Great workers. Fair prices. In a small town. Checks out everything I love! Even has a deli were you can get your own subs and sandwich’s. Ice cream milkshakes etc. great for getting what you need and getting outa there fast too!

Used to go camping at Fowlers Hollow quite a bit, from '84- 2014. Always looked forward to going to Books Store to get necessities and ice. Such a wonderful old timey place. I remember Mr Book. Always wanted to purchase a firearm from him just to support the business, but the money was never there. So happy the place is still open. Love your whole town

Sweet charming store with most basic grocery items you need plus some extras. Their prices are very fair with special deals like 99c bread. Staff is helpful.

Visited the store while on a motorcycle trip with friends. The store is a gem in rural Pennsylvania. Great selection, excellent quality, friendly staff, and incredibly clean. We called A few minutes before closing, and they promised to stay open for us. We also met the owner, who was remarkably kind to us and helpful. Highly recommend this store.

Great selection of groceries and general goods, good deli selection and local grown produce! They even have soft serve ice cream. The only thing I can even complain about is things are a little pricier than normal, but hey, if you need something it’s probably there!

This store is a gem! Riding my bicycle through Blain this is a routine stop! Excellent sandwiches, produce is beautiful & very clean with an incredible friendly staff!

It's so nice to have a grocery store with a great deli and fresh produce in our little town. They have a nice frozen food section along with other items. Don't forget to check out the soft serve ice cream and milk shakes. When you walk in the door you're always greeted with a Good Morning or Good Afternoon.

Update: since new management and makeover, much better selection and bit better pricing. If not wanting to go far, this is place to go locally. This isn't a typical discount store like Zooks or Skyline, etc. Glad for sporting goods section! Pretty decent make-up of baked goods at register too. Please don't skimp on the icing in those whoopie pies, as that and the size is what sets them apart from other market shelves locally. All in all... Definitely better store now than its been for a long time. Keep up the good work.Several months ago with prior management: expensive but they have made an effort to lower prices. Can of icing was in $5 range and now I saw $3 range. Not cheap but lower than before. Let's face it, the store is good for emergency shopping and lottery. Lady in back with deli was very kind and helpful. Not sure if the store will ever be what it was when Mr Book owned and operated. Wasn't cheap then either. Yet was more of a local convenience store. In their defense, the small Amish/Mennonite stores that have been cropping up are hard to compete with.

I love this store. Whenever I'm in town I stop by. Their subs are weirdly addicting. I live hundreds of miles away, but I'm always thinking of them.Their home made white cheeder was some of the best I've had.

Since the store was bought and under new management the prices have dropped and they have a TON of great selections. They have remodeled the entire store and have made it super easy to navigate. It is wonderful to have a great little store just a little walk away from home and the prices be better than the grocery store. Thank you for making this town store thrive again.
