It was my first time here. Pretty neat atmosphere inside. We had a party of 10 and they were all set up for us. The waitress was very friendly and quick. I had the fried chicken which they are known for. And it was delicious. I had no complaints. You even get free refills on soda👍. They also have a bar which is connected to the restaurant. We were just there for dinner, so can't review the bar side. But I will be back for more of that fried chicken for sure.

One of the rare places I'll give stars more for the atmosphere than the food. Can't believe I've never been here before but what a cool, cozy retro mid century looking throwback of a restaurant in beautiful Avella. Service was the best. Prices great. Food was ok but I'll give another try for sure. Was in area because of the great antique store Poor Johnny's which is right down the road.

Great place to have a wedding. This was my first visit to Breezy Heights. And while I did not go into the tavern I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon at their pavilion. It is a beautiful location. Set next to a small man made lake one can use one of the two paddle boats to cool down on water. There is also a pool, for those that want to take a dip. A volley ball court, lots of parking, and amenities.

I have been going here for over 40 yrs. It is comfortable and family owned and operated. I have moved and don't make it back as often as I would like but I know that I am always welcome. I LOVE the broasted chicken and rarely ever try anything new, but it does happen. The decor is different to say the least but it is part of what makes Breezy's. We tried the fried green beans this time....the pickles are better, but the beans are good. This place is like home to most people in the area, myself included.

Was in the area & decided we wanted to eat. Breezy Heights Tavern was close, so we stopped. Very unique interior (see pic). They were obviously short handed as there was a sign on door that they would be closed the next three days due to not having enough kitchen staff. There was only one server, who was also acted as the bartender. She had six tables and a couple of folks at the bar. She was on top of everything, food came out quickly & hot. My girl got the steak & ribs, steak was excellent, ribs were okay. I got the "broasted chicken" since that is what they're known for. It was crispy, moist & very tasty. Would stop again if we make it back to Cross Creek Lake.

Breezy is a nice place to eat. Food is great and the service is friendly. There Broasted Chicken is delicious. A must try if in the Avella - West Middletown area.Vegetarian options: Many options for Vegitarians.Kid-friendliness: Great place for families and kids.

We just stopped for lunch and was wowed by their unexpected decor. I couldn't stop taking pictures. This place is amazing and you should go to see why we were so impressed. My husband and I both had the broasted chicken since this is their specialty. It was moist and delicious! We really enjoyed our lunch!!! They also have space available for a lunch or dinner party for 50+ people.

The food was good. When we finally got acknowledge the service was good but when you're standing there waiting and the waitress doesn't even say I'll be with you in a moment or do or say anything. Its a little frustrating. If it hadn't been for my friend taking me out for my birthday we probably wouldn't have stayed. Then with all those stuffed animals it was unsettling.....😢

My wife and I really liked this place and she'd give it a 5; however, the chicken was very tasty. Also, the large portion of fish was tasty, but tiny, and at salmon prices. The chicken dinner, on the other hand, was 5 or 6 thighs. Looked like a family-style pass-around platter. A great value.Features: None...and that's fine by us.

Service was great, my steak was over cooked but very tasty! It was really fun except for the stuffed REAL animals someone has killed. Yuck. I didn't like those, maybe they could be moved to an attached museum or something.We had fun and I would certainly do again. Its a great place!!

Chicken was amazing! But the frozen drinks were bland. Tasted like and water flavored slushies. We have 5 kids so when we go out and get a drink we are excited. So disappointed in the bar but overall good food and a fun atmosphere.

Broasted chicken here is so crispy and tender! I was very impressed. While the $14 cost seemed pricey, the 4 pieces of good size chicken plus 2 sides (linguine with marinara and a big side salad) fed my 3 kids and I (10, 8, and 3 yrs old). Round that off with a grilled chicken salad for my wife and that equaled an excellent dinner at home! Takeout here is quite easy.

We were passing through and decided to stop for some wings. We usually go to Drovers, but they are not open Monday or Tuesday.Wings are the whole type which is not a common way, but they were very tasty. Wedding soup was very good too. Service was good but place was basically dead. I would return to try dinner items.

We sat in the bar and had a great time. The barmaid was very friendly. The other patrons had us laughing our butts off. Very nice atmosphere. They have some amaizing taxidermy hanging on the walls and an actual real life taxidermy scene in the dining room. Great food!

Excellent broasted chicken and potatoes. Good value and great service. We visit and eat in the dining room about 3 to 4 times a month and order the family chicken special for pickup regularly. Great folks, great chicken, amazing homemade pasta sauce and more. What else can I say except RUN don't walk and visit often!

I and 5 friends stopped here after seeing the Meadowcroft Museum, which is just a few miles away. The place has two sides, one is a bar and the other a restaurant. We went to the restaurant. They were fairly busy, yet the service was still reasonably quick. The food seemed to be very good, and was reasonably priced. I had the Reubin sandwich and fries. Of additional interest was the owner who was there to celebrate her 93rd birthday. She was very cordial and had quite a bit to say. Everyone in my group was happy with their dinner and the total experience here. I happily recommend Breezy Heights Tavern.
