Took our dog here for her 1 year checkup and can't say enough good things about this place! The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and answered all our questions. The technicians were knowledgeable, caring and know how to handle our playful, shy dog. Dr Harnish is amazing! She has a huge heart for any animals she treats. This is our second dog and we have always used Anthracite Animal Clinic. It's very affordable and we get top notch care for our fur baby. It's a win-win!

Being new to the area, finding a vet can be challenging. I was referred to Anthracite by two people and I can see why. The staff was very friendly and they cared. They listened to my concerns regarding Emmy and was able to figure out her issue.

Be careful!They mixed up medicines for our dog. When we approach the staff about this, they where very carefree as if it wasn't a problem and said, oops sorry about.They mixed up the dogs names as well for which animal they are seeing.Lucky this mistake of mixing up the dogs medicine was serious this time and we switched vets just in time. Other animals has not been so lucky with this mistake 😞💔😥😿.Even when they leave messages they will state a different animal hospital on there messages and give in correct names of doctors who don't work there.Be careful !

They are all wonderful at this clinic! My 14 year old , female pomeranian, who is in the stages of kidney failure, had a very bad episode. I thought I was going to lose her. She wouldn't eat and had diarrhea. They kept her hospitalized for two nights on iv fluids. This was about two weeks ago. She is now back to her normal old self again. I thank them for saving her life! And at a very reasonable price as well. Will never go to any other vet. They are hands down the absolute BEST in the area!

Absolutely loved the vet, vet tech and entire staff. Totally different atmosphere from my former vet. I have a dog with some aggression issues and they worked with him so nice, it was amazing how they comforted him while doing his exam and gave him the space he needed in the waiting room. Truly different atmosphere and approach from my former vet. I can't thank them enough and I Absolutely recommend them to anyone with furbabies, even our furbabies who need a little extra TLC.

I have been taking my cat to Dr Harnish at Anthracite Animal Clinic since 5/2018. Dr Harnish is highly skilled in vetinary care. She is compassionate and easy going. I have never felt rushed. Even though my cat is an indoor cat, she got fleas! I was quite upset. Dr Harnish reassured me and set my mind at ease. I was feeling intense guilt. In addition, Dr Harnish was extremely helpful when I brought in a stray cat (there are numerous strays where I live). She examined the cat, and we worked out a plan to spay the cat at a price I could afford. I highly recommend Anthracite Animal Clinic.

Be careful scheduling here, our appointment today was a mess. They allow the waiting room to become overcrowded with people arriving early for their appointment, and do nothing to intervene when owners have no control over their dogs allowing them to cause distress to other pets in the waiting room.After waiting for 20 minutes in the waiting room our cats were shaking from the anxiety, we tried waiting in the car but that just made the anxiety worse for our cat and the only thing we could do to calm her down was by sitting outside on the bench in the shade.By the time we were even addressed our cat had developed a fever of 104 degrees and had to be kept for a few hours to monitor her and ensure her temp went down, which I was grateful they did. What I wasn't grateful for, was the subtle repeated attempts to blame the entire situation on us, and the carrier our cat was in. It's worth mentioning that our cats were only in for their annual shots, in no way an emergency case.I am writing this review because I hope in the future some sort of policy change happens to better help avoid this in the future. Our cat is fine and healthy now, but at some point this is going to get a pet hurt. When asking if there would be a better time to bring our pets in, either earlier in the morning or later at night, the response was "Sometimes earlier, sometimes later, sometimes earlier in the week sometimes later" and I felt as if my concerns were just dismissed.This could have been avoided. If possible, there needs to be a higher focus put on scheduling. There are tools to monitor traffic occurring throughout the week, a simple heads up when scheduling an appointment on a day that trends with higher traffic would give the owner an option to reschedule to a day that may not be so distressing to their pet, if given the notice of the wait today we would have rescheduled.

I really love AAC. They are very caring and kind. And the whole Covid set up is awesome. My experience couldn't have been any better. I am absolutely happy with the kindness and caring staff and how good they are with my dogs.

I bring my fur babies there often. I have 12 fur babies in all and keep rescuing more to bring here for their medical needs.Today, the system was down. That part sucks for everyone in general. Still, I had another appt, and they got B and I in and out fairly quickly. B seemed to like them and had no gripes with his visit.Next month, I take all but 4 other fur babies in again.As a Cavalry Veteran from the Gulf War and the Cuban exodus crisis, I feel they do a great job of showing fur babies great care and attention. They communicate well...(unless the systems down) but that's something they do work around when it happens.

There was a good process of being organized to get your pet examined. They left you know exactly what to do. You're not allowed in clinic at which it keeps the doctors and staff safe. Downfall. It took a hour. Curbside as they may call it is longer drawn out and makes it harder on the staff at which they are not accustomed to. All I have to say is thank you for being open to take care of my cat Boo.

Had a great experience at Anthracite Animal Clinic, LLC last evening. We took Scout to establish care and make sure his vaccinations are up to date. The Veterinarian was patient, thorough and pleasant, made recommendations and explained all the options. The pet wellness plan offered there is comprehensive and affordable. Appointment availability and evening hours are convenient. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful - highly recommend.
