Generally, the store is so cluttered that you can't even walk down the majority of the aisles. The cashiers usually are either completely indifferent of the customers or are too distracted by them to do their job. Today (a Sunday morning) I was pleasantly surprised to find an older woman working who was polite, friendly, and helpful. It was a nice change and there should be more staff with that attitude.

Grant it isles may be cluttered sometimes, and the cashier may not be "just standing" at the register all the time, but that is so the employees can try to stock the shelves so you can find what you need. This also allows for some things being moved out of the isles so everyone can move around. Staffing is better than it was allowing for stock to get put away quicker. Most times the staff are very pleasant, but at times they become irritated or whatever because of other customers being rude. This will definitely make staff rude.. i have worked with the public for 17+ years. Everyone there tries hard to make sure every customer is satisfied and they get what they went for. In time things may change for the brockway store. It also may not be the cleanest, but its not that dirty either, it is OLD.. Be patient with the workers and show kindness, they will give it right back to you as well.. !!!.

This is one of the worst Dollar Generals I've been in. The entrance had a lot of clutter which made it difficult for in and out traffic. Very cluttered and narrow isles. Stocking rolltainers blocking a lot of shelving. It was way too warm in there. Employees standing around doing a whole lot of nothing. The shelves are ridiculous but that's because nothing is put out from the rolltainers. Whom ever the manager is , needs to get a grip on this store. It was NOT a good experience at all. I will be traveling to Brookville or St. Mary's first before I'll stop there again.

The retail prices are decent. Their planograms just seem thrown together. There is no front facing or organization. Just excess merchandise thrown everywhere. It seems as though the company may want to look at their payroll matrix and a lot for more time for merchandising or stocking. With everything being such a disarray it is difficult to find what you want and makes the customer experience frustrating maneuvering around all the excess on the floors or boxes of freight everywhere. Almost makes it feel like everything is closing in on you. I can understand wanting to have as much merchandise per square foot but, I think the planograms should be per store size. Example: larger store can fit an 8 ft run but a smaller store only can fit 4 ft run. You build the planogram for the size of the store. Having 4ft of area and a 8 ft planogram doesn’t work. I have been in retail for 30+years. You definitely have room to improve the customer experience. Clean it up, look at what is being sold, look at the planograms store specific and you will find you will bring more profit to your bottom line and get more inventory turns. So much potential just not enough attention to detail. I believe upper management should tour the stores and work side by side your managers showing them what the overall goal is. Again, so much potential with the inventory mix and prices just need to streamline and pay more attention to detail and you will see how profits would increase with less markdowns.

Over crowded store, It always looks like it's being stocked. Merchandise on the floors. You have to dig through shelves looking for things. You can't get your cart down half the aisles. We won't be back.

I’m hoping the manager of the Brockway store reads this! So you called my fiancé Douglas Schulze about an interview and every time he has tried to call it rings busy no matter what time we call it’s busy constantly. Can you please call him again for the interview. We don’t know what time your at the store so we don’t want to drive the whole way there and waste gas if the hiring manager isn’t gonna he there

I like these stores, but they must have been stocking shelves you couldn't get through to get stuff terribly crowed, they should really find a better time to do this, alot of people were upset, I know money is tight bit a few hrs after store closes would be better, I also noticed their prices have gone up, when you can go to another store and get something for less, all in all do like these stores can find some things you can't find in other stores, thank you

Not so much that i hated this place because its a convenience but the store is a complete mess. You cant get to anything you jeed with boxes and metal racks setting everwhere. That place is gonna have someone get hurt there

I always find this DG to be neat and clean...It's perfect for a town like Brockway. When I'm in the area a few times a year I stop in for a few items. The last time I checked out an older woman got in line after me and I heard her saying to herself "I want to run away". She seemed to be alone but OK. Don't know who she was talking too though.

This store is always a disaster, filthy, a wheelchair cannot go down any iasle's without getting stuck or turn around. The male manager has an attitude.

I truly enjoy shopping there. And I am happy there are more of them popping up where I travel. It's one of those places where you go for one thing and pick up other things along the way.

It is one of the smaller stores but they always make you feel like they know you and make u feel wanted there ..I rather go there then Wal-Mart .employees are wonderful ...

Pretty much everything under one roof. Sadly, corporate office will not build a storeroom so it's crowded on truck days but the employees here go above and beyond to help you.

Poorly stocked shelves. I just bought a gallon of milk. I looked at prices and it was $3.85. When I checked out it was $4.20 for milk. I will be traveling to WalMart or going across the street to the high priced Martinos Bi-Lo for items.

It's great to have a DG in the small town of Sherrodsville. However, they can get by with charging higher prices than the one in New Philly or Delroy bc it's far enough away from civilization. For instance the same can opener there is $5.50 in NP it's $3 something.Just to reiterate though it is nice, clean, and convenient.
