On Friday, March 15, 2024, I attempted to shop with my 2 daughters at Dollar Tree’s Bartonsville location, arriving at appx. 5:45pm. We are avid Dollar Tree shoppers, spending at the least $250/week. We LOVE Dollar Tree!! Unfortunately, on this evening between 6-6:15pm we encountered a very disrespectful employee by the name of “Kathy or Cathy”. Here is how the incident began…. I reunited with my beautiful 21yo and 13yo daughters, after shopping in a different aisle, and the eldest whispered to me that said employee approached them telling them ‘they cannot KEEP opening the nail polish’ and said ‘the glass is right there, there is no reason to pick up the nail polish’….. I then approached said employee to get clarification on the matter. “Kathy or Cathy” IMMEDIATELY became defensive and said she saw them OPEN the polish because she saw the brush out of the bottle and said she wouldn’t have approached them if she didn’t. I looked over to my girls for their response in front of her, and they both adamantly denied her claim. I believe them 100%. They are both MATURE and TRUSTWORTHY young ladies. The employee (referring to Kathy or Cathy), then VOLUNTARILY said she will pull up the video and show me. I allowed her the time to do just that. During the waiting period, we kindly returned the over $50 worth of highly desired items to their respective shelves. Upon returning to the register, I requested the video footage the employee offered…to no avail. The employee said she does not have access to the very footage she offered to show us, she now says she can only view the camera LIVE (it is obvious she only offered to show the video to support her false claim at the time). I advised the employee, that I put everything in our carts back neatly on the shelves and will NOT be shopping at that location again and that I will be leaving a review of my experience, she replied she doesn’t care and DOES NOT CARE about the reviews!!! She then stormed off with a cold look on her face, into the office, allowing the door to slam behind her. We then left, empty-handed after such a distasteful experience at one of our favorite establishments. The experience was insulting to say the least. “Kathy or Cathy”, lacks humility, she is not fit for customer service of any kind. There is no room for improvement, because she obviously does not think she is wrong. She left a terrible mark on the Dollar Tree brand. One employee should not leave such a negative effect on ANY customer. I look forward to hearing from Dollar Tree’s corporate office in search of a resolution and will be following up. Thank you for your time.

this is just a review on what I witnessed tonight, regarding the management.I witnessed the manager call a customer derogatory names, swear at her, scream at her, and continue to bash her once she was out of the building.I will be reporting this to corporate, I think customers who plan to go into this establishment should know about the managers here.absolutely disgusted.

One of the Cashiers, Christy, is absolutely miserable. No hello, no thank you or have a nice day. Couldn't hand me my receipt either? If you're that miserable, go work a job where you don't deal with the public.

Today I asked the lady if it was possible to open another line because the line was very long and the cashier was with one customer for over five minutes so I asked nicely and the lady told me to calm down and everyone got upset at her for telling me to calm down. I was very calm and I said thank you and she was really rude I don’t know why maybe because I was the only brown girl to ask. she was the white lady with frizzy hair that’s always there. Then she went on to start telling the caucasian/white man in front of me that there are only 6 ppl in the store. That man also quietly told her that she watched the line get that long and waited for someone to ask instead of coming to help. Instead of stocking for a few minutes of her time. I didn’t say anything to her. I didn’t want someone like her to ruin my day because she was an unhappy miserable lady that was rude for no reason to me. I let like karma and God deal with people like that.. I just have to put it out there, hopefully the manager can see this and work with her on customer service skills. And common sense behavior. This was at 11:20AM on Saturday morning at the bartonsville location and Giants parking lot. Even when she checked me out she tried to start with me but I didn’t say anything and the lady behind me who is also a white lady asked me are you OK because she was ready to let her have it but I said yes I’m fine thank you.

The Cashier one of the worst employee ,miserable ,rude ,disgusting people I've ever met.she was yelling at old people..she is disrespectful! She is really trying to shut up respectful clients ,will file a report with the right organization a complaint regarding the horrible job this cashier made out there who bully seniors and respectful people. Management /human resources should be addressed and notified about this horrible poor service this Cashier offered.she was trying to speak with me in spanish Bashing her manager (a blond lady)who was behind her in another register(which seemed a decent person)putting down other people who reach out to her or ask her a question.i didn't even answered her, so obviously it triggered her !and start being disrespectful !huh ! she told me how horrible the management at this DT is !i was shocked of the low unprofessional level .it was Sunday February 12/23 Bartonsville location between 5ish -6 pm.i wish this message got to the right person at management,this type of person should be addressed because they are giving other people specially seniors a hard time and emotional abuse.

I wanted to reach out at the corporate level and let you know what a pleasant experience I had with your freight manager, Emily at store number1393 in bartonsville, PA. While the front-line workers were friendly and eager to help, I was pleasantly surprised with seeing the isles so organized and eye catching arrangements. This is one of the best looking DT stores by far that I've visited. What could have been an extremely frustrating experience turned out to be a fruitful and rewarding one, thanks to Emily.I will be eager to return to this store location knowing that it is good hands with your skilled freight manager Emily.We're always adding new printables, and would love to hear your suggestions. Its wonderful that they are busy this holiday season, but having 8+ people on 2 lines (and growing) while the manager stays in the small cubicle office in the front instead of jumping on another cash register to help alleviate the lines, really shows how great of a manager they are.

Everything of course here is a dollar. The only dollar store I've been to that doesn't have a frozen foods section. Or a bathroom for its customers. However, there's a cashier here that's very rude. And has poor customer service. Sometimes a bit busy. Overall, not to bad.

Came to this dollar store and another in the area to get items that I may need while being on "lock down." The employees are just super wonderful. The store is well stocked and clean even with so many people shopping trying to stock up. I can tell they are tired and worried about the virus and what is to come. They are kind and helpful even to people who are rude and ungrateful. The employees are working extra hard to make sure everyone is getting checked out in a timely manner. Keeping the lines moving. answering questions. Trying to keep a smile on their face even while being yelled at about issues they cant control. When the lines short or there are not many people in the store... They are busy stocking as much as they can. Cleaning and making sure customers and themselves are keeping as healthy as they can. I tried to email corp about these wonderful employees at both stores but i cant get an email. I want corp to know that they deserves kudos. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Its a scary time to be shopping but it puts me at ease some because of these employees. Anx im sorry for all the rude people out there.

I like the store some of the associates however need work. I have gone here on multiple occasions and it's always a game of Russian Roulette with the cashier of the day! Will I get a crabby patty or will I get a nice person. On my last visit I got a crabby patty. She turned her light off to go to her cigarette break like I wasn't standing in line, then gave me major attitude when I asked her why she wasn't going to finish her line first, me and the other person had 3 items each. (Me and the older gentleman behind me then had to go to the end of the other registers very long line!) So the store is fine the associates can sometimes try your patience and kindness though. It all depends on when you go and who you get, like I said Russian Roulette!!!

What a relief.. 😀 The woman who was working on stocking and straightening went out of her way to offer to reach up to get me two white garlands that I couldn't get off the top peg they were hanging on! Very friendly.. Heavily shopped but still quite tidy with spaces to put more merchandise on display.

Manager took very long to assist her colleague having arond 10+ customers standing in long line with one register open. No need of rush to attend customers and her colleague.

As always, it's got new products I didn't know I needed or wanted until I saw it there. Plus with everything only costing $1, it's hard not to try new things. Only true "dollar store", and the only one I'll go to! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I like Dollar General but todays visit was horriable. The store was dirty under stocked and the computers kept crashing. Our teller I believe her name was Judy was the highlight of todays trip. Clean up stock and maybe you can improve

My iPhone charger was severed and I had a low battery and needed directions. I looked up places for iPhone chargers and accessories and this place said it had them. I get there and there’s a half of an aisle full of chargers, earbuds, cases, holders and a bunch of other things. After about 15-20 minutes of digging through the massive pile of chargers and whatnot I got very aggravated. There was an absurd amount of usb, type c, aux cords, earbuds, etc... but not a single lightning cord. With the little battery I had left, I made it to the highway and was able to get home. One good thing about it was that I found a set of hooks for power tools. They’re not very strong, but definitely freed up some space on my tool cart by attaching some less heavy things to the outside (I do mechanic work). I’ve got so many tools on my cart and that actually helps out quite a bit. If they would have an iPhone charger this place would have really made my day.

Have things that you would typically find in a dollar store and everything is actually a dollar! Who would've known. Just remember about the tax. Only complaint is that it can be dirty in there sometimes and disorganized but overall, its a nice dollar store.

If you live in area it is good to be able to go there instead of going through brodheadville traffic to go to grocery stores and the backed up traffic headaches. Workers are friendly and helpful with customer's and it's clean.

I LOVE THE DOLLAR TREE.EVERYTIME I SEE A NEW ONE I HAVE TO SEE WHAT'S IN SIDE SINCE EVERYONE IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT . YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICES. THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE AND I AM SURE MANY THAT SHOP AT THE DOLLAR TREE YOU CAN NO LONGER TAKE THE SHOPPING CARTS OUT OF THE STORE IN WHICH I DO UNDERSTAND BUT YOU HAVE SENIORS, ELDERLY, PPL WITH DISABILITIES AND PARENTS WITH CHILDREN. THIS I FEEL IS NOT A GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WHEN ONE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES HAVE TO STOP DOING A INSIDE JOB TO HELP ESCORT SOMEONE TO THEIR CAR IS NOT VERY GOOD BUSINESS. MAYBE YOU SHOULD USE A COIN CART. OR HIRED SOMEONE TO BRING THE CARTS IN.
