I got a job here about 2 weeks ago. The interview went great for the job that same day of the interview. I was happy, excited to start my new job. My first day comes, I am stuck behind a computer for 3 days straight for “training”. While training I asked for my department to be changed because I knew I wasn’t going to like it, I was put in Inside Lawn and Garden, I wanted to be a cashier so I asked to switch they kept telling me the position wasn’t open, then on 04/22/2024 it was my first day on the floor. I was excited again, get put on the floor then the supervisor for Lawn and Garden ( forget her name) told me to do some things without really showing me what to do. I wasn’t comfortable being on my own just yet because again it was my first day on the floor. She had me following around another associate, Zach but not telling him or me what to do or how i should be doing it. Then came the part of her telling me to climb a ladder to do some “down stocking” again wasn’t comfortable doing it on my own just yet due to not being trained correctly or at all. I have told them at the beginning that I was afraid of heights and I wasn’t climbing anything and I got told that I wouldn’t be doing anything like that. Every time this supervisor would tell me to do something she wouldn’t stand there with me while I tried doing it she would just walk away and then come back 10-15 minutes later asking if I figured it out. I would say no and she said well it needs to be done. Well if I was trained properly I would be doing it. Everytime I would ask a question I would get an attitude. Unprofessional and your a supervisor! 10-15 minutes before my shift had ended I got called into the office by one of the other managers (Dawn) she proceeded to say I heard your refusing to climb ladders and stuff. I said well I wouldn’t use the word refuse but yes. She said well you gotta use the ladders. I said I have a really big fear of heights, I tried doing it but couldn’t. She said did they tell you the job description when you got hired I said no they just said I didn’t have to use it in the department she then gave me a number to call to make accommodations to me not wanting to climb ladders. She then proceeded to say that they might deny and if they do they would move my department but that’s literally what I been asking for!!! This company is unprofessional in every way. That’s why they are so under staffed!!! There is always a catch to everything!

Checkout is understaffed, and the few staff present aren’t the most cheery. I understand that they’re likely stressed and overwhelmed, but when you’re visibly irritated and speaking in a curt, blunt manner it’s a little upsetting.Although, I AM partially at fault…I’d be frustrated with myself too. I can’t believe I was using the wrong pin on a card I’ve had for over a year. 😭 My bad! God, I’m sorry to the poor woman I held up ant the cash register, just to go to self checkout in the end. But I’ve gotta say…I’m so tired of self checkout. Please Lowe’s, for the love of God hire enough people to work the registers! Not everyone wants to/is able to scan and bag their own things.Otherwise staff is very helpful, and I’ve always been pointed in the right direction without having to run laps through the aisles. Shelves are always fully stocked, but the brand selection is limited for some items.

Bought an electric dryer the experience went well. Jaylin was so helpful.. She went out of her way to make sure we got everything we needed. There was another young lady who was also helpful . We had our dog with us and Kevin gave her many treats and was just so kind to her. Thank you for a great experience.

This place is a joke!! I bought a washer and dryer and I had them deliver it. The delivery time was set between 8:30 AM and 12 o’clock. I get a call at 6:30 in the morning from the delivery person saying they were at my house. They were extremely unprofessional. They were supposed to install as well however, the guy said my connection to the hose was too corroded and I needed to call the plumber. I said know if you had the right tools, you would certainly be able to take it off. I said Justin stole my dryer. I’ll take care of the washer and he refused so I refuse the washer and dryer. when I went up to talk to the managers at Lowe’s I talked to the assistant store manager. I’m pretty sure his name is Chris. He could care unless he just looked at me like he doesn’t wanna be bothered with my concerns or my complaints. He gave me no resolution no accommodation. I now know why when you go to Lowe’s none of the employees even want to be bothered with the customers. You asked and associates about a product or where something is they point if you can’t find it. Oh well. So if you want to be treated like your money doesn’t matter, nor do you definitely go to Lowe’s

Sad that none of the Lowes staff handed the individuals hanging outside the contractor checkout, saying derogatory statements to patrons that are walking in and out of the store. I'm glad I didn't take matters into my own hands with a bat stored readily available in my truck for such occasions. I was prepared for such occasions since no one else was handling this problem, but my friend deescalate the tension, and we decided to leave without any incident.

I love Lowe's I have a very good account with them and high credit account. But lately this particular Lowe's never has cashiers. It's all self-checkout I cannot go to this anymore. There are a lot of jobs that just the fear of being accused of stealing something is enough to lose your job. I can't take that risk . Please Lowe's in bartonsville PA have one cashier Lane open at all times. I see Home Depot is currently hiring more cashiers and lowering their use of self-checkout. I'm going to keep this on social media until Lowe's changes their policy. There's a Facebook page if anyone is aware. I will be shopping at Home Depot in this point on.

Stopped in to pick up 12 bags of brown mulch. Priced right at $2 a bag.Stopped at the register in the outside lawn and garden center to see where it was. The gentleman suggested instead of getting a cart and loading them he would ring them up and just pull around the area across from there and I could pick them up there and someone would load them for me.It worked out great. Gave the fellow a few bucks tip and I was on my way in no time. Easy Peasy.

Let me start off by thanking these 3 very essential and hard working men at this store. NICK, CRAIG and Xhavier. You guys went above and beyond for me even taking the time to down stocking merchandise for me, you did an exceptionally amazing job and we need more people like you who take pride in their work and made it a pleasant experience because it was stressful to try and understand what it was I was trying to do with my project. I don’t usually leave reviews for stores like this, but I have to say I’ve had the best experience today (11/26/23) at this Lowe’s.I don’t want to leave a lengthy review since it may seem like a novel, but I must say, Carlos is your #1 guy there. He helped us find a good drywall sander, helped us pick the right caulk for our home improvement, looked for us and made sure we got the right sanding paper for the walls, recommended a shop vac for us, and was just the coolest and down to earth guy. We sat and chatted we him about our different projects as well. Just a wonderful man and we will definitely keep an eye out if we need any help and end up at this Lowe’s. Thank you “Papa” Carlos lol.

No complaints about lowes except their lumber...I don't know who is in their quality control of the garbage they call dimensional lumber, but it is twisted, bowed, excessive crowns, and has more bark still on the lumber than firewood!Do a better job. Maybe pretend that you care about the quality of products that you sell...

They are OK, I prefer Home Depot, the wife likes Lowe's.. Same thing, different place. Home Depot is closer by ten minutes, people are equally friendly at both places, but Home Depot is easier to find help

BUYER BEWARE! This location is selling used/broken water heaters. They sold me 2 broken tanks I had to pay a plumber 3 times to install the water heaters. They refused to refund me my money even though I used a licensed plumber and have receipts. The heating elements in the water tank were clearly used and refurbished on site. Corporate told me they don’t do that! How does someone working in New Mexico know what’s happening day to day in bartonsville PA? They don’t! I spent $2,400 on plumbers to do this work and they offered me a $200 e card. Scam don’t buy AO smith 50 gallon tanks here, actually don’t buy any tanks here because they probably do the same to all lines of water heaters.

***4/18/23 update*** This LOWES can not keep quality workers. The good ones quit & move on. I have been waiting almost a YEAR 2 have Lowes get me a missing piece 2 my dishwasher; they failed in every way.I have been waiting same time for LG fridge with dents to have door replaced w no charge, they have failed miserably.AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS.Always Friendly and polite and just a pleasure to shop at this Lowe's home improvement location, the staff goes above and beyond. My compliments to the management, the example they set and the workers as well in return set a standard for the managers to maintain. It's a fantastic work flow for the employees and the customers.

Went to lowes today short lady in plumbing think her name is Jen but not sure anyway she told me that ABC pipes is illegal in Pennsylvania it's the law...so lm wondering why the leading builders in the Poconos is installing such pipes in the Poconos. The associate was very helpful, I needed something to kill tiny tiny bugs that had invaded my house plants. She helped us find insecticide, new potting soil, sand and these sticks with sticky things to put in my plants to catch any that the insecticide didn't kill. The next few days I'm going to be very busy cleaning all my plants and repotting them. I have so many plants, hopefully I can save them all from this pest. Some of my plants are as old as 22yrs old. I'm so greatful for all the help she gave us.

Went their for decking and found a great price and a large stock of available pieces. Also, plenty of parking. The woman at the self-checkout was extremely helpful. She seemed happy to be of service and was a joy to deal with! She made the shopping experience a pleasure.

This store sold me cabinets that were supposed to be “in stock and delivered in 3 days” then had me waiting over a month but nothing showed up. Ended up having to cancel my order after they tried to deliver to the incorrect address a month later, even though the correct shipping address was clarified multiple times. Corporate also couldn’t help, bouncing me back to the store for help. Terrible customer service overall. Avoid doing business with David Frantz or Mary Lee Young, they are rude, careless, and will cause frustration and delay your projects.

Do NOT use Lowes for your new kitchen! We went to Lowes last September. They were so nice, assured us they could guide us thru the process. Paid them in full in Dec. They came in April, ripped out our kitchen then realized they had measured incorrectly. Had to order new parts for cabinets. “Rushed” order. Now more than a month later no one has any idea where the parts are. Won’t answer our questions. They will “get back to us” and we never hear. Worst decision we ever made to go with Lowes.

The prices are crazy. Employees never are sure about what they carry. Not always stocked well. Parking is good. Can see signs from road clearly. They do carry a lot of different colors of paint.

Walked in late one evening to get A few things for An early morning Renovation the next Day. At around 9:15 p.m it made sense not many Employees to assist, some even dodging us at first sight. I needed some assistance with Wood floor Laminates that were not readily in the aisle. I came across Geroge in that Department. He figured out the items were in overstock, grabbed a 10ft rolling ladder and got all the stuff we needed. He was even knowledgeable enough to prevent me from purchasing Floor Layment as the Laminates we were getting didn't require them. He also Checked my local lowes for more quantities of the items needed. We need more employees like George keep it up buddy.

I ordered a washer and dryer and was offered a delivery day of Friday or Sunday I chose Sunday due to working on Friday. I get a call Saturday night stating it would be delivered tomorrow between 1p-5p when 530 rolls around I call to see where my stuff is they tell me they don’t see a comment stating it won’t be delivered so it’ll be there to just give them some extra time because of the rain. Well it’s now Monday and still no washer and dryer and now they’re saying it’s suppose to come Wednesday anywhere from 8a-8p. When I call the Lowe’s store including the manager I get the run around Im about to cancel my order and go to another store!
