Dr. Barb is currently helping me make the life of my 13 + year old labradoodle the most it can be. He is even back to playing Frisbee.I am updating my post because it is necessary to let the readers know that I have experienced even more of their kindness. My 13 1/2 year old Lab started having some serious issues and I consulted with Dr. Barb and she helped us bring my Einstein back again. His quality of life is extraordinary and he still jumps into the pool and chases frisbees. Dr Barb emailed daily during the treatment when he was not doing well just to make sure we were ok. You tell me another vet that cares like that. When I visit for other pets, they ask me how is Einstein is doing. Personal service with genuine concern. If they had a rating better than 5, I would easily give it to them.

Muddy creek Animal Clinic is the best veterinary establishment. The staff are the friendliest and informative. I don't have enough great words to describe Dr. Barbra Karner. I have visited other establishments and this is the best place around. They all are so kind, caring, professional and exceptional at their jobs. The are number one from an office visit to your pet having to have surgery. Everyone should have them as their pets doctor. Thank you all at Muddy Creek.Pam and Terry Kradel (very satisfied clients)
