If you are heading North or South on 28, you have to stop at Sweet Delights Ice Cream! They have a full menu with a variety of ice cream treats and your favorite fast foods. I ordered a medium vanilla ice cream cone. And it was huge!! The flavor was so rich and packed with vanilla flavor. I enjoyed every bite. Plus the staff is friendly, there is plenty of parking, and there is great outdoor seating.

We always try to come here when we are in town. Food is good, but service needs to get better. Thursday we stood in line for over 30 mins. We had several people in front of us when they announced hamburgers wouldn't be ready for an hour. We left after waiting for over 30 minutes in line. Didn't even get to the window to order. They need more help or something.

Love the sundaes at Sweet Delights in Distant PA. We live 5 hours away but when we get to the area this is our must go to place. I give up lunch just to indulge in their ice cream. The “Chubby Hubby” has been one of my favorites but this last trip I had Oreo delight and S’more Reese (not at the same time). Sunday and evenings are busy … so go early and often.

I have driven past the place countless times without stopping in. Yesterday July 30 was the day I stopped. There are numerous concoctions of Sundaes that these ice cream artistes will create for you. It literally would take you all Summer to try everything on their menu! What a Delicious Summer that would be! Gonna be hard to drive by now without stopping in! 🍦🍨🍧 🥤

We took a small day trip and stopped here on our way back for lunch and a lil treat. For lunch, we got a garbage burger, nacho cheese fries, and the loaded fries (can't remember the specific name. They had bacon, ranch, cheese, and chili) to share. We were shocked to say the least. The three of us ate fries for two days because there's just so much in an order. And there's a ton of toppings on them. Definitely worth your money. The burger wasn't something I'd normally order. It had like a bbq sauce type dressing, which isn't my favorite. It was huge though and my boy said it was delicious aside from the burger patty itself being a tad dry. For treats, we each got a small milkshake. A banana, passion fruit, and a cotton candy. Now, maybe the lunch had raised our expectations a bit higher than they should have been considering its just a tiny roadside ice cream shop, but 2/3 of the shakes were... blah. Just that. The cotton candy was not at all cotton candy. Just a tad bit of a hint of candy flavor at the end... imagine mixing 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream to a half of cotton candy. My boy complained the entire 40 minute ride home that he didn't order a vanilla milkshake. The passion fruit was the same. Which was quite disappointing seeing as I love passion fruit anything and was looking forward to it. But the banana was absolutely phenomenal- including real banana! The shakes are super thick. So the consistency and price are all there, but the flavor is hit and miss, I'm assuming.

Worth the ride! Order a large cone if you have nothing to do for the next 40 minutes or so lol. Food is good too with hefty portions at reasonable prices! A find.

Enormous menu! This place is always busy. We stopped in for ice cream and got "Typhoons". It's their take on DQ's Blizzard. Anywho, the burger menu is spectacular! Appetizers look great! The Typhoons had so much "stuff" mixed in with the ice cream, they made our spoons cry! I guess it's just a ma and pop stand that employ high school kids. The service was great and we even got our change properly counted back to us! (How often does THAT happen?)We will be back to try the Garbage Fries!!!

Delicious! Friendly staff and delicious treats. The portions are very very generous. A small is the size of an XL in some places. Worth a stop if driving by, you won't be disappointed. Prices are very reasonable, 3 of us got tasty treats for under $10. Great small business!!!

Parking is limited but the ice cream is stupendous. A very large menu with plenty of options, reasonable price and more than fair portions. The size you planned on ordering? Get one size smaller, they are old school like that.I did not try any of their cooked food items, but I imagine it'll be a fair deal.

Best soft serve ice cream within 100 miles. . They also have a great food menu. The apple dumplings in the fall are amazing. Everything here is delicious. The workers are always very nice and smiling. I stop here every time I travel past on Rt. 66. The ONLY con is there is sometimes a line. But this is because all the food and ice cream is so darn good.

I just cannot tell you how good the food is here! Big portions and great tasting. Everyone that works here are very nice and work very hard. If you are just passing through going to your camp or wherever you are going this is a must stop. Sometimes the line is long and is a bit of a wait but well worth it. Prices are very reasonable and competitive especially given the portion size of the food or the size of the ice cream 🍦.

Amazing! This place is a must stop if you our on the highway. It is easily in my top 5 restaurants. The food here is homemade and delicious. The portions are large and it is priced like a concession stand so everything is cheap. The Buffalo chicken sandwich from here is easily my favorite from anywhere. The fries are also amazing and this place is a perfect 5 stars.

Amazing! So many options. The hard part is how do you decide what you want and that it is in fact cash only. The two sweetest ladies were working there when I stopped on an early Monday afternoon. They have benches for outdoor seating and a small awning with three benches if it's raining. Cute little store with so many options!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian sides.Parking: Room for at least 13 cars though there are no parking spot linesKid-friendliness: 🍨 icecream 🍦Wheelchair accessibility: One level, no stairs.

Great food, long wait. It was opening weekend and they were packed. Took 45+ minutes of wait with 2 hungry kids to get our dinner. Order the Ice Cream, you'll be out much quicker. Great business. I'll go back.
