Disturbing, horrible experience. We were forced to go to Mindy's "Shave'Tique" because of groomers being closed for Covid. We spoke EXTENSIVELY to Mindy about how we wanted our 4 month old poodle puppy, to look and sent photos of what she could do. The photo we agreed upon had a poodle with its snout shaved, and full and fluffy body. The area above the poodles eyes was not shaved at all (as that is the proper look for the breed). She agreed to do that look for us. When we dropped our puppy off, we were told that it would take 2 hours for her grooming. Turns out, she was in a crate for hours until Mindy could get to her. When we finally picked her up after 2 hours of her in the salon, my poor puppy was shaking and unrecognizable. She was cut WAY too short, and above her eyes was shaved. Good groomers never shave above the eyes of a poodle unless specifically instructed to by the client. Not to mention, my poodle has a horrible scab behind her leg from this experience! I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I could have done a better job myself. I feel sickened, guilty, and furious that my puppy had this experience and outcome. This woman clearly has NO expertise in grooming, and she is both as cold as she is untalented! Finally, you should know that I could have more respectfully and artfully completed the task in a tender and thoughtful way.

Mindy was an such a nice person & extremely helpful to me when I was in a situation with my dog that had broken off her front toenail pretty badly. It was bleeding and my dog was clearly in some uncomfortable pain. I was never even a client to her prior to this day when I called frantic trying to find an open pet groomer after 5pm on a Friday! She kindly let me bring my dog over right away & went out of her way to help me with understanding and executing everything I needed for my dog. **Side Note- besides The owner being a pleasure to do business with, her store is Fabulous! Excellent selection of just about anything you can think of**

After reading reviews here about how the cuts are mediocre and the attitude of Mindy was horrible, and seeing how Mindy responded to those reviews, I had trepidations about taking my puppy here. All the other groomers I reached out to were fully booked, so despite my hesitations, I scheduled an appointment with Mindy. It quickly became clear to me why Mindy has availabilities and other groomers do not.I have a mini-bernedoodle who I have had regularly groomed every 6 weeks. Unfortunately, the groomer I had been using was in NY, so I needed to find someone in the Philly area rather than keep driving to NY. This is also the third doodle I've taken care of, so I have a maintenance routine that includes brushing him every night to keep him in good condition in between grooming appointments.Mindy was very pushy about using a 4 week schedule when we dropped off our dog. I expressed hesitations, and that I was aiming for every 6 weeks given the effort I put into taking care of my puppy, but Mindy insisted that she knows best. I figured I would wait to see how the cut went before I made my decision.Mindy also told us that there is a discount for first time customers, but a higher price with no discount for dogs in bad condition that need a corrective cut. I had a feeling that after I expressed my hesitations about the 4 week schedule that she would charge me the higher price despite my puppy being in good condition. I was right.I emailed Mindy to tell her that I did not want to continue using her service, as it felt like she bait and switched us with the pricing. She then responded with an extremely nasty email, which is what prompted me to leave this review. She will likely do the same in a response to this review, saying that my puppy was in need of a corrective cut despite being groomed every 6 weeks and brushed every day.Ultimately, I will echo what I read in the other reviews: the cut is mediocre, and the attitude of Mindy is repulsive and why I recommend staying away.

I was referred to Mindy by a friend, and I could not be happier with how healthy, bright, and resilient my dear pup Josie's fur and claws have become since starting with Mindy back last summer. Josie had a claw issue prior to bringing her to Mindy, and a lot of costly vet visits due to broken claws; knock on wood, Josie's claws have become stronger and healthier and no broken claws. Josie's coat is fluffy, soft, shiny, and healthy. Mindy, Liz and the rest of the staff are personable, pleasant, supportive and professional. I HIGHLY recommend taking your dog to Mindy! You will be pleasantly surprised with the affordable cost for a wonderful and thorough job!

We are so fortunate that we found Mindy and her staff for our dog, Shorty. Mindy gave us a grooming schedule that keeps him looking spiffy and clean and healthy. And, best of all, Shorty, a rescue from a puppy mill who can be tentative, goes right into Mindy's wonderful space without hesitation. It is such a pleasant atmosphere with such warm and helpful staff. Nicole is just lovely. Mindy's Pet'Tique also has a boutique of unusual and fine quality items that can are great gifts as well as to care for and adorn your pet.We are loyal customers!!!

Mindy's Pet'Tique has been the BEST puppy salon I have taken my 2 furbabies to! They love going and seeing the ladies there and come home looking great! I have a one- eyed Shih Tzu named Pearl and they are absolutely amazing with her and are very careful of her good eye. Pearl also loves to get her nails done and bows in her hair. I also have an Australian Shepherd named Spencer that has separation anxiety from my husband and me but once he gets to Mindy's he is ok! The ladies at Mindy's Pet'Tique are very warm and welcoming and are extremely helpful in keeping your pets looking great at all times! Mindy goes over how to keep the dogs from matting and how to take care of Pearl's good eye. She also has the dogs on a schedule to come in so they are happy and healthy and again always looking great!

What can I say about Mindy and Nikki at Mindy's Pet'Tique?! They are truly the best. Our little Sammy absolutely loves going to get his bath and grooming. They are so loving and gentle, and Sammy gets pampered like a king! He leaves there perfectly white, smelling good, and (best of all) HAPPY! When Sammy first came into our lives; I had no idea where to take him . . . . my daughter noticed the sign for Mindy's, and we've never looked back. Used mindy for a few years for my goldendoodle. She is insistent on a schedule which I happily obliged for years. She has great prices and I loved how she groomed my dog, my dog didn’t seem to have any issues going there what do ever. My problem started after covid, the grooming quality slipped, which I associated with being understaffed due to covid but the main issue was with mindy herself. I was on a 4 week grooming schedule which cost around $60, which was a great price for a doodle! But every time my appointment would come around miney could call and say she over booked, and needed to move my appointment. I had a tight work/school schedule and I scheduled specific days (months in advance) that I knew I would be free. The days she would offer to replace my appointment would always be 1-2 weeks out. And then she would charge me the price for a 5 or 6 week schedule, which moved up to around $80, even though it was her fault for over scheduling. I could understand if this happened once or twice, but it literally happened every month. And if you did not reply to her text or calls she would quite literally SPAM your phone. Constant texts saying I needed to reply to her, I ended up just telling her to take me off the schedule so she would leave me alone. I thought it was very unprofessional to get mad at somekne for not responding within 5 minutes to a text (she would spam me during work), or expect someone to change THEIR schedule in such short notice when the appointment was booked for months. So my distaste is more about the service of trying to get my dog in to be groomed and the owners lack of professionalism. Her grooming was decent and very low cost which I liked.
