My wife and I stood there for 10 minutes while a woman and a young girl stood behind the window. The woman talked to the teenagers in front of us and completely ignored us while the young girl stood at the second window without even looking at us or saying a word. LITERALLY as soon as we walk away, the young girl goes to people standing behind us and asks "how can I help you?" Absolute abhorrent customer service. I'm not saying this is the case, but it's awfully coincidental that my wife was the only black person there. Just saying.

If you ever go to Lake Jean or Rickett's Glen State Park, Red Rock Scoop is a definite stop in! The Huckleberry sundaes are fantastic. (So is everything else)

We visted the Red Rock Scoop for two years now after we visit Rickett's State Park. They have a great variety of hard ice cream and soft serve ice cream with flavor blasts swirled into it. Yum! I always get the S'mores sundae which is delicious with the marshmallow topping, hot fudge and graham cracker pieces. My son had two scoops of hard ice cream, and the portions were really big compared to other ice cream shops I have been to. My husband got a soft serve cone with a peanut butter flavor blast and really enoyed it. Our second day at Rickett's beach area, we drop down to Red Rock Scoop for lunch. We all ordered hot dogs with fries, and they hit the spot. Fries were piping hot and the hotdogs were a decent size and they offered many topping to go on it. We have been there 4 times now, and it's become a tradition for us to stop for a treat after hiking in the park. I would highly recommend it!

Yum! Perfect treat after hiking Ricketts Glen plus there were chairs and tables outside. We were going to grab a snack at the Ricketts Glen Hotel but after that experience just waiting for some semblance of customer service, it was a pleasant change to see a smile. Plus there's a giant chair for pictures!

Went here multiple times on our vacation. The ice cream is delicious and the service is friendly. Arrived 2 minutes before they closed one night and they were still happy to serve us. Great customer service.

My family and I have been loyal customers of the Scoop since it opened, we live in the Red Rock area. Every Summer we look forward to it opening. We have always been of the mind set to buy local and help out our small businesses . I'm not sure why the past couple weeks we have had the worst chicken finger basket meals, fries so salty it could give anyone a quick heart attack , just from the salt intake. The chicken was either under cooked, with grease from fryer still clinging to it or so hard from the fryer that you couldn't eat it period. This to any one else would be just an inconvenience but to hard working families looking to give a treat for supper this is a HUGE sadness with a basket almost 10 dollars each.I am even more sorry to say this but if your looking for summer food if you are anywhere near Red Rock or Ricketts Glenn area for hiking or just swimming at Lake Jean, you would be better off stopping elsewhere.

Perfect stop for an ice cream after a hike in Ricketts Glen. They have a great selection of Hershey's ice cream flavors. Knocked off one star for the lack of an ambiance to enjoy the ice cream

My girlfriend and I waited about 10 minutes for two cheeseburgers and a large fry but let me tell you it was the single best cheeseburger I’ve ever had and well worth the wait. Better than Five Guys burgers. There is only one worker on at a time so the wait was understandable. We will be stopping here after every hike at Ricketts Glenn.

The perfect way to end the day on the mountain. Give yourself a break and enjoy friendly conversations on the bench right outside. Teaberry was our favorite flavor. We couldn't remember the last time we saw teaberry flavor ice cream anywhere.

We stayed at Ricketts Glen for 3 days and went here every day. The ice cream portions are generous for both soft serve and “hard ice cream.” They have burgers/hot dogs/fries only on weekends. Definitely worth the stop. Don’t forget to take a picture at the large Adirondack chair out front. They take cash, credit, Apple Pay, Google pay.

Stopped by after a hike, my kids think this was the best part of the whole weekend. They carry both hand scooped & soft serve ice cream, with flavor bursts available on the soft serve. Their red rock sundae was amazing. Wish I had an ice cream shop like this back home.

Portion sizes were great, MANY different flavors of hard & soft ice cream. Employees, (although they looked like teens) were very prompt with orders as well as getting your ice cream out to you. I had the peanutbutter and banana sundae with extra peanut butter and it was phenomenal! It's just a hop skip and jump across the road when leaving the park road! Dont miss this great place for an ice cream cone after a great day hiking and swimming.

This place is a life saver. Located right beside Ricketts Glen hiking, it provides a much-needed sugar boost before or after burning all those calories. You may not have cell service in that area, but there are signs conveniently posted along the road to direct you to Red Rock Scoop. Plenty of flavors and options to choose from, and the girl working there was extremely friendly.

After hiking at Ricketts Glen all day, Red Rock Scoop was the perfect place to stop and cool off/refuel with food.Their menu had a lot of options and they were timely with orders!

Cute little ice cream shop. Simple menu. Great for a quick stop but no room for little kids to roam so can't stay long with wee ones. They have one of those giant Adirondack chairs for a fun photo opportunity before you go.

Great ice cream stand right outside the state park. It's Hershey's ice cream. They have a great selection and some really inventive sundaes or build your own. Lots of milkshake options also.

Legit waited 40 minutes for a chicken tender basket.. I work in retail and fast food so I understand being understaffed, but this was ridiculous. Especially paying $17.65 to wait that long without being told there was a wait.. not worth it. Overpriced. You will wait forever.

Good ice cream, friendly staff. It's a tourist area and there were a lot of motorcycles going by so it is pretty loud there. If you want a quiet place to enjoy ice cream, maybe another place. This is right by a lot of hiking, fishing and camping areas.
