Great staff, they made us a last minute appointment on a surgery day for my elderly dog who had an abscessed tooth. Everyone is kind and compassionate they truly care for the pets as well as the owners. Dr. K will be missed he was a true gem to this community.

Best vet around! My dog got hit by a car in December and was barely alive I had never been to this vet before because I’m new to the area. I rushed her here and he was so kind he jumped me to the front of the line took her right in and he saved her life! He brought her out of shock and gave me referrals to a vet that had high tech stuff to look at her further. If I didn’t go here first she would of died. He was so kind and didn’t turn me away even tho he was booked and short staffed. This will be my all the time vet now! My dog made a full recovery and will be going back here from now on.

Dr.Kowalchick is the most caring veterinarian I have ever had treat my dogs.I just returned from an emergency visit for a very sick young dog.I was not one of his clients.I called his office and was very surprised when I was told to come in immediately. Upon arrival my dog was seen as soon as the information regarding my dog was taken. Treatment was professionally administered in a extremely caring fashion.I have not experienced care for my dogs like this in years.I will definitely be a regular client for all of my veterinarian needs! My family has been going here for years. It's now almost an hour out of my way, but I trust my pets in the hands of Doctor K. It's a great mom - and - pop location, nothing that feels commercialized or intimidating. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I strongly recommended. This guy knows his stuff 👌

This vet is more expensive than others in the area. They didn’t have my appointment in the system when I went in and made a comment that suggested I was not the only appointment they had lost recently. When I took my dog in to see the vet, the vet did not really discuss anything with me or give my dog a thorough check. He gave her a shot and then left. I didn’t have the opportunity to ask any questions. As a new dog-owner, the disorganization and overall non-helpful environment was very frustrating. Not worth the high price.

I love everything about this Hospital! I have taken all of my animals there ( my family also sees this location as primary care for their animals). Staff is always wonderful, kind, polite and willing to help . I cannot stress enough if you need a vet.... this is the place ! They treat you and your pets like family and that really means a lot

I took my dog there because of an uncontrollable rash, the vet misdiagnosed my dog. He looked at my dog for maybe 3 minutes before telling me it was food allergy and giving him a shot. I spent three months treating my dog and limiting his diet for absolutely no reason. After months of nothing helping And switching between different foods I took him to a new vet for a second opinion and was informed that he a type of skin mite and only needed one dose of medication to resolve the problem

Absolute terrible service. My cat struggles with hyperthyroidism and can't handle the long car rides to her vet. Decided to try a vet in town. Called an made an appt explaining she has hyperthyriodism multiple times. Called to have her records faxed over. After she was seen they gave me a liquid medicine to give her once a day. After I get home to give her her meds I noticed it was Albon. Albon which is mostly used for infections. I called back an asked if they gave me the wrong meds by mistake. After being placed on hold I was told they gave that to her for her 'dry coat' and that her other vet is treating her for her thyroid and that they cannot diagnosis it because they don't draw blood. I even showed the doc exactly what she was taking (Felimazole). What a waste of time and money.

Dr really helped me out when we found 5 kittens in an old dog pen with the momma who was a baby herself, we noticed all of their eyes had problems, called Dr took the worst baby to him he gave me meds for all of the kittens and you wouldn't even know they were same kittens. Took my dog to him 2 weeks ago and I told him her abdomen was hard. He examined her in 2 seconds and said he could find nothing wrong. Tomorrow she is having surgery for a huge mass near her spleen.

Dr. K has been my vet for 30 years. he's an old fashion vet,if you want bells and whistles go elsewhere.he really cares about animals and we would be lost without him. he's the best.

Doc Kowalchick has been my family vet for as long as I can remember. Even though I've moved away from Berwick, I still always make the drive, no matter how long, to bring my cat to him.Many vets these days, particularly in suburbia, play on your sympathies to get to your wallet. Doc has never done that...he's old school and gives it to you straight. He's always been gentle with my pets and kind to my family. I highly recommend.

Mr kowalchick himself is a very caring and loving Doctor and I respect him and thank him and his staff to the highest extent for helping my furbaby with his emergency. However one particular female behind the desk(where she stayed) completely embarrassed me when it came time to pay up! I was under the impression I could make payments. She holds up 2 of my prepaid cards and says "which one of these will u be using today?" I'm trying to hold my very strong dog who is trying to go after the other dogs. Frustrated she makes me scream "there's only .33¢ on them". Duke slips his collar, causes rucus, seriously like right out of a movie. Sorry, but a little bit of help from a staff member wouldve been appreciated but no!!! A woman who had her own furbaby there, stood up and helped me get the collar/leash back on my very happy boy. So thank u Miss Jane Doe for helping me when nobody else would. U were a godsend and my angel if only for a moment! I considered switching vets for about 12 sec and I would but I'd rather stay where I am not disrespected and made a fool!

My son and daughter in law just had my dog there and they charged 187.00 to tell them he may or may not have parvo and didn't even treat the dog. All they said was get a second opinion
