Premise Maid is amazing. The people here are super nice. The ice cream is iconic (don’t sleep on the salted caramel, saltiest ice cream I’ve ever had but it was delicious). They have a bunch of different options.They also have a big chocolate store that’s very aesthetically pleasing. The fudge is reasonably priced. The peanut butter silk pie is to die for and the garden is lovely in the spring and summer.Parking: Parking is easy to find but there isn’t a massive parking lot.

If you like good quality chocolate, Premise Maid is the best. It can be rather expensive but there are definitely things for $2-3 dollars like chocolate pops for kids in fun shapes like motorcycles, fire engines, trains, planes and animal shapes. A good find is going after a holiday, in my case, valentine day, I got lots of great candy for 50% off.

I remember this place from when I was a kid, and it still holds up to my memories. My four kids loved this place and so will yours. The ice cream flavors are unique and flavorful (however they don't allow samples, which is odd) and the varieties of cones and bowls really adds to the experience. The chocolate shop is great too, with a wide variety of both chocolate and other candies. Prices are all reasonable especially in light of the high quality. If you find yourself in the Reading area at all, I suggest you do yourself the favor of stopping in here for a delicious snack or the perfect gift for someone you love.

The ice cream here is so delicious I mean really good! You will love it they have seating inside and outside so in the summer it’s a beautiful place to sit and enjoy! They also have cakes and wow they are amazing the strawberry short cake is oh so yummy and the vanilla loaf cake too! See for yourself it’s really a great spot!!

We've been driving by this place for years and FINALLY decided to stop in and try it.Ice cream is good with a good selection. Chocolates on the other side were interesting, will have to try when we come back. Not a bad ice cream shop to try.

Amazing and magical place! Definitely worth stopping in for some ice cream, baked goods, chocolates, or sweets! We came looking for one item and left with two full bags and an ice cream for each of us, and couldn't be happier with how our visit turned out.The little village of buildings had a distinctly classic vibe, with amazing smells wafting from each area as we explored. There were vignettes along the walls with characters showing the process they use to make their sweets and chocolates, and display cases full of figurines of all kinds. There's plenty of seating space, with indoor nooks and outdoor areas to enjoy your treats.The staff were attentive and sensitive to safety standards, and were extremely helpful despite my embarassingly high level of indecisiveness. They were quick to offer suggestions, and quick to move on if that suggestion didn't hit the mark. No pressure at all, only friendly helpful people!We had a fantastic time, and could imagine this being a favorite spot for a family outing or a treat after a day out. Definitely worth checking out just to see the amazing assortment of goodies, and an absolute must for chocolate lovers! This place is an absolute oasis!

Premise Maid is one of the premier purveyors of fine, hand-made chocolates and sweet treats in the Lehigh Valley. Everything here, including the delectable delights of the bakery and ice cream shop are, as the name wittily implies, made on the premises. There are tasty tidbits galore around for every sweet tooth: white, milk, and dark chocolates with lots of fillings and toppings (or none at all, for the purists) as well as non- chocolate candies. Passing through the bake shop without picking up a mouth-watering morsel is virtually impossible.

I LOVE the Shoppes at Premise Maid!It's about 40 min from me, but I go several times a year;I often buy gifts for people there and I bring many of my friends- local or visiting the area -there because it's such a SPECIAL Set of Shoppes!Not only are the hand-made Chocolates incredible(I'm a DARK Chocolate lover),but their CAKES in the Bakery area are INCREDIBLE!They bake miniatures of each Cake, so you can take home a Variety of Cakes (which is what I often do) - especially if you have company!They also carry small Gift items andIce Cream! There is a very quaint outdoor eating area there.I ALWAYS buy Easter, Valentine and Christmas chocolates, Specialty Candies and Chocolate Pops in all shapes for my Grandchildren there!There are 3 Rooms of Candy there, and Fresh choose your own by the pound Chocolates as well!And they make Delicious SUGAR-FREE Candies, too!The employees are extremely friendly and helpful, too.This is just one of my FAVORITE places to go!

Everytime I go to premise maid, whether for Valentine's or just to get some ice cream or a sweet treat for my girls, it NEVER disappoints.I love all of their candies, all well packaged and look very nice.They are expensive but you get what you pay for!The ice cream side can be a little hit or miss, but otherwise really good cone options too!!Will continue to go here whenever I get a chance.

Everything about this place will satisfy your sweet tooth, a definite go to for chocoholics like me! Amazing cakes and candies in the shoppe! The ice cream is so rich and creamy! They have waffle cones with sprinkles. Everything is so good I can't say enough about it. They also have other items in the shop for sale. It's a great experience for the whole family!

OMG their ice cream is to die for and we now live in Topton like 5-10 minutes down the road. Not good for our waistlines haha you get A LOT of ice cream for the price no matter what you get and lots of flavors to choose from. We love their candy shop too!

We have been visiting the Shoppes of Premise Maid for a long time. Their cakes are usually what I bring to celebrate friends and coworkers birthdays. I always get compliments on them. This time it was my Lady's birthday. She can't do sugar because of some dietary restrictions. We always go get the sugar-free ice cream. I can eat sugar and I have to tell you I think the sugar-free ice cream is very good. You can't tell the difference. So this time I had them make a sugar-free ice cream cake for her. The decorations weren't sugar-free but that doesn't matter since the rest was. She was so surprised and elated at the same time. She couldn't believe how delicious the cake was. Thank you Premise Maid! You made her day extra special.

As we all know, this place is exceptional. The chocolates are perfect, the ice cream is always creamy and flavorful, and the cakes are scrumptious. No need to critique a consistent business such as this. The reason there aren't five stars going up is due to my feeling of lack... one of the young ladies in the cake shop greeted everybody who came and left the shop with a smile, with the exception of this writer. Feeling appreciated and welcome is worth 2 stars. I'm not sure what that was all about! It's too bad...

Had the resplendid fortune of stumbling upon this place, when in the area, while visiting Friends. Made a special trip, the 2ND time, to "The Shoppes of Premise Maid"; as a few hours drive away.The smell and magic aura of the outside draws one in everytimeIt is a candyland of aromas and sights for kids 1 to 92.Great choices of candies of all types. Customer Service good and the candy, chocolate, and gift offerings are unique.The displays are equally fantastic inside as well.I purchased chocolates and candies for Friends; and a Horse- themed wall- décor as well- photo of which, is attached.
