This is my favorite fish store and it’s 110% because of the owner who is very kind and knowledgeable about fish. He’s always happy to help, and even said I can always call him with questions. I’ve never had an issue with any of his fish, except once when a molly I brought home died the next day when the other mollies I bought at the same time were all fine. He replaced it for me without me even asking him to. I’m always in there asking him for advice since I only started fish keeping a few months ago, and he is always super welcoming and happy to answer all my questions. I think he appreciates when people want to learn more.It makes me sad to see another review on here of some guy blaming the owner for the loss of all his fish at home when he didn’t quarantine so it was his own fault. If your fish really mean something to you, you should be quarantining new fish no matter who you get them from.

We have been customers for many years. The owner is very knowledgeable & always willing to share his expertise. He truly cares for his customers & his products. The tanks are always clean. Wide variety of fish that change regularly. If you see something you want, buy it bc he doesn't keep fish long. If you wantsomething in particular, he will order it in. Purchased many fish, never any issues. If any issue arises, owner will honor return policy, if your water test within good perimeters. Purchased our female rope fish several months ago. She is very active & eats excellent. Unlike most rope fish, she is very personable. Only purchased her for our son but she has become my favorite fish in our tank.

Everything you will need for your aqua equipment. The owner is very, very kind, and knowledgeable. Heard he has a great turtle selection if anyone is interested. As well as an awesome fish collection.

I like this fish shop. It’s not a saltwater shop, so it’s geared towards the type of fish I like. Majority of the tanks have real plants to keep the nitrates down and the fish healthy. It’s a not a box store shop and it’s a nice privately owned shop. The owner is helpful in letting you know what’s compatible and what isn’t compatible together. He likes to use the phrase, “ just because they can live together, doesn’t mean they should”. This is VERY true when building a cichlid tank. The cichlids he has are very rich in color. I’d like to see more cichlids stocked, but that’s not a problem because if you want something, you can call him up and he can get it within a few days. Picking up my Red Dragon Flowerhorn on a Tuesday. Another thing is he sells all types of rock / coral by the pound @ $2.99, which is great for someone setting up a large tank. If you go to a box store, you’ll probably pay $14-20 per rock. It’s still expensive, but when you add it up, you might pay $300 for 100/lbs of rock @$2.99 but your going to spend double or triple that if you have to buy each piece individually at a box store. It’s nice to go into a fish store and get real knowledgeable answers and not guesses from high school box store employees who don’t know squat about fish keeping.

If your looking for beautiful, healthy fish or aquatic plants, this is definitely the place to go. Filter supplies and really cool aquarium stones for decoration. All different kinds. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Eager to help with any questions. I was very happy with my purchases and will definitely be going again!

Read reviews and as most mentioned, owner is very knowledgeable and super friendly. He explained everything my husband and I needed to know and will be helping us to successfully set up our tank. He offered to do weekly water tests and guide us all the way through at no extra charge. You can tell he loves his job and cares that the fish purchased from him will be well taken care of. We are about 45 minutes to an hour away depending of traffic. Totally worth the drive!

Great little spot and friendly owner. Nice variety of fish and supplies. The only thing I took off points for is that most of their fish are pretty grown. Some hobbyist prefer this but others may also be looking for younger fish to throw in their tanks and watch them grow.Will def be back. Def worth the visit.

Great selection of freshwater fish and plants. Owner is really nice and super helpful, packed with information! I think he said he’s been at it for over 30 years. Store is clean and everything looks nice, a real “mom and pop” type atmosphere but with a wide variety of stuff available. I think the prices are fair and there’s definitely some deals. Really can’t say anything bad about it. The fish and plants I got there are doing great, and I will be back!

We are new to the area we've only been up in this area for two years and stumbled upon this little gem! Quentin couldn't be more helpful he saved probably 35 of my fish lives!! Definitely worth a stop especially if you really want to know how to take care of an aquarium and fish!

Best fish store around. The guy in there is very knowledgeable and friendly. Will try to help you out the best he can. They have some very nice fish in there as well. Prices are reasonably fair. I highly recommend checking this place out!!

Not professional at all, I called him to sell him my fish because I’m moving out of the states and he sets up a day to meet and never showed up he stood me up twice I took off work and all the first time he said it was a family emergency in newyork I understand things happen but than the second time he just bluntly forgot about meeting me but knows I took off work to do this because the fish are of value! I Would never recommend this place I went with a place in Jersey and they came out the same day I called them and bought my whole lot of fish!! Wish I called the other place before I gave this place a chance. Good luck if you want someone professional. ✌🏼

IDK what happened here, but the tanks aren't taken care of the best. Last time I went a could years ago, I was kind of amazed. Now, just about a month ago the store seems to have gone down hill. Dirty tanks and sick fish all over. I only seen 3 tanks that looked good. The cylinder by the front door, and two on the back wall.

Dirty unkempt fish tanks, everything is expensive. I was there when a Customer brought back fish he purchased earlier the same day,they all died,water was fine after it was tested,owner still found a problem,he got no refund at all,I left will not be back

The place looked like a hole in the wall and appears to be dirty,however, The man I spoke to behind the counter (I don't know if he was an employee or the owner) was very knowledgeable and helpful. He did seem to have a wide selection of fish however he was short on some he said due to shipping issues during the pandemic which I can totally understand. He has a wide selection of plants as well as fish and overall I would recommend going there

Drive an hour each way to get here. Carries a nice selection of fresh water fish, stuff you wouldn't ever see at big box stores. I always call ahead to ask about inventory just because of the drive. Fish are on the more expensive end but you get what seems to be quality stock. Owner is very friendly, knowledgeable and all the tanks are very clean.

The owner is very knowledgeable and helped us pick out a very nice selection of fish for our 20 gallon tank. Would absolutely recommend getting your fish here rather than from 'generic pet stores' you pay a bit more but so worth it!

Fantastic little store. Haven't done much business with them but am planning on doing more in the future. Fish seem to all be well kept and not over stuffed into tanks, and all healthy and active.
