I bought an old 70s epiphone from Dave as my daughters first guitar.We took guitar home and after a couple weeks went by our daughter got it out and played it.The string started to fall off the neck some so we decided to take it back to yales and see what they could find out.I showed jediah what it was doing and he said he was going to restring it and tighten neck down because it was loose..He changed the strings tightened the neck and did something else.The guitar plays great now!.These guys have been doing the same thing for years and really know what they are doing!.I highly recommend these guys!.

Great family owned business. Has new, used and consignment stock. Acoustic and electric guitars and basses. Amps, cases, cords, and most other related items. Always getting different things in. They also do luthier work here such as setups and repairs. They do some lessons there too. Very lucky to have them so close to home. Keep up the great work Yales!

Great place to get your instrument serviced! Extremely friendly and helpful, well stocked with the necessities. Pricing for a guitar service was outstanding, and the turnaround was faster than I’m used to coming from a big city. Highly recommended, I’ll definitely be back!

I stopped into this shop today with my wife and wound up making a purchase of a Les Paul and an amp to accompany it. This shop is absolutely awesome as are the owners. It has a very old-school feel like a brick and mortar shop should have. And they gave me a great price on what my wife and I bought. I will absolutely be stopping in again and I'll bring friends.

Great place for all things musical. David and his son, Jediah, are first class, yet very friendly and down-to-earth. They have more supplies in the store than you would think, but if, by chance, they don't have it, they can get it for you. They also offer repairs and lessons. Just a great place to shop or even to visit.

I visit this store somewhat regularly. They have a decent selection for a small music shop, and can order most of what they don't have in-store. Plus the people are friendly, always down to talk shop or help you out, and there's a friendly but rather shy dog to keep you company while you wait. 10/10 would recommend.

Shame that you can't give a place six stars, because this place deserves it. I've been visiting Yale's since I arrived in the area six years ago, and I have never been disappointed in the service or the selection. I am an eclectic kind of guy, and I am always amazed that there's something else Mr. Yale manages to get into his shop. Whether it's an instrument and lessons to learn on, something new to jam with, or a funky classic that needs some work, Yale's is the place.

My husband and I went in to look for a new instrument for our son. The owner was very knowledgeable about each different instrument. He even offered to demonstrate the difference between two we were interested in. He gave us his whole attention and answered all of our questions, and his instruments were competitively and fairly priced. I would shop there any time.

Service is above 100%! Great Music shop 🎶! They have all your music needs, if they don't they can order it from their suppliers. Great timing too. They also string guitars and bass. I had my bas strung there. A++ Work.

Where my music journey began! I've been a happy customer of Yales for about 12 years give or take. I always take my instruments to for any maintenance and have never been disappointed! Took lessons right in store when I was kid, and still make sure to swing through and check things out on my lunch break every couple of weeks. These guys have been a huge influence on the local music scene! Support local business and support local music at the same time!

Everyone at Yale's are Friendly and Family. It's a super Great place wether you are picking up some strings or pics or even a New Guitar or electronic Drums, they are there with great customer service. Kudos to all at Yale's. I personally like going there!!

Dropped off my guitar for repairs, ended up not getting it fixed in time. Nobody’s fault but mine, I get impatient but on the bright side I got it home with me now all patched up myself. Very pleased to have someone call and explain the situation to me. I understand it’s difficult getting everyone’s instruments repaired in time and now I know.

Community oriented service! Can’t say enough good things about this little local shop with a heart. They pitched when needed as a drop off for a local in need of goods after being homeless. They donate to local charities. Their knowledge of musical instruments is second to none! You can’t get that off the internet. SHOP LOCAL! You can’t beat good customer service and care.

I have heard great things about Dave (the owner), his craftsmanship, and his shop so despite living over 50mi away I took my mother’s violin in to him to have him look at it. Dave looked at it for me and said that the sound post inside of it had come loose and that it also had a few small cracks in the top as well. He asked if I would like these fixed before he put on the new strings. I said that it made sense to me that this was done as well, and that I would appreciate it. He said he would try his best to get it done by Christmas. I left him my cell and work phone number to contact me on the status of the repairs. 20th of December- I still hadn’t heard from his shop. I called and Dave said that he hadn’t had a chance to look at the violin yet and it wouldn’t happen before Christmas. While I was disappointed I told him that I once again understood, and would let my Mom know he was working on it for her. Middle of January- still no phone call. There were no messages from Dave on my work or cell phone and I still hadn’t heard from his shop yet. I finally got a hold of Dave and he said (chuckled) he hadn't made it through his backlog of repairs that came before me. Fast forward now to 3/27/18. More than 3 months after I brought my Mom’s violin in to be serviced. STILL NO MESSAGE regarding the status of her instrument. I called several times on 3/27 and was finally able to get through to Dave’s son. I told him that I was concerned that I hadn’t heard ANYTHING and wondered what the status of the repairs was. He kindly said the violin was on his father’s workbench, and he would ask him about the status of the repairs and have him call me when he got back. Friday of that week came (3/23) and I still hadn’t heard anything. I tried calling a couple times and started to leave a message to let Dave know that I was really getting frustrated and needed some confirmation on what was being done, since it had been over 3 months since I brought her violin to the shop. In the middle of leaving a voice mail message his son picked up the phone abruptly and in a rude and nasty tone asked me what I was calling for. Obviously he knew since he was listening to the VMS and picked up in the middle of it. I started to explain regardless and he cut me off and said to me that “he told me that he would have his father call when he got in”. I asked him if he always talked to his customers that way. He said “If you don’t like waiting for the instrument then COME DOWN AND GET IT” in a nasty tone once more. At this point I was livid and told him I would be down to get it. My weekend was booked so I couldn’t come pick up the violin until Monday 3/26. Dave apologized to me (did not feel the sincerity although he was nice enough about it) and sent me on my way with a violin that was more deconstructed than it ever had been. He did smooth out the fingerboard some which I thanked him for, and he let me know there was a construction flaw (cracked block) in the tail end of the violin. He sent me with a couple contacts on a sticky note and I was on my way. I just don’t understand how you could have an instrument in your shop for over 3 months and not make any significant repairs on it…..let alone never ONCE call the customer letting them know about the progress (or lack of) that you were making on it. Then act like it is not really a big deal. The only time I was called was when it was already too late and I was frustrated to the point of wanting the instrument back. If you can’t repair it or don’t want to…don’t string the customer along. In the future perhaps the customer should be notified. His son’s rudeness was also inexcusable in my book. Good luck taking over the business with an attitude like that. I would not recommend this shop to anyone who values reasonable communication and service as a new customer. I will never shop here and have let all of my friends and co-workers (I have a lot of them) know of my experience as well.

Full service music shop with everything you need. They have many instruments and a lot of equipment right on site. They can order anything for you and can repair any instrument. They also offer lessons. Family owned and operated and highly recommended!
