I like the contents of the store and its location. It is close to my home. But the employees need to stop badgering customers when they enter the store. From the time you enter the store to when you reach the back of the store, 3 employees are in your face. Sometimes they will follow me. This has to stop, or I will drive past it and head to Home Depot. It's nice to have someone there to ask a question, but the way it is today is ridicules.

They have so much in this store and I was pleasantly surprised that it has a lot of home goods... I guess I was thinking of it just being tools and such but I could've went crazy in here buying stuff for my house

Great selection of fasteners, screws, nails and washers etc! Reminds me of a store that used to be in the same plaza. I looked for a specific self tapping screw at 2 of the big box stores to no avail. BOOM...ACE had them! Camping, grilling, electrical, plumbing, paints and more. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Worth checking out. Will be back.

I wish I could give them more than five stars.... Well, I guess by giving them a good review is a way of giving them more props so to speak.Anyways, the customer service was outstanding... They went beyond 100%. For example: there were flowers for sale outside, your choices were a bundle of four for$2.99 so we bought two of those instead of the other choice which was one round pot with one red flower each potted flower cost $4.99, well when we got home my mother realized the gentleman that rung us up put in the wrong code and charged us for the round potted plant... So, my mother simply called the store told the manager what had happened, and the money was returned to my mother's card. So they could have made us come up there and proved that we bought the square container that had four separate but combined as a group flowers to the store with the receipt etc. Which would have been a pain because we had already potted them so I'm potting them would have been a bit of a pain in the bum so to speak and not good for the plants/flowers... Not only did they trust us, our word, but they also gave us no hassle. The customer service in the store was awesome! They didn't just tell us what aisle what we were looking for was in the customer service rep. Actually walked us to the area / aisle and ask us exactly what we were looking for?.. for some people, customers that might seem just a simple gesture, but to me as well as my mother were able to find exactly what we needed instead of searching around and maybe overlooking it? Point is, the Ace hardware store we went to was a very pleasant experience we were in and out thanks to the customer service being much more than just adequate.

I walked in and was greeted while was nice. After I said I was just browsing the employee said over the radio keep eye on guy in starwars shirt and i Didn't appreciate being followed around by 2 employees while I was browsing.

Nice little store. And close to home too. They had what I needed i didn't have to look elsewhere. They really are quite attentive to customers every person you see asks you if you need help. I think a lot of people forget this store is here, but I still like to come here because it is closer to home than any other place. They have a new location i believe in Evans city now too. I would like to check it out sometime too it looks pretty nice on main street.

Always have what I'm looking for at an reasonable price. They carry hardware, paints, grills, plumbing, electrical, gardening, automotive items, cleaners, polishers, lighting, ETC. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. Handicap parking and access.

Great customer service indeed!! Was shopping all over for colored sand for grandkids sandbox, couldn’t find it anywhere. Called Ace and they ordered it for me! The only store that offered to order it!! I was impressed at the efficiency and politeness that I was shown!! Thank you Ace!

I had a good experience at ace hardware of butler. Everyone was very friendly and polite. I was treated liked my business mattered to them. They didn't have what I needed bit I understand that different stores sell different products. It was not a problem for me not finding what I needed. I would definitely go back and shop if I was in the area and needed something from the hardware store. I would also like to apologize to the owner Cameron Boadamer for making him think I had a bad experience which I Did Not have. I got preoccupied with the task I have at hand and didn't write a review. I also want to thank Cameron Bodamer for his very prompt and apologetic response to my rating. Sorry again Cameron Bodamer. Outstanding hardware store. Clerks are friendly and helpful and readily available. I'll go here every time instead of Lowes and/or HD. Keep up the great work that we so seldom see in other stores. Anyone who hasn't had the experience of visiting this store should try it.
