We had a very enjoyable stay in the Bird-in-Hand Village Inn & Suites, during May of 2023. The location is great for visiting and experiencing Amish country. The Inn itself offers very comfortable accommodation and a very nice breakfast. Rooms are large, clean, and very pleasant to stay in. Bed was comfortable and so was the bathroom. Attractions, restaurants and lots of things to do are just a few minutes drive away. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. We would gladly stay there again, when in the area, and can recommend it whole heartedly!Nearby activities: Nearby attractions and activities are minutes drive away. Nice way to experience Amish Country!

Very lovely Inn. Enjoyed our stay at The Desmond House. Comfortable and beautiful furnishings and well done decorating. Everyone was very friendly and kind, making it even better. Breakfast is very good, beautiful gathering room. Was nice having breakfast and hearing the clippity clop of the horse and buggies on a Sunday morning. Has a front porch with a sitting area where we spent time relaxing and watching for horse and buggies. Must have seen 10 or 15 on a Sunday morning within 20 mins. Looking forward to staying again and experience another unique room.

We spent our anniversary here in October and found the room, and atmosphere so romantic. The breakfast was phenomenal. The people were friendly and helpful. Because of our wonderful experience, we ended up returning in May to try another room. As this is a historic building, noise is greater, things creak, and it isn't shiny and new but that is the charm. It is inviting, warm, and they really made it comfortable. I would love to say it wasn't worth the money just to keep people from our little "find", but that would be a lie. All in all, it is our new romantic get away.

I love this place. My husband and I have stayed here at least 20 times. It's a beautiful historic building with nicely furnished rooms and friendly service.Nearby activities: Located in the tiny village of Bird in Hand, the Village Inn is right in the heart of Amish country. It's near lots of shops and restaurants and Amish buggies pass by all day long .

This is four buildings, three on one side of Old Philadelphia Pike, Route 340, and one on the other, which is where we stayed. It is an historic inn, and an excellent value, considering. The heater/AC is noisy as it cycles on and off, but this can be rectified by simply turning it off when about to go to sleep. The room will be a little cool or warm in the morning, but at least you will not be woken up by it. When you do wake up, you will wake up to an excellent breakfast, served from 7:30 to 10:00, in a charming dining room across the street, by a friendly hostess.

Pros: wonderful suites, great staff, lots of parkingCons: if you have food allergies, your food options are very limited. Also, use the complimentary ear plugs, the road noises are kind of loud

This is my favorite place to stay when visiting this part of Lancaster calendar. We come for a show at Sight and Sound and stay here. The rooms are decorated in an older fashioned style, but they contain all the modern conveniences. Breakfast is wonderful...I love the food and chance to talk with other guests.

I wanted to LOVE this place but unfortunately the attitude of reservations and the noise associated with the room made this stay horrible. At 4 A.M there was a screeching noise which comes when you use the hot water. So I was awakened by this noise with no recourse except to wait for it to go away. In the morning I called reception and received an attitude from the person on the phone. Instead of passing my message onto the "innkeeper" I was told to find the inn keeper and let them know. We'll I didn't check in with the "inn keeper" and quite frankly I have no idea where to find them. 😕 now I find myself with a long drive ahead and a complete headache from this noise pollution. There are many places to stay in this area and after the attitude I received to basically fix the problem myself I decided to instead write this review. Not worth the cost and quite disappointing.....should have stayed anywhere else.

Excellent customer service. Rooms were quaint, but incredibly clean. Loved that coffee, water, and soda was always available for free and snacks were available at night for guests. The property was well kept and had a few areas to plug in electric cars. The room had a refrigerator in the room which was very nice and was walking distance to an amazing bakery. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Came on an off time....very few people staying here, yet I was given a faulty room. This became apparent at 4 A.M when a loud screeching noise woke me and proceeded for 10 minutes. When I contacted the front desk at check out, I was talked over and told to find the innkeeper and complain. Customer service has the word service for a reason. Either transfer me to the innkeeper or at the very least let me finish a sentence! There are so many awesome places to stay where you will be treated with respect. I spent 170 a night and I feel completely ripped off.Rooms: Small and not maintained properly. Very noisy and inconvenient.Noteworthy details: Staff will be nice until you have a problem.... then the attitude 🙄 comes.... customer service is lacking.

This is a beautiful Historic hotel. You can't consider it "outdated" when it's on the National Registry of Historic Places. The staff is welcoming and passionate about what they do. The rooms and common areas are spotless and beautifully decorated. There's free coffee, water, and soda in the lobby at all times. Breakfast was delightful. There's a free bus tour of the Amish farmlands. All in all I paid a little more than I would normally pay for 1 night, but the many free amenities made up the difference.

We stayed in the McNabbe suite. This room is very large. Bed was very comfortable. Next time I will all for an extra pillow, I like mine a little more firm. The jacuzzi tub was great. The fire place does work, would make a winter stay even more romantic. The room is air-conditioned and kept it nice and cool. They have complimentary beverages, and a small fridge in the room. We were give a voucher for breakfast at the bird-in-hand restaurant and smorgasbord. Since it was Sunday it's a smaller selection of food, and there isn't any waitstaff, but this worked well for the two of us. This was the service time we had stayed here. We were in a different room for our previous anniversary. They also gave us a nice chocolate bar for our anniversary. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be coming back again. Always a great experience!

The Village Inn & Suites is located right in the heart of bird in the hand. The room was very nice with a private balcony that allowed relaxing after an evening of sightseeing. The morning breakfast in the sunroom buried each morning and was very good. The snack at night comes from their very own bakery. It was a very lovely experience. For us we truly appreciated the rule of no children under 16. The rooms are clean and well serviced. I highly recommend.

Very nice place, like a bed and breakfast. Our room could have been a little cleaner. Lacks some of the more modern amenities such as more outlets near bed to charge phone. Rooms need some updating (old rugs and upholstery). But..., it's a great location worth friendly staff and nice breakfast...

The most beautiful and authentic place I've ever stayed. The staff is wonderful and every room is sparkling clean. They have an age restriction here so there are no out of control children screaming and running up and down the halls. A wonderful place for a quiet getaway.

This place was awesome! We stayed for one night and booked the Ressler Suit and it was a great room. The hospitality was on point! There was an issue with our fireplace and the maintenance man was very quick and nice to fix the issue. This set the standard of B&B through the roof for me.
