There was a long line to check out. The self check out was not working. The manager took over for the gal that needed to go on break. He proceeded to stand at the register and text on his phone! How about you text later?!!??! Not at all impressed.

One and particular worker here has a nasty attitude. The young manager who always wears the hat was in the back of the store yelling and belittling an employee and made him cry. As a shopping customer, I should have not over heard that conversation! That was very inappropriate, he could easily and politely corrected him. He's always listening to music out of his ear pods, he always looks sleepy, he barely answers the customers questions. He is just not a good representation of the company.

This store has employee shortage like most stores. But the employees (God Bless them) that do come in. Are polite and over worked. Please be nice! If you want special bags. Maybe bring them with you. Some of our stores are not going to be providing them. So I always keep some handy

The $ store in Bellefonte really needs more help! It's very convenient for people who live in town, but the majority of the time there's a long line with one cashier a lot of times. If pay rate was a little better, they could get some extra help. Also, there's always carts full of supplies that need put on the shelves. Shelves are bare but supplies ready to be put up/out. Employee(s) are usually busy ringing people up at registers. Makes it really hard and inconvenient to get around in the store with supplies/carts in the middle of the isles. Also, I've seen customers having to search through the boxes on the stock carts, which makes it unorganized for employees to stock when they DO get to. Plus it's a hazard. I still shop here but it needs some improvement. More employees at the right times of the day(s). I would be willing to work there if they'd pay a little better. On a good note, most all of the employees at this Dollar store in Bellefonte are very kind and helpful! I've never been treated rudely and they're always willing to help you out! Just need to get them more help!

I was in Dollar General on Spring Street and asked to have all my groceries double bagged. Braden was the associate check out and commented " I don't double bag chips. If it breaks ill buy you new chips"These do break due to the fact the same manufacturer makes Walmart bags. Then he spun the groceries and one of the bags landed on the floor. He also did not put the receipt in the bag. Please hire workers that are courteous and intelligent.A single cell animal is more intelligent than this.

Very convenient place to stop. Much better than a true convenient store for selection and price. The staff are always friendly and helpful if you need to find something. If I had one complaint, it would be the parking, even though there's nothing they can do about it at this location.

This place is colorful, in that you see the local color here. I'd suggest arriving with a bodyguard, as I've feared for my life just about every time I've gone here. Creepy people tend to loiter outside. But the people who work there are really nice and deserve hazard pay.

Store can have a lot of people and it takes a while to get rung up, staff seem slow and itemsrather understocked, parking seems to be a problem, overall I'm not all that satisfied with this particular Dollar General and I'd rather go to the Milesburg or Zion DG stores, even though I live in Bellefonte myself.

Stores is a mess, stuff on carts and unorganized. Employees were all nice, just maybe understaffed. Most other Dg stores do not look like this.

Always treated well and usually a smile!! I stop in whenever I can.. I hate shopping where the associates are miserable to be around, as that makes for dreadful shopping!! This store is one of the few pleasant places to shop!! Thank you!!

It's no different from any Dollar General. The selection is reasonable, the prices can be really good if you're keeping an eye on things or buying store brands. It's also in such a convenient location.

Nice assortment of decently priced good. From food to clothes to socks and more. Sometimes alil disorganized but its A DOLLAR STORE. No expectations No disappointment i always say.

Clean building but long wait in line and they weren't busy. When someone did finally come up to the register she faced away from me complaining to another employee about other employees. Make the drive and just go to the one in Milesburg.

Very small, cramped, and dirty. Had to walk through a cloud or cigarette smoke to get to the entrance since the bulk of the staff there that day were outside on a smoke break....

Could not get throw the Isles there was too much stuff in them there was not enough grocery carts to put your groceries in they had ones in that were not functional to be able to be used but other than that it was a good experience

I was in the store today and saw at least three employees out in the aisles near customers without wearing that. I alerted somebody at the front desk to that and they laughed and said yeah probably, and did nothing about it

Great local staff in a decent store, it's dollar general so it's a discount store with low end merchandise. It's the people who make a difference.

I dont hate it, it's just that everytime I go into the bellefonte dollar general its always trashy and cluttered. Unlike all the other ones I have been in!!

You can get just about anything here without having to go too far although the price is starting to go up and it's the dollar store so let's keep the prices to reflect that please

There is nothing stocked right. Carts full of merchandise cluttering up the aisles. Freezer section is barren.
