Best Amish country resort in the area. Centrally located, ideal for families and couples, petting zoo, indoor & outdoor pools, fish and duck pond, cozy private gazebos, mini golf, excellent buffet restaurant on property, stage theater on property, nearby markets and antiques, nearby ballon rides and all Amish related activities, not expensive at all.

I would like to give 5 stars, however, the room we had was not great. Tiny window near the bathroom, air conditioning facing the bathroom, a dehumidifier that needed to be emptied frequently. This was the building across from the pool. They are short on help, so the room didn't get cleaned all the time (not their fault). The pools and the hot tub needs a good cleaning. The year before we were in the pool house room and it was so much better. All in all we will return but I will be sure to book the rooms more in advance.Walkability: You have the farmers market across the parking lot, across the street there are amish shops. At the hotel you can feed the Koi fish, ducks and goats. There's ice cream places and mini golf.Food & drinks: Bird In Hand Family restaurant and Smorgasbord is right there and the food is always fantastic!

We were seated and place mats were put on a wet table. The waitress called the busboy to dry the table but the wet placematswere left on the table, The waitress asked for our drink order before we sat down. We were having a dinner not the buffet she came with the food and it was warm. I have been here before . and the service was good. We got the bill before we finished the meal. Are they trying to rush us out , there were no lines to get in.

Loved this place so much.However, it is not the same anymore. The indoor pools were cold. Much different than all my other visits. Hot tub was broken. Always got a baked bread due to being a VIP member. Instead got popcorn. Emails were sent after I returned home in August and never got a reply from any of them. They don't care. Very disappointed with this place after going and spending my money there for 9 or 10 visits since 2020

I cannot say enough about what a wonderful place this is. Our vacation was wonderful and thank you to Bird-in-Hand for keeping it affordable. We enjoyed the free ice cream night and the smores night. We loved the hot tub and got in a lot of swimming at the pools, we also had fun at the miniature golf course right there on the hotel grounds.We also enjoyed the bakery and restaurant.We will be sure to come back for another stay as soon as we are able to. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so very pleasurable.

Top notch if you have kids. They have a petting zoo, duck/koi pond, mini golf, big playground, pools, restaurant, grocer, AND bakery/cafe all attached to the inn. You could stay all day and not need to leave, while entertaining your child the entire time.Housekeeping is great. They’re very friendly. Rooms are clean. We stayed near the pool and had no issues with our room (I’ve seen complaints about a humid smell but we had no such issue). It was a little loud during the weekend we stayed, but when we put towels against the bottom of the main door and attached door, it dampened enough of the noise for us.Restaurant is fine - we only did the buffet and it’s a good value, but i thought the food was just okay. With that said, we went every day because it was very convenient. We went across the street to the bakery/cafe. It was good but the service was slow and took so long that we almost left while waiting for our order (it was Labor Day - I don’t know if they were simply understaffed).We will almost certainly stay here again next time we visit. Our toddler had so much fun and I don’t think any other nearby hotels can replicate this experience.

Came here all the time growing up. First time back in 8 or so years. Place is pretty much the same. Love the area and location. I’m giving 5 stars but the only complaint I have is the water in the shower would go cold then steaming hot every time. Staff friendly, pools were clean, room was nice as well. I know this has nothing to do with them but I was super disappointed that the large red building/barn across the street is no longer an antique store. That store was amazing. Now it’s a junky “aged” furniture store with over pricing ikea furniture 😞.

We've stayed at Bird-in-Hand Family Inn twice now, both times with a small organized bicycle group. We prefer the rooms on the motor court that face Old Philadelphia Pike because the shady, grassy area is an excellent place to congregate after the day's riding is finished. Additionally, the double rooms are laid out such that it's easy to bring in a couple of bicycles without moving furniture around; in fact, my wife and I were able to bring our tandem and a single bicycle inside, and it was only necessary to relocate the suitcase stand. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The only shortcomings we noticed were that the water temperature in the shower fluctuates a lot, and the coffee served for breakfast is pretty weak. I look forward to coming again soon.

The staff who work here make the stay a good one. There are many things to do with a family. There is even a show if you eat in their restaurant. The beds are not very comfortable, the bathrooms can't be tinier, and the room needed to have the dehumidifier remain on during the stay. I think this is a place for younger folks with better backs and hips.

Grounds are vast and wonderful! Lots to do..basketball court, big play ground, mini golf, fire pit, tennis court, large lawns, plus 3 pools (1 outdoor, 2 indoor), little game room, restaurant on sight. A lot to keep kids busy. The rooms unfortunately have a bit of a musty/wet odor. Bathroom was very small and had mildew/mold on door frame.

Highly suggested. This does depend on your unique wants/needs. For us, great location, superb interaction and service from staff, room was impeccably clean, shower was walk in with a bench, middle sized fridge, microwave, king size bed, desk. Enjoyed our room overlooking the front law. Some parking had room numbers to assure guests had spots. Free coffee in room and in lobby. As far as I am concerned fits all I was looking for, especially the friendly front lobby staff. Courteous. Able to answer questions about the area. Able to offer both "touristy" options and local suggestions.I have a friend that stays here yearly, he tells me they have ample other things if you want to utilize; shuttle and Pool as an example.Feels like a good base for a stay in this area for sure regardless of your purpose, be it as a base to extend out from be it Hershey (45 minutes) Philly (hour) and general area stops. A Resteraunt on grounds if you so choose. Even a mini golf course behind (we stayed 3rd week of April it wasn't open yet).If we find ourselves in this area again, this will be our choice and the staff here really was beyond wonderful.

It was clean and a good place to stay. A little outdated. Definitely would recommend getting a handicap room if you at all need regular handicap features as the regular rooms are not handicap friendly at all. (No bars by the shower or toilet)It would be a great place to stay with a large group or kids.The pools and hot tub were amazing!They also have an arcade room and pool table and ping pong table.It is close to everything you would want to see in this area.I would stay again.

This place is situated in a nice location. Very close to all of the shopping outlets, and near other attractions, without being too central that it is super busy. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the room was very clean. We only stayed a short time, so we did not try the pool or other facilities or other activities. However, they do offer a pool, there was a mini golf spot on the property, and they offered free tours. They also provided resources for different activities or events in the area. The only thing we ran into, was that we had to use a dehumidifier in the room constantly. Not sure why that was happening, but other than that, it was a nice place to stay!

Bird in Hand is a fantastic place to stay. I really enjoy the clean rooms and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The petting zoo is a great place for kids and there is mini golf and playgrounds as well. I always enjoy staying here.

Rooms are bland, but quiet for most part. At night, some thundering kids were pranking, changing "Do Not Disturb" signs over to "Clean Room".Sink located outside toilet/tub area. Awkward marble shelf was installed directly over water faucet. Only towels were available in toilet area. Towel bar or hoop should be next to sink.Room sign request for cleaning was not seen. Took two calls to get trash removed and towels.Ping pong and pool table area located next to sauna-like pool. Disappointed both were pay items. There was also a pay games room.Location is convenient to other tourists attractions, i.e. farmers market, bakery, shopping.Rooms: See review.There is choice of hotel and motel-type rooms. We wanted a close quick weekend get-away with our kids who are 4 and 1. The pools were great! The room was larger than most hotel rooms. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. My only complaint would be the amount of time it took us to check in (30 minutes from the time I got out of the car and finally into our room) due to the unbelievably slow clerk and the fact that our room keys were not programmed. So I had to go back to the front office building (we stayed in the pool building).
