Would give this place 10 stars if possible. You can tell all the staff including the manager care about their customers and also the RESCUE dogs they adopt out. The Fairless hills pets plus (including the manager) should take notes from this store on how to treat customers and stick with adopting out dogs and not sell purebred puppies because people want them. This store sticks to the mission statement on the website! Kudos to your staff!!!

I was able to adopt my best friend at the Pets Plus in Bensalem. At first glance I knew Butter (my dog) was meant to mine! The attention here was great, there was a large amount of puppies to pick from (which makes it even more difficult). The staff is extremely friendly, and patient when it comes to attending customer's needs. And to think that these pets are all rescues makes the cause even better.

I adopted my pup Tony from here. He's such a sweetheart and in terms of feeding the store made sure they're well taken care of. The store manager Jordan was amazingly helpful and genuinely cared about each and every pup or dog leaving the store. My pup Tony was able to pass the service dog in training assessment and I couldn't be happier. The only reason I didn't give the store 5 stars is because Tony had a belly full of 3 kinds of worms. The vet they used said there were "no sufficient findings" when I received his paperwork, which was dated 1 day before I adopted him. I took him to a vet close to me and they told me he had a belly full of worms that looked like they had been present for a month. None of the pups are house trained yet and their ages range from 2 months to 1 year when I was there.

My son has been wanting a bearded dragon for a while now. So we took him to this store to get one for his 13th birthday. The guy that helped us was very knowledgeable and attentive. We appreciated the time he took to show us all the things we needed for the bearded dragon and for answering all of our questions on how to care for it.

I go here simply out of convenience because it's walking distance from my house. I rarely go unless i have an immediate need for pill pockets, honestly. The staff are very nice. The inventory is pretty mediocre. I've seen bugs on the unwrapped bones and treats before, so I only buy sealed products from there. The main reason I'm rating so low is the poor treatment of the animals. They're all living in constant filth. Rarely do I see any of them with any drinking water at all, much less fresh, clean drinking water. The dogs live in glass boxes with shavings you'd see in a hamster cage and poop everywhere. The employees seem annoyed when I bring it to their attention so I don't even bother anymore. The animals, the dogs, and cats in particular are highly overpriced. Kind of weird, considering they advertise it as adoption... It's really a shame. I'm not sure who would be purchasing these animals when you can get a healthy, clean, akc registerable puppy for less. It really just makes me depressed to go in there. I wish they'd price the animals appropriately so that they can find homes.

Regardless of the comment about cleanliness, the place is great. We observed prompt cleaning of puppy feces and urine everytime. Multiple pups in a room will not "go" at the same time. Finally, our rescue is a sweetheart and the staff is fantastic. Visit and judge for yourself.

I really need to know how you can justify charging $695.00 for a puppy. Sorry but the old argument about being vaccinated and neutered doesn't hold water especially when we all know what happens to these animals when they don't get adopted! In other words, these animals die because a great owner couldn't afford to adopt them.

Within a couple minutes of entering, I had to find an employee and let them know that one of the 3 puppies was bleeding in the neck and legs from the other 2 biting him. There were at least 2 other rooms with 3-4 dogs that were also biting each other and the employees were at the front desk looking at papers. The dogs in 4 out of the 5 rooms were scavenging through the litter trying to find food. Not one bowl full of water or food. They have sign saying these dogs were saved but if I could, I would've tried to save them all from that place.

Don't not buy a animal from Pets Plus Bensalem, I repeat DO NOT BUY A Animal from there... Myself and my kids 3 days ago adopted a kitten that was only 2months old, I was showed the vet checkup a day before I brought her home with everything cleared besides a sore throat. Day three comes around and our kitten can't walk and has shallow breathing and not alert, I rush her to a emergency vet and within a hour our precious ,loveable kitten crosses the rainbow . The doctor had no time to tell me what caused it as she passed so soon. When we saw her in the pet shop she was getting beat up on and hiding in a corner alone scared for her life. I spent over $400 on adopting her plus the food they said she was on and accessories, just for them to sell me a sick kitten . The associate who answered their phone today when I called just hung up on me. The place they kept the cats was a disgrace. Please watch buying from this place , your more than likely getting a highly insanely sick animal. My kids are heart broken and crying and I'm broken.

First time I went in this store, it will be the last. The smell upon entering was atrocious. My wife couldn't even stay it was so bad and my son put his nose in his shirt. Prices are way high, care of the animals appears to be mediocre at best down to not good. Dead fish floating in the tanks, feces filled dustpan sitting outside the dog cages. Really bad mojo here overall.

This place is great! Took home our new puppy the same day. Already chipped, and the pricing includes getting spayed when she's old enough. Sweetest little pups ever! Highly recommend Pets Plus.

Very nice adopted a cat and have been happy ever since. Everyone that helped me was very nice. They hold your ID when you play with them though and I left without it. wish there was another way to do that or make sure when they take them they remember to give it back.

Be cautious adopting from here. We adopted a kitten from here and we just got back from paying $260 at the vet and thats just for starts. He has an upper respiratory infection, an eye infection in both his eyes, and hes had diarrhea since we got him 3 weeks ago. They make you sign paper work stating that they are not responsible and you are responsible for the medical bills for the pet after adoption even if they are sick when you get them. I would not adopt another sick animal from here even if I was paid to do it.Im hoping that my kitten gets better with the meds from the vet, but needless to say I am very disappointed with my experience here.To add, we just took our kitten back to the vet for a 2 week follow up, and mentioned he still had diarrhea 1 month later, so now were also having to spend an additional $250 to treat him for the parasite COCCIDIA.

Bought a 300$ female cat..brought HIM home to find out he has nuts how lovley of them to not only over charge me but sell me the wrong thing..it’s giving false advertisement and I also went back today and refused to let me see any of the cats or the dogs hold any of them but would let everybody else for some reason. Lucky I don’t sue

Another great grooming job done by Dave. Rukus started out with long thick fur and now he is much cooler in this heat. This is our 4th time using Dave and he never disappoints

Do Better! 4 or 5 rabbits ( and a Guinea pig together) with no hay to eat. Rabbits require fresh hay 24/7 and go though a lot of it! It even says it on all the bags of hay you guys sell and make money off of.How many pounds of hay do you guys have in that store 1000? Yet you only give those bunnies have old hay scraps and food bowls filled with litter, afew odd pellets and some kind off fiber seed things ( maybe for the Guinea pigs? ) They are right next to the counter as well. Like The cashier can toss them hay from the register. The kid working the counter said thank you for telling him but then he had to search for a little hay and gave them a handful.... Rabbits graze all day long. I didnt even mention the one poor rabbit freaking out because some dog came in and got all the other dogs riled up. They don't have a good hiding spot because not all of those rabbit can fit in a tiny clear plastic Guinea pig hidey house. A stinkin cardboard box you guys have laying around everywhere would help all those bunnies.Maybe watch one youtube video on how to care for rabbits or something.

I could not find any pet rats near Philadelphia, at Pets Plus we got 2 baby brothers for my daughter. They also had adult pet rats, the employees suggested and helped us grab everything that we needed. On top is ghost, his brother, smoky is underneath🤣💞💞

This is one of the worst pet stores ever. Everything is overpriced, from their pet food to their animal litter. The same bag of rabbit food or rabbit litter is $20 at this store at other stores I can get it for 10. Their dog wee-wee pads are almost $40 for 50 when I can get 100 pads for $29. Not to mention the lack of service. They're all a bunch of kids that really don't know anything about animals. I hate The bachelor business but every time I've been in there looking for something or asking questions no one seems to know anything.

Great prices for fish, but the customer service is horrible. I went there this morning around 9:30 am and people were all waiting for the doors to open along with an employee waiting to start work. They missed out on a lot of business this morning!! Whoever the manager is, really needs to be fired and get someone who’s reliable and professional. No one seems to have any idea about their fish they’re selling? Compared to Monster Pets or Pet Smart who can actually inform you? I’d rather support small businesses instead of franchises, but come on, get your act together.

Customer service here is terrible, starting with the "manager" who, as he said "runs" the store. Very unprofessional told me to Google the Dog breed when I asked about puppies they had. I have adopted here in 2018, two puppies in fact and the service then was top notch. The only plus to this store is one male employee with blonde hair, I didn't catch his name but he's the only one with manners, period.

Hello, I recently went to a puppy party where a friend of mine bought small treats for the 4 legged guest! Unfortunately the treats they sold expired in 5/2/2022 which made my dog very sick with vomiting and diarrhea. I just ask that they be better with checking those items even tho they were discounted to 1 dollar they should not have been sold expired. Please do better. Thank you

Dirtiest pet store I’ve ever been in. They overcrowd it with animals and can’t keep up. The dog kennels are always a mess and they had bearded dragons in a tank small to big all together in one tank next to the WINDOW with improper lighting. This place should not be open anymore.
