Place looks terrible and not well maintained. Broken sidewalks, rooflines, exterior entrance door locks, walls, and hall lighting. Everything here needs to be fixed. Including the electrical in the rooms. But the room was clean! Which was the only reason we stayed.Noteworthy details: The staff were very friendly, breakfast was standard fare and nothing notable except that it was there. Many hotels are limiting their breakfast offerings but this place still had juice, sausage, eggs, cereal, and beverages. And the room was immaculate! Great job to housekeeping staff!

The rooms are much better than the outside and lobby would lead you to believe. I was on the first floor which made it convenient to sit on the lawn and have access to my vehicle directly in front of my room. Note that you do need to access the room door from inside the main hallway. The convenient location is a double edged sword as I could hear a bit of interstate traffic. I travel with good ear plugs so no problem for me. The AC was very good and kept the room down right chilly. The bathroom was functional with strong stream of hot water, but it is quite dated.

Person at desk ran my cc I used to confirm reservation without asking. I have never had that done to me. It was not the cc I wanted to use.Hotel literally smelled. It was dirty. I don’t think the shower was cleaned at all. Garbage can under vanity sink because sink was dripping. When we ran faucet the drain was backed up. There weren’t outlasts by vanity or ironing board. Trash on balcony. We slept on top of bed. In hindsight we should have left but had met up with family from Georgia and it was late by the ti e we went back to our room. Discovered most things late and in morning. It was so nasty. Can’t believe I was charged $74. They should have paid us that amount to stay there!Unacceptable

Very good for the price. Room was clean, fresh smelling, and pretty spacious. Bed was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly ambitious with eggs and sausage on the steam tray but not perfectly executed. Wi-Fi was unusable in our room. Some common areas smell moldy but our room smelled fresh. AC was good.

We were happy to discover this Rodeway Inn and will definitely stay again. We met others that stay here whenever they are in the area, and have done so for years, and that says a lot. It has a simple, family atmosphere, reminds me of the small motels I stayed in decades ago. The management is kind and accommodating, and treated us like family. They had a free full breakfast (although they advertise only a Continental breakfast), the rooms are clean, the nice TV had a wide variety of cable channels -- and it was an amazing price: $45 for that night! We could not find a room inside or around Cook Forest on Memorial Day weekend on Saturday (May 28 2022), and the rooms that would have been available, for miles around, would have been quite expensive. Although the hotel is right off of Rte 80, the area is not congested, and the back of the hotel looks onto a yard and trees. There was a small balcony attached to the room, overlooking the quiet greenery. We parked right by our room and the stairs. The others who stayed told us of their memories there. One man said it used to be a Howard Johnson's and he stayed there back then. The room was quiet and likely well-insulated. But the entire area was pretty quiet anyway. We slept well. Just a humble little "motel" - but for us, it was happy find !

If you're only looking for one night's good sleep, then this is not a bad choice. However, if you're staying for several days you might just find something better. Rooms weren't very clean, but the beds were, and that's what matters, right?Included breakfast was so, so, but the orange juice was actually surprisingly good. The hallways smelled like smoke, but we were able to live with it for one day and you will probably as well. But again, it was dirty; the bathtub/shower was clogged, there were hairs in the bathtub, and the toilet was dirty. The only reason it gets 3 stars and not 2 is the cheap price.

Stayed at this place for a night while passing through on a road trip. Called ahead to make sure they allowed pets and they said there would be a 10 pet fee which is fine. He said the stay would be 59 with everything. Got there and the room ended up being 80. Whatever we just needed a place to sleep. The rooms were very dirty. I had a hole in the blanket on my bed which was odd. I included some pictures of our nasty room. The beds were fine. This place is ok for a place to sleep but id rather just slept in my car. The doors to the outside were not locked from the outside. The key swipe thing seemed to be broken so anyone could come in. Just do your self a favor and stay at a different hotel.Rooms: Dirty AFSafety: Broken doors to enter the building allowing just anyone to come in.

The location was easy to find and had ample parking near the front office for check-in as well outside of the main entrance. Check-in was quick and easy with professional and attentive staff. The rooms are mindfully designed for their size and are equipped with efficiency supplies. There is 24/7 access to a fully stocked vending, soda and ice machine near the front entrance. With a hot breakfast bar served from 6:30-9 am it is perfect for a sunrise breakfast view. Staff was fully attentive, replenishing supplies as needed. Don’t forget to grab some fresh squeezed orange juice before check-out at 11 am! Overall a great efficiency and quality stay - would definitely recommend and will stay again.

The hotel is very good. The check in/out process was smooth and quick. The old lady at the front desk was polite, professional and helpful. The room was clean and had a big balcony with outstanding view. It is a quit place that help to recharge and be fresh on the next day. My little daughter slept like an angel there. Moreover, they served breakfast in the morning which is rare at this time of Covid restrictions. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

Very clean, nice decorations, the owners take great care and pride in their hotel. I noticed they respond to every review too which is quite rare. It's not the newest or flashiest place, but wow it's outstanding for the price!I even got breakfast and fresh coffee. That's 5 stars in my book any day.

Floor was dirty. Bathtub.... I think maybe someone tried a rough repair job on the drain. It looks bad. The outside and general appearance looks like they have to quite a while ago.Bed was comfortable.Shower was hot.It is very close to the highway.

Considering the price, this hotel is not any more or less than what you might expect. Props for the friendly staff (who didn't blink an eye at two queers sharing a single bed room), visually clean spaces, generous parking, and updated bathroom. Minor annoyances were the mid-level comfort of the bedding, no additional pillows, and the dirty patio/balcony. A more significant issue was the pervasive smell of smoke (in a non-smoking reservation), and maybe the lack of reliable internet.I'd stay here again in hopes of getting a less smelly room, tbh.

Excellent place! Very clean. Front desk staff was super kind and helpful. Cleaning staff came by, hooked up fresh towels took old ones and took our garbage! Extremely nice and friendly! Highly recommend. Will def stay here again when we are in the area!

OMG! Where do I start. Staff was cool, acknowledged me as platinum member, but then I went to the room. Halllways wreaked of some ungodly stuff being cooked in the rooms by the residents and pot. My room was just as bad. The smell was an awful combination of something cooked and something spoiled. The bed spread was filthy, stained with some kind of substance and black stuff with a cut that was sort of stitched together. The furniture was incredibly stained - all of it. The room needed vacuumed. There were bottle tops, dirt, dried rice, cords and the TV guide on the floor. The walls, cords and lamp shades were yellow like someone had been smoking for 20 years. Lamp shade and blow drier in pieces and not operational. Shower walls covered with mold stains. I have pics, wish I could upload them. I was supposed to stay 8 nights, but could only stomach 2. I had to leave for another hotel. How the hell this hotel could be part of Choice is beyond me. Terrible.

I have memories of this building since it was built as a Howard Johnson's in 1968. Both of my brothers and my sister in law worked there as night auditors. I was back in Brookville to help settle my mom's estate and I booked a week stay. The outside of the building is showing its age and the ceiling in the common area on the second floor gave me pause, but my room was clean and comfortable . The first night, I called the front desk for help turning on the shower. ( My rule in life is if I have to force something, I'm probably doing it wrong). Within 10 minutes, someone was at my door to check it out. The last night of my stay, someone had music so loud I couldn't hear my TV over the din. Within 3 minutes of a call to the front desk, the noise was gone. My week at Rodeway was enjoyable, and the price couldn't be beat.

Was a little concerned when we first drove up because the outside is very outdated and needs work. When you walk into lobby it's still gives you the cheap motel vibe. So was very surprised when we got into our room they were very nice. We did check the beds no bugs. The back balcony railing made me a little nervous with kids and should be checked but all in all it's a great place. The breakfast was ok the coffee was pretty good.

Paid for a room for myself, my cousin and our two small children. We were given a room in the basement. Immediately noticed there were bugs all over the floor at the bottom of the stairs and the ceiling was falling through in the hall. Despite that it was late and we just wanted to sleep. We get to the room and there were spiders all over in the corners of the room and above the ac/heater and to top it off the one bed had what looked to be blood (?) on the pillow and sheet. I went back upstairs and was assigned a different room. Went into next room and noticed there was hair all over the one beds pillow case and the sheets. I walked upstairs again and politely asked for a refund. I explained the uncleanliness of SECOND room and that we just didn't feel safe staying because it seemed like the rooms weren't really cleaned. I was promised the manager would call me the next day, still haven't gotten a call, and that a refund would be issued in 5-7 days. It has now been 11 days and no refund. I've called three time to check the status and have been promised it would be returned by 7 days at the longest. Now today I was asked to call again tomorrow to speak to the owner. Absolutely ridiculous. On a side note, the woman who works the front desk is very kind and helpful. I think the issues are out of her control and thought it was worth noting.

I already paid through Priceline and was somehow double charged at check in. The extra charge was refunded but I'm not sure why they couldn't see that I had paid already. The room was nice and clean. We really enjoyed the private balcony. The bathtub is ancient and needs to be updated. The toilet was position in a weird angle and we had a fine laugh over that. I liked that the location was in walking distance of a Dollar General and Sheetz.

Made reservations late morning to arrive between 5 and 6pm. Staff was polite, only reason for the 2 stars. Although when approached with the lack of cleanliness, I heard "I'm sorry" and "I'll need to leave a note for the manager".I would have been upset if it was just me. However the entire trip was for my 81 year old mother, to make it easier for a procedure she needed to have done early in the morning. I called other hotels/motels while sitting in the room with no luck.Upon telling them the room was so cold, and the fact that I called other places with no luck I was offered the room next door. Upon checking it, it was cleaner but still very cold, our actual room was warmer now. Hence we stayed where we were.A woman did come around in the morning to see if we were checking out today. Of course, I didnt even think at this point to ask her to come in the room and look.Upon checking out, they did not mention a thing to me. I didnt have time to address them as I needed to get my mother something to eat, pills and help her dress. In a month we will be making the same trip.

Well I was down there last week very disappointed the heater went out in the room you wouldn't think you need it in the Panhandle but it took him 4 days to fix it. Then the refrigerator rattled all night they never fix that but the maid service was okay the front desk was nice they're very nice and telling you what you want to hear but overall a little just satisfied don't know if I'd stay there again

This place just saved my life, at 11pm, in July, driving from Chicago to NYC, couldn’t find any accommodation. Exhausted I just exited the highway and got lucky. Found a room at the Rodeway inn. The gave me a huge 4 beds room just for me and discounted the price! Absolutely amazed. Rooms are clean, it’s incredibly cheap, owners are cute and caring.I loved this place. They made my day. If you’re traveling and you’re tired, this is the place for you! Also big parking!
