Purchased a Suburban from them and was assured by the sales rep that the truck had been thoroughly serviced by their in house mechanic. I expressed to them how important it was to get a reliable vehicle, as U was traveling across the country with my family. Within a week of purchasing the truck, the AC went out, and when i took it to a local mechanic they found that the rear suspension was broken. Literally the bottom of the coil springs were broken. Two weeks later the transmission went. The mechanic that replaced it told me there was fresh oil and filters in tge burnt trans just to make sure it last long enough to sell. Buyer beware.

I purchased a 2011 Chevy Suburban from Doug Bechtel Autos. Lance was great to work with. He was super friendly and relaxed and gave us all the time we needed to look over the vehicle. Shortly after I bought the suburban, I noticed the fitting for the oil cooling line on the radiator was leaking. I took it back to them and they fixed the bad o-ring free of charge.

So I bought a 2008 Tahoe, super clean and they where very nice. They let me look over the whole truck for as long as I want. I bought it and a month later the trans line popped off the trans and the trans blew. He took the truck back and made it right. We had a 50/50 warranty but he rebuilt the trans for no charge. We bought two vehicles now off him. And we are very happy. And he’s trust worthy

Very disappointed in the vehicle, the response time and lack of any communication after the sale was finalized *but during the Warranty period* has me really disappointed with this company. Spent almost 20k on a 12 year old SUV with 70k miles on it and issues with it since the day we got it. Every time we would call or show up with something wrong they would look and say there is nothing wrong. Originally we were told the reason for the new vehicle was dieing when it would sit over the weekend was because of a bad fob key battery or something to do with the fob key. So they said they could get it replaced and would go half on it with us,. That never happened I ended up removing the battery and dissembling the fob to prevent it from continuing to cause our vehicle from dieing. We had a 1 month or 1k miles warranty which was why they made sure to push off any of our concerns, we now have a suv that dies every time we don't drive it for 24 hours. So this small family owned business has really gone and reinforced the stigma that surrounds car sales people, it is a crying shame and if anyone asks my opinion this is where I stand till something changes or till the 5 years of payments are up. And I'll be sure to let everyone I know or meet, know not to go here.

So here is the deal. I see a Avalanche on Carfax online that looks like a good fit for me. I reach out to Bechtel Auto Sales and after many back and forth communications and pictures online because I live 5 hours away I agree to purchase the 2011 Avalanche at listed price. During the process and talking to the salesman Lance I repeatedly asked if there is any damages on the truck or rust to be concerned about. (Basically the response was no and I wouldn't be disappointed if I purchased it.) So I move forward trusting Lances assessment and purchase the truck, payment was in full and the truck was setup for transport to my zip code.A few days later the transport driver calls me and says to meet him at 11:00 pm in a Walmart parking lot in the next town over because my streets are too narrow to deliver in. No problem, I do this and now have my purchased Avalanche in my possession that I drive home. I was happy up to this point.Now, Next day after work is where my sentiment changes to disappointment of my purchase.Looking over the truck in daylight I find problems.Here is a quick list : Hood has large scrapes that were touched in with a paint brush. Front clear headlamps are both faded and clouded reducing head light penetration. Back Bumper cover hit and pushed up. Passenger side rear panel near tailpipe has wavy bodywork and paint blended. In front under the valance spoiler the plastic bumper filler panels both cracked, clips broken and loose needing replaced. Interior Dashboard cracked in two places, (one of which is 6" long right above gauge cluster). Driver seat lumbar ripped 3 inches long with a 1/4" hole in it.These are all items I feel should have been disclosed and if I had known these I would have moved onto looking for a different truck.Moral of this story is if you can't look at the vehicle in person prior to buying then don't. This experience ended in disappointment with my purchase at Bechtel Auto Sales so in good conscious I cannot leave a favorable review..Expensive lesson learned to a $20k mistake.

Bought my van from here Feb 2021. Great guy. The price was below Blue Book and in great condition with low mileage. He even left it sit on his lot after I paid for it in full because of an impending snow storm! I would definitely buy another vehicle from here!

Doug and his son Lance are Great!! They always have a Awesome selection of low mile SUV and trucks. I was given a great deal on a 2008 Tahoe 77,000 and 1 owner!!! Super Clean and they even changed oil and filter and gave me a brand new inspection!! Lance even replaced chrome door handle for us free of charge without us even asking about it! Tahoe was clean and pretty and ready to go on day of pick up!!!! I would rate them with more stars if it were possible!!!! Great Honest Father and Son Team!!!!! They had the vehicle I was looking for, but were 6 hours away. I called, and Lance gave a virtual tour of the truck, showing me everything I wanted to see. Looked good, so I committed.I took a one-way rental to them, and they met me at the drop-off, took me to get transit tags, and were very pleasant to deal with.Note: upon arrival and full inspection of the truck, all was as described, but a glaring oil leak I saw under the truck. I asked to have it checked by the mechanic, who took it in, diagnosed it and fixed it. Bought/drove home 6 hrs. no problem. Very satisfied!My experience was great. Note to buyers: these are used cars. They will often fail. Do your due diligence, like I did!

I had my eye on a beautiful Suburban and inquired about it through email. Lance responded right away and we went back and forth several times as I had many questions. I snoozed too long and somebody bought the vehicle before I was able to drive out there (3.5hours). Lance gave me a courtesy call to tell me it was sold and assured me that he would call me right away once a similar vehicle became available. Seems like a very nice family run dealership that deals mainly with trucks and suvs. I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to drive out there and give them my business, and I hope that happens.

Purchased a 2004 Dodge Pickup from Lance. After 2 months I had a major transmission issue with the truck. Although my 30 day warranty had expired, they asked me to bring in the truck so they can look at it. They did, they fixed the problem, and did not charge me anything. It’s been running great since. I would absolutely buy another vehicle from them.

Thanks Lance and Justin, the Escape is running good! If you are shopping for a car I can say that Lance took care of me. I would recommend them. I looked over my 2009 Escape and liked the way it drove and ran but saw it had a oil leak. Lance said he would fix it and he did. I also had a check engine light come on that proved to have a Ford bulletin published on it for a faulty camshaft solenoid. Those got replaced as well. Thanks again! Really appreciate it!

I had exactly the same experience as the reviewer below. We bought a Jeep with a clean history that had supposedly been owned by someone Doug knows at a seemingly reasonable price. Within a few months, the AC went but we had expected some wear and tear at 50k miles. Once at the mechanic, however, it had become glaringly obvious that the vehicle had been in a collision. Lance asked me for the cost of parts. After 4 calls and 2 e-mails over a month and a half, Lance finally said, "Yeah, we're not gonna get involved in that."Shady and unprofessional. In retrospect, I probably should've read the reviews prior to giving them any business.

I recently purchased a car from Betchel Autos. I am from out of state but the drive was worth it. After searching for over a month for my new car with poor sales experiences I came across Bechtel Autos via Autotrader. I inquired about the car I was interested and received a response within 24 hours. Lance was friendly and provided exceptional sales service. I was interested in buying a vehicle from this dealer but they were very rude and I believe that they also might have been the owner. they sounded like they where pushing me into buying the vehicle I am interested in and rushing me. I have asked to see if they could take a $100 deposit that I know wouldn't be refundable but he said no for a deposit, he made it clear in a VERY rude way, they don't hold vehicles. I have seen good reviews and some bad ones not sure what to think about this place but I DO BELIEVE NO ONE should be pushed into a $11,000 purchase. worst part is I didn't even get the chance to look at the vehicle yet all because of the HORRIBLE attitude and BIG HEADED this man Douglas is. I guess the question do I give my money to such a person or really see if this vehicle is worth the price? HORRIBLE PEOPLE SKILLS!

Lance was great to deal with! The vehicle was exactly as described, and he went out of his way to take more pictures to satisfy some questions I had. Everything went smoothly at the purchase, and I felt very comfortable with the entire process. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
