The girl at the window was super sweet and willing to answer ALL of the questions we had. She explained everything and was very patient. The ice cream was good and the portions were generous. So many flavors options! We did not get to eat in the restaurant but after a peek in, it seemed like a nice place! Definitely visit if you are in the area!

Stopped here on 7/22 for dinner. We had a party of 7 and 4/7 of those people were from Michigan and eating here for the first time. The food was absolutely delicious! The serving are very generous. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us often. We absolutely will be back in the future!

Breakfast was good.. sausage gravy was the best out of all that food.. price is a little above average but depending on what you get, it's worth it. Dinner wasn't as good as breakfast though.. we will definitely be back to enjoy their breakfast.

Best steak salads around. Love the bread sticks. Fast service and friendly staff. Typically remember your preferences and appreciate your business. Also, Penn State Creamery ice cream! :) Still hold true years later! Got a steak salad, medium cook, with pub fries!!! Delish! Only $12. Check it out!

Waited over 30 minutes for food. Never came. We got up and wanted to pay for our drinks and leave. They just let us go. While we were there they put out TONS of to go orders. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE!**** And no, fast food is not what I was looking for. And yes 30 minutes is a long time to wait for wings.

This could have been a wonderful experience, but because we were new to town we were treated with a fair bit of disdain and service left us waiting far longer than people that came in after us. We weren't checked on unless we had to be and there was no friendly tone for us, only other tables. If you're a local; enjoy it. If you're freshly moved in, or passing through for any reason, it can be passed for somewhere else.Edit: To answer the owner's question, and elaborate based on other reviews having a problem with the same person for the same reason; otherwise I would not call her out by name. Yes, I have worked in customer service before, no this definitely wasn't a "having a bad day" treatment, as it was only to our table. The waitress according to the receipt is Tiffany. She didn't even bother telling us her name, and the only smile we really got was as we left, shortly after my kids mentioned out loud that I had left a review. We were kind and polite to her the whole time, and yet we were still treated like we were not welcome. We had plenty of time not being checked on to just observe her behavior with everyone else, and feel the wrath of her glares and eye rolls every time she walked past our table and glanced at us. I will not be returning even though I'm in the area to visit family every year and my grandparents are buried a town over.

Was passing through the area. Chose this restaurant due to its very high Google reviews and I can see why. Food was very good and prices were excellent. Small touches like extra sundae toppings at the bottom of the ice cream sundae was also nice. Only negative was a political show on the big screen TV in the dining area. Politics doesn’t make for a relaxing dining experience. Otherwise very happy and will return again when in the area.

Love this place! I keep going back for their various cheese steak hoagies, but all of the food is delicious. They also serve Pennstate Creamery ice cream which is incredible! Peanut butter swirl all the way.

My family gathers here every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I've also had the opportunity to come down other than then as well. It's one of my favorite local nonchain place for a cheeseburger. The burger was cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy the way I like it, and the fries are fresh cut. Food is very good and the service is also usually very good as well. Highly recommend even if a little out of the way.

We went for ice cream! The prices are great, and the sizes are bigger than expected! I has the Coconut Cream Pie Tornado! It was tasty! Our pups loved their vanilla pup cups!!Parking: Small parking lot. Can be difficult to find parking.

This place was great! I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. The onion rings were huge and fresh. The Cheese Steak that my co-worker had looked really good and overall the menu was enticing. I wanted many different things. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. The atmosphere was very relaxed and laid back and staff was friendly and on top of it.

My family and I eat out together every Thursday night. (7 - 9 people). We decided to start looking at going "somewhere new"; so I Google Bellwood and found IRVIN'S, a family owned restaurant with 4 & 1/2 stars. Gave them a call and asked if they could accommodate seven people, one with a walker, and we needed a high chair. They allowed us to make the reservation for 6:30 like we wanted, and when we got there they already had our table set up and ready for us. Great menu, atmosphere, and and delicious food ! The waitress was super. Some of the bigger restaurants could take a lesson from this great little place !

Visited the ice cream shop a couple of weeks ago. Didn't realize it was also Irvin's. Service and ice cream were great! My low rating was for the subs we had several months ago. Not very good. Bread seems to be low quality. Good bread makes a difference in a good sub for me.
