This is my favorite hardware store anywhere. It's stocked with contractor grade tools and supplies and prices are as good as anywhere. I always find something unique there. There's a very friendly atmosphere there too.

Great hardware store, small grocery, and produce store - brooms, pet food, garden tools, animal husbandry, hardware, cordless tools, fasteners, and a host of other Amish-friendly items in the hardware and home goods section. Breakfast cereals, baked goods, seasonal fruits, various milling grades of flour, sugar cane sugar, Brown sugar, table syrup, and snacks.They also sell ice cream in three gallon tub sizes - ... These may or may not for inside a usual freezer. Alongside the ice cream are various other frozen treats.Frequented by Amish, and appears to be staffed by Amish as well - but be respectful, they prefer not to be photographed, so this is not a photo op.Cash is the preferred method of payment, cards not accepted.Also, be sure to check the hours before going - they close earlier than you'd expect on weekends.Great, wholesome, and well stocked with the things you are most likely to need around the house, yard, and barn.

A great Amish hardware store that also sells food from produce to frozen food. A big Dewalt dealer and great prices on hand tools. I like to buy replacement sockets (Dewalt) for only a couple of bucks to replace the ones that either break (Craftsman) or grow legs.

This store has EVERYTHING you could possibly need for home, yard, or apartment. To the left inside of the store is a small, unassuming grocery dept with several hard-to-find items like REAL pretzel salt... everyone is friendly and the prices are right. Make a list so you won't forget anything....

Hardware, pet supplies, gardening supplies ... and some bulk goods and groceries! Sort of "the corner store" for the neighboring Amish families. As of today, 11/20/2020, masks are NOT worn by Amish working here, or their Amish customers. Really disconcerting to see this, as Covid has reached the Amish, too. They feel God takes care of them....but what about us Englishers who shop there? I'll be going elsewhere from now on where it's safer.

Spent a day in Bird in Hand on a road trip. This was my favorite store! Lots of other "manufactured quaintness" shops in the area for tourists, but this was the place the locals driving buggys were doing their shopping for tools, hardware, and groceries. Prices on items I bought (slow vehicle signs, brooms) were lower than online sources, and many products were made locally and of high quality. Now making a list (work gloves, scythe blade, etc) in case I have an excuse to make the 8 hour drive in the future.Be prepared to pay cash (maybe check), no cards accepted, and perhaps a bit of a wait behind customers buying cartloads of bulk groceries.

Nice little Amish hardware store. They also have a small area that sells groceries. Totally old order Amish..people lights, no electricity etc. They only accept cash also.
