I don’t understand how a place that is donation based can be so greedy when reselling their items.A used couch? $500. An out dated, beat up, water stained coffee table? $75. Recliner from 1995? $85. Cheaply made plastic decorative vase? $6. Candles that someone could literally toss in the trash or just give to someone? $5. All of those prices should be cut in half. You’re a thrift store, with the intention of helping people? But you wouldn’t think it with the RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED items sitting there.I wouldn’t want to donate to you so you can take advantage of what’s given. I don’t think I’ll be shopping at any city mission again.Luke 18:25 - "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God"

I was shopping at the store and I will never return. I overheard some employees talking about a Christmas dinner and one of the volunteers they wanted to go. However, their store manager told him he was not allowed to go and I feel like that inot very unchristian like I’ve her to do so, and not to mention all the donations in the little donation box they do not go to the mission at the store they go straight in the managers pocket. What do you think about those apples, not very Christian or godly place I feel terrible for their employees and the volunteer who was uninvited to the Christmas dinner. Very terrible to do to someone. Christmas!

OK, I understand it's a store that supports a mission, probably with a religious bent but... Not everyone who comes in the store wants to hear loud religious music. Isn't the point to sell as much product as possibleto support the mission without alienating customers?Secondly, who is pricing items at this store? They go to eBay, pick the highest price they can find for the item, print it, and tape it to what they're trying to sell.The problem is... They're way overpriced! This isn't an elegant resale store. It's a thrift store. Look at the picture. They took an item that a store was trying to sell for $2.98 yet they are selling it for $4.99! How do they justify almost doubling the price for an item nobody really wants anymore?Whether it's furniture, china, cheap kitchen items or electronics, they are incredibly overpriced for thrift store junk and as such, aren't selling as much as they could to support the mission.

Nice store with decent selection, deducted a star due to poor attitudes by some of the staff such as yelling at customers, not packing breakables just throwing them all together in a bag, and having things set up poorly for walker/wheelchair users. Also there is a ramp at main door that can be tricky to manuever through both entering and exiting so be careful. The second set of doors are flat and easier to get through, sometimes one is even propped open. They run special sales often and proceeds go to helping others. Overall I highly recommend checking it out and will return 🙂

Prices are shockingly sky high. However I did find a little TV stand I would have liked to have bought. but I was told I was going to have to get it to my car myself. I'm up in years and walk with a cane. And me and my cane walked right back out. WOW 😳

I'd like to add a few comments as I'm a frequent thrift store shopper. I've seen different comments about the prices here (and other places) being too high. I have a pretty good idea of the value of a lot of items.....yes, sometimes an item is mistakenly overpriced, just don't buy it. There are still plenty of good values in the store, especially when there are sales, sometimes you just have to do a little looking around.If you are on a budget or looking for a good find....the store is called Hidden Treasures by the way...give it a try.

The sweetest employees ever. And a big selection of clothes. Nice furniture for a unbelievable price. Especially if you are a animal lover and your pets destroy your furniture like mine do. All the stores are great. Love the one in Rostraver to. Please check it out.

The store is neatly arranged and the staff members are nice, BUT the prices are unbelievably high. I saw items with Dollar Tree tags priced at $5!!! Really. As someone mentioned, they put eBay print outs next to items to make it look like their prices are a bargain. I was watching a basic model Brother sewing machine priced at $79--a more advanced model BRAND NEW can be found for less! I miss their Donora store--the merchandise was priced fairly.

Well as if this morning I went to hidden treasures found a bed for myself and I was going to pay for it, and all heck broke loose because she treated me so badly I walked out crying, I’m trying to take care of everything on my own and not take hand outs, I asked the lady if I could pay half and come back pick up the bed tomorrow so it wouldn’t get wet, she asked me does it look like they are a storage unit and I said no ma’am but I’m willing to pay for it, she said we don’t hold items for ppl regardless if I’m a fire victim or not, there’s the Red Cross and Salvation Army for my kind of ppl, Mickey was with me he had a few choice words with her, and I said to everyone in there for the prices they have they could by brand new and trust me not every suppose missions store is like them. I felt like a crack head begging, and I’m not going into them places again. The kids bedroom suits are on layaway at speedy furniture I just figured I’d get second hand. I’m feeling so low right now.

The one hard, rough-sounding honey got snappy with me when I asked her a question about getting an item in...& got loud with me, snapping at me in her sailor voice saying, 'LOOK HONEY THIS IS A DONATION STORE, SO WHO EVER DONATES IS WHAT COMES IN!'Well look honey, it was beneath me to come to you to ask for what I needed to begin with since I don't rely on a man like you do, but at the same time, I'm flattered you called me honey at almost 50 years old!!

I didn't even know they had another one over in Belle Vernon, when I realized it I had to stop in to see what they had LOL. The store is very clean and well organized, the people working there truly do a great job. I wasn't expecting to find so much nice stuff at great prices.
