On Monday, April 29th, we arrived at Valdiserri's Bakery for lady locks. We live in Texas and can't get them here. I told the employee that we came all the way from Texas to get them. There was only one left so I asked if I could place an order for the next day. She pointed at the clock and said sorry that they only take orders until 2:00pm but that I could pick them up on Wednesday. I told her that we were only passing through and wouldn't be there on Wednesday. It was 2:02pm...two minutes too late...unfortunately, the service didn't have the feel of a small town bakery. I went to another bakery to get my lady locks.

They have a great selection of cookies, pastries, and donuts. Pepperoni rolls are delicious! The fruit filled cookies are soft and have a great flavor. Going back to try the bear claws tomorrow!

We stopped in here to try recommended peanut butter brownies but all sold out unfortunately, so got gingerbread cookie and cupcake to try...cookie was yummy but cupcake very stale - fabulous icing though...will stop back in future and recommend checking out 🙂

What a great little gem, hidden away in a quaint little Pennsylvania town. Old School local bakery. Low prices and amazing pastries.They have the most tasty butter cream of any bakery I have ever tried. Seriously! it's so light! Get there early, the locals know its good stuff!

Totally love this bakery, I don't get to go there often but I love the smell as soon as you walk in the door....I had an old friend that worked there make my wedding cake.. it had a raspberry filling and it was amazing.Stopped in for some cookies, etc and obviously I look for the coconut cream pie. You can't beat old recipes and the memories of being taken here as a kid.... omg you just want to try everything.. Only problem is always finding a parking spot... lol

Delicious goods, I love the small town stepping back in time feeling.Their cakes are delicious, reasonably priced, and decorated so beautifully.My favorite cookie is the Spanish Macaroon.If you like a little bit of sweet bread you'll enjoy the buns.

They have the BEST French bread.... Italian bread... Buns... An ohhhh soooo yummy baked goods!!!Today got bananna nut bread.. Two peanut butter brownies...a smiley ☺cookie for my lil guy and french bread for dinner.... Always great with friendly staff!!!

The pepperoni rolls are delicious!!! We are from Pittsburgh and happened to be in the area and will now make special trips here and there for them. The cookies were great too! Highly recommend this local bakery!

Struggling to find a bakery to deliver some pastries cookies bagels was harder than I thought it would be. Thank you to the young lady who answered the phone. She had a few questions for me when I asked if they did deliveries she first told me no they only deliver to businesses. Then she proceeded to ask me some questions. She told me I can call the owners in the morning and ask them if they would do anything after I answered some more questions for her she said hold on please. When she came back on the phone she told me that John the owner would call me in a little bit and talk to me. And he did exactly that he called me back in about 30 minutes I explained to him the situation that I prefer taking care of a small business especially this time when everything so shut down and I could definitely use a big box company to send flowers or a fruit basket but I wanted to use the local small business and help them. Without further Explanation John and his staff did exactly that thank you ever so much greatly appreciate it. The owner John gave me his cell phone if I need anything in the future to give him a call way to go great customer service all around

I can't believe I've never heard of them! A couple weeks ago my boyfriend wanted local baked goods to pass out to some businesses and purchased from this bakery. He brought some for home as well. Probably the best donuts I've had. Fresh, flavored perfect, not sickening sweet. Perfect. Highly recommended. Will be trying other products.

This used to be one of my favorite local bakeries, as their donuts, pastries, and breads are phenomenal. I would eat their peanut butter brownies daily if I could-if you love chocolate and peanut butter, those will change your life. One thing I also appreciated is how as long as you give them 24 hours notice, you can call in and order anything-even if it is 2 brownies or something like that. Anyway, I needed eclairs for a special occasion this week and called Saturday to see if they even made them and was told that they do and went ahead and placed my order. It was guaranteed that these were going to be sold. I just received a call this afternoon that the dough was used for cream puffs since eclairs don't sell and that the woman would call me the next time she makes them and seemed to be quite amused during the entire call. Well, that one experience will stop me from going back and I will be sharing my experience with anyone who mentions needing a bakery. Is it a huge deal? No, I can pick up eclairs from a grocery store bakery for my son's class and spend a lot less, but the way it came across, like "the cream puffs are more important since people buy those, so now you only have a day and a half to see if any other bakery is up for it" thing is where I have an issue. Terrible customer service.

I have been going to Valdeserris since I was a little kid and have enjoyed everything I have ever gotten there. They have the best bread you will find anywhere. Much better than store bought bread and cheaper. They have the best baked goods as well. I recently moved to NC and CAN’T find any Italian bread anywhere. Don’t even get me started with the smiley face cookies. Best cookies you will find as well. I have family coming down and I am having them bring me 5 loaves of bread and 15 cookies. I do miss that bakery. I recommend to everyone I know up in Western PA.

Workers try really hard to make each and every customer happy. You'll always have a few terrible reviews under any business since everyone can never be satisfied. Although, that has never stopped me from going in. They alway try to meet every customers' requests and try to compromise if not. You can tell their products are genuine and nicely priced as well. Best bakery around. ❤

I have been hearing good things about their pizza. It's just awesome. Something like my grandma's. Lite crispy crust and the sauce is delicious.

I ordered what was supposed to be a red velvet cake. It tasted like coffee and molasses or maple. Absolutely terrible. All of the guests agreed. We threw the cake away. I called the next morning and they were of no help. Poor customer service!

Why are the cases always empty ? Came in the morning hours. No maple rolls no cinnamon rolls no ladylocks no strudels... no breakfast rolls of any kind...very limited selection. Disappointed.

My 86 yr old mother used to buy the Italian Bread & have it sliced. The loaf of bread was so small (compared to another local bakery) and we know the dough is rolled by hand & that is what we were told that caused the huge hole in the center. My mom asked me to take a few slices of bread back to show that there was hardly any bread thru out the loaf & the girl that I showed told me that she knew who my mom was & wasn't going to give a free loaf of bread & we should have brought back the whole loaf & not a few slices! I didn't ask for a free loaf & that's not what my mom wanted. We just wanted to show them so they can look at the loaf of bread after slicing it so that they don't sell anyone else a hollow loaf of bread. I have NEVER been given attitude in Valdiserri's before by any of their employees & I was very surprised. Valdiserri's Bakery has many Great Tasting Fresh Baked Goods & I have never had any problems before or after!

Going to have to go there early. They were out of some things. Super friendly staff. As soon as you open door the smell of freshly baked items hits you. Will go again soon. Great tasting baked goods.

I was in your bakery on Tuesday. I bought a dozen of cookies. In that dozen were a half dozen of the Apricot Thumbprints. They were so dry. The filling was dry and hard to bite. They needed to be taken off the shelve. Very dissappointed.

I take my 8 and 4 year old kids at least twice a week to get donuts in the morning before school we went there today got fresh cheap donuts and the staff was very friendly.
