Check expiration dates on EVERYTHING! Great lunch meat and cheese prices, but I find the lunch meat does not stay fresh very long. Thus, I only buy what I can use in the next several days.Produce not the greatest.

I don't get here as often since Myerstown store is closer, but if I have a big list, shopping here is great - bigger store, more checkout lanes, less wait time. Only complaint, chicken is a hit or miss deal, more often miss than hit. Otherwise, I can usually get everything on my list, plus.

What a wonderful store ❤️ A huge selection of grocery and home goods and the prices are phenomenal. The store is clean and well-lit, and the parking lot is always packed! I appreciate the staff most of all. The girls are so friendly and attentive. We drive quite a distance to come here and I always leave happy!

Hornings prices are, with NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER, the lowest you will ever find! Practically everytime we go there the large parking facility is packed. All thre groceries you will ever need. People's grocery carts, large grocery cards, are filled that you can't fit a can of peas into it!! It is an amazing place to shop ... TRULY 👍👍

I don't come here often as I go to the Myerstown Hornings, but I almost always find the things I need here when I do travel this way.Good deals and prices on a lot of things, or if you need a quick stop for party snacks.It is a good idea to check the dates on the stuff you are getting if it is more of a perishable item.Also, it would be a shame for me to not mention their INCREDIBLE subs. They actually put a lot of lettuce in, unlike some places.

Their prices ( Salvage vegetables & fruits )are as high as the first class supermarkets, ( Acme or Wise). So they lost the advantage. Only stupid consumers will shop there.This is the Facts.

Not bad. Good variety at great prices. Speedy checkout. Cards are accepted. Today, September 9, 2021 a as my first visit to this location. It is too far a visit to shop here every week. I took the drive just to see what the store was like and where it was located. I would shop again if ever in the area.

Lots of categories of foods. Prices are lower than major grocery stores.Staff very helpful. Knowledgeable about all locations in the store. Amount of customers in the store were very high. At the same time they were all courteous and polite.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Especially with food so expensive. Chicken tenderloins for $1.99/lb!!!! They have a great selection of always available items and a fantastic deli as well. The real catch is the cat and dog food. Top names for discount prices! Love this place to death!!!

This is a hard place to rate. Not everything is a bargain at this discount grocery. If you recognize some groceries are heavily discounted due to below first quality (but not bad quality, such as near out of date), and are willing to overlook sometimes big holes in inventory, then we recommend it. If you like a nice variety of basic home baked goods at fair price, we recommend it. Nevertheless, you need to be educated on prevailing prices, and use great scrutiny examining produce, or you could be disappointed.

Great place for discount grocery items. If short dated items don’t bother you Horning's offers substantial savings over conventional retailers, even Walmart.Want a name brand? Go to local stores and buy Boar's Head for over $12/pound. The Martin smoked turkey is just as good and almost 50% less than what other stores charge.The down side is you can’t always get everything you want/need here, but you can get enough and save plenty.Note to management: I would have given you 5 stars if the girls would be friendlier. Smiles go miles!

Great place to but lunch meat and cheese, especially if you have a sliver and can do it yourself. You save a lot per lb if you can but it whole instead of sliced. I also get my dog food here. Name brand at a fraction of the price. There’s always some good stuff here and good prices. Sometimes you have to check the expiration dates, some things will be far far out of date.
