Love the Self Dog Wash - they welcome you with a rolled towel and doggie biscuit. The tubs are always clean. Shampoo & conditioner is provided. Total cost is only $10.We try to go later on a weekday evening or mid-day if possible. They can be busy on a weekend. Ashely at the front greets you with friendly service and fast assistance.

I love this place. It's always clean and the staff is super nice and helpful. If you're sick of going to PetSmart and Petco this is the perfect place. Price point is about the same and they have the cutest stuff.

I love this store! Every time I go in with or without my dog I get assistance as soon as I walk through the door. They are much smaller than like a PetSmart which I like because I don’t feel so overwhelmed by all the products and I can always find someone to help me and I don’t feel like I’m paying anymore than I would elsewhere.They also have cats/kittens in store that you can adopt and a board with resources for cheap vaccinations, pet training, etc. When I go in with my dog the staff give her a treat and rub her which she loves. The staff are really nice and knowledgeable about animals and the products they sell. My favorite thing is that if you’re a new pet parent they have coupons available in the store to get a free bag of cat/dog food, a free engraved pet tag, and a free dog wash which was big help for me when I first got my dog.

The first few times I went I would have given them 5 stars. The same female employees were there and super helpful and kind. The one even gave me free samples for the kittens I’m fostering (I found the pregnant mom cat on the street). The gentleman employee offered and carried out the big bag of dog food for me too which was a huge help. I was so happy to return today to a totally different experience.The same female employee was kind but guy employee there today wasn’t helpful one bit - didn’t ask if I was looking for anything, didn’t offer to help me carry the bag and instead watched me carry the huge bag of dog food not only to the counter without offering to help but also to the car as I also had my 2 year old. When I asked if it was possible to get a few samples for the kittens he told me the samples cost a $1. He made me not want to go back, so I’ll stay with my usual, Doggie Style where I always used to go.

The staff there was very helpful and when I had a lot of questions about different types of dog food for my pitbulls the staff that help me she was excellent and gave me some options and she explains what they had in the dog food and they welcome my pet my poodle Dash and you can wash your dog there and it's closer to home for me where I don't have to travel so far the staff was there was excellent. Thanks for the recommendation on the dog food and now my dogs are very healthy. I see a change!! Thanks again!!!

Before I picked up my puppy, I went to Pet Value in Bala Cynwyd and found everything I needed by way of supplies, food, snacks, and advice. The staff their is very helpful. After picking up my pup, I continued to visit the store, I said visit, but always left to store with something. Now they have a groomer and she is awesome. She listens, advise, and answer questions. I must say the highlight of my day was her fixing my Yorkie’s face after another groomer butchered it. Let’s just say my pup and I have a new groomer. Great job Meg and thank you, I’m so very satisfied.

I love the idea of this store: A (smaller) pet supply store in the neighborhood. The service is always great, but the prices are just a little too high unless they are having a sale. This means that I hardly ever buy the routine essentials (e.g., big bags of food), but I do shop here for treats and the occasional toys and things. Mostly I just stop in to show my kid the cats.

Not sure what’s going on in here today.... I normally come here to wash my Dog and grab whatever supplies I need for her. Typically, the Dog Wash station is clean and stocked and prepared for fur clients- today, not so much. One tub is completely down- including the dryer- the more shallow tub has a clogged drain which caused the tub to fill (i suppose clogs should be expected given the nature of the clientele) only one hair dryer is working so I am sitting with my dog for 20 minutes now and counting waiting for this other lady that was brushing her poor dog with the damn scrub brush they use to clean out the bath tubs - there was literally ONE clean towel available to use to dry my 90 pound German Shepherd off with - and a hamper full of dirty towels while the two girls working up front sang along to music and chit-chatted;This is far different from the amenities Ive come to expect over my time patronizing this place. Disappointed with this place today-

I like the Pet Valu chain. Their prices are competitive and I find things here that you usually don't find in the bigger pet store chains. Only down side, they don't have fish and the amount of aquarium supplies is very limited. I go here for my dog and always find what I need.

Our dogs and us love coming here. The workers here are always so nice and helpful. Truly a great place to bring your dogs if you need to wash them or just grab them a treat.

Really like the place not only because they sell Performatrin Ultra, one of the best fog foods, the staff is always helpful, the place has very nice dog baths for only $10; and their relatively high prices are mitigated by the quality of the products and loyalty discounts.

Parking near this location sucks simple as that not the fault of the location. But keep in mind during busy hours you might have to park somewhere else entirely or lose 15 minutes waiting on a parking space. The store is clean the selection is excellent and it's closing down in a couple of months so enjoy it while it lasts. Posted November of 2020.

The people who work hear are always kind, educated, and superb at their job/expertise. I adopted a 3 month old puppy and this store is great for us.

I had to wait about 15 minutes for the cashier to get change for his drawer. The cashier stated he told his manager an hour ago, but the manager was being lazy. I observed how slow the manager responded. He didn't apologize for the wait either. Cashier was great

Love their self serve dog wash! The tubs are at chest height so you don't kill your back. They also provide shampoo, hair dryers, and towels at no charge!

It was very nice I went to the one in elkins park the team help me so well and educated me too about the things I was buying. Unfortunately when I got home I saw that my baby of 2yrs died. So sad. But yes a great store.

They have everything your pet will need. From vitamins to refrigerated food. Organic and whole foods for any pet. Very aesthetic place. Looks very lovely and the staff is friendly.

Rude!! Need better training with their employees. I personally working in customer service and tend not to giving hard time to people who work in other stores or cas I know how tired to deal with customers all day. But this store, unbelievably unfriendly to their customer. I ve been always love petvelu, but won’t return to this location again. And I will make sure all my friends who’s living nearby know this.

There are small "pet showers/baths" in the back which is great since it's easier to wash your dog in. Plus a wide variety of healthy dog treats/food.
